As we know, there are so many things that could be filed under that umbrella. However, in this instance, Phil is referring to a new OpenAI technology called “Voice Engine”.

Voice Engine replicates or “clones” voices with a 15-second sample and has the capability to translate that voice to other languages other than the speaker’s native language.

If not regulated or watermarked in some way, this technology opens the door to voice impersonations of prominent individuals such as politicians and celebrities.

To put your mind at ease (for now), this new technology is not yet available to the public.

A recent poll of working Americans found the traditional 9-5 work hours are no longer compatible with employee home-life or lifestyle. Those polled said a 9-5 work schedule is an old idea that should be updated.

The poll also addressed pay dates which had the opposite reaction. Instead of bi-weekly or bi-monthly paychecks, working Americans would like to see weekly pay make a comeback.

Republican law makers in Wisconsin are drafting a bill which would allow very restrictive medical marijuana use in the state, making medicinal marijuana available for the first time in Wisconsin history. One lawmaker stated that the bill isn’t about recreational use, the goal is to get medical marijuana to those who need it for most for health-related reasons, and medical treatments. The proposed bill would be voted on later this year.

A Wisconsin family will never be the same because of a fatal crash that took the lives of 4 siblings. A Neenah man is facing criminal felony charges, including a 5th OWI, for the head-on crash on December 16th.

September 11th is a day many of us will never forget. Where we were, or what we were doing when national media was flooded with images and audio of the events transpiring, and the emotions that went along with it. The youth currently attending in our schools were not yet born when this devastation took place. A Miley Cyrus and Dolly Parton collaboration was deemed too controversial to be performed by students at a Waukesha, Wisconsin elementary school last week.

First grade students were preparing to perform “Rainbowland”, a duet between pop star Miley Cyrus, and country legend Dolly Parton. “Rainbowland”, a song that praises acceptance and tells a story about overcoming "hurt and hate" and celebrating life in shining color. Administrators for the Waukesha school district vetoed the song selection ahead of the spring concert.

Former Fond du Lac School District Superintendent, and now current Waukesha School District Superintendent, Jim Sebert said the school received two inquiries about the 2017 song from parents.

“It was determined that ‘Rainbowland’ could be perceived as controversial,” Sebert reportedly said in a statement, referencing school board decision. “The main question was is the song appropriate for the age level and maturity of the students.” and concerns for the "social or personal impacts" on the children. He also cited a school board policy related to "controversial issues" in a classroom setting.
