About 5 years ago we rented a room to a close friend of ours, and we started having these conversations about everything from church, hopes, and dreams to everyday life. We called them HOUSE TALKS. These conversations challenged us, grew us, and even sparked growth and ideals that still burn brightly in us today. Kenyn invites you to sit down and join a house talk with her in the hopes that the same way those talks have stayed with us till now, that they would sink deeply into your heart and cause an outbreak of God's will in every part of your life.
A funny conversation with a 3-year-old at a company Christmas party leads to some deep introspection. The question was posed, "What are you afraid of?" There are some things in life we know without a doubt that we are not afraid of. If asked we can respond, with quickness and assurance, that we are not afraid. But why is it that we can be so confidently unafraid of fill-in-the-blank, but then not apply that same level of courage to other areas of our life? If we base our fearlessness on the God we serve and Who we belong to, then shouldn't that apply across the board? So ask yourself, what am I afraid of?
It's Christmas time! It's a beautiful time for friends, family, gifts, and gatherings. But it can also be a painful reminder of what or who isn't present. In this episode Kenyn takes the time to dig into the fact that God wants to comfort us in the midst of our hard times, but do we always let Him? We often let things get in the way of the very One who wants to bring us the comfort we are so desperately searching for.
