On today's podcast where we'll be discussing Jake's 417 Pest Solutions company truck and system. Jake is a pest control expert and his company's ideology is based on being efficient, effective, and lean, similar to Chick-fil-A's small menu approach.
Jake believes in keeping things simple and super lean to avoid wasting time, effort, and resources. His truck is a reflection of this ideology. He uses the deck system with two drawers labeled as most used and least used for easy access to his equipment and products. He pays his employees every morning to fix what "bugs" them, and make the truck more effective, efficient, and clean.
Jake loves the deck system because it's super convenient and easy to use. He has products that are all labeled and organized. Ensuring that everything is labeled, makes it easier for his employees to use the truck efficiently. Knowing exactly where everything is allows for a smooth and quick service that the customers love.
One of Jake's ideas for becoming even more efficient is to switch to Tesla's electric vehicles for his fleet. Electric vehicles would help him lower his overhead costs by reducing gas expenses. However, Jake acknowledges that everyone has different visions and goals, and the use of any vehicle is ultimately up to the individual's preference.
The 417 Pest Solutions company truck and system, reflects his ideology of keeping things simple, lean, and efficient. His use of the deck system and labeling of equipment and products help ensure that his employees can easily find and use what they need. Welcome to the Pest Control Entrepreneur Show! In today's episode, we will discuss a Super Simple Recruiting Process that you can implement today in your business. As entrepreneurs in the pest control industry, recruiting employees can be a daunting task. However, with the right strategy, it can be a breeze. Before we dive into our topic, we ask that you support the channel by liking, subscribing, commenting, and sharing this episode. It helps us create more valuable content for you in the future.
Critical Client Flow - Systemology:
The first step in our Super Simple Recruiting Process is to understand the Critical Client Flow or Systemology. This process consists of Attention, Inquiry, Sale, Money, Onboarding, Delivery, and Repeat. By applying this process to recruiting employees, you can simplify and streamline the process.
Create a Video to post on Indeed:
One way to apply the Critical Client Flow to recruiting employees is by creating a video to post on Indeed. This video should showcase your company's culture, core values, vision, and direction. It should also discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of the job position to be completely transparent with potential applicants. In the video, start with a hook intro to grab the viewer's attention. Then, discuss how the potential employee can apply for the position by submitting a resume. For those who are really interested, you can ask them to submit a brief video answering questions such as: How do you feel you will be able to contribute to our team? What are you looking forward to most if you were hired? What do you enjoy doing for fun? This allows you to screen applicants and get a better understanding of their personality, values, and work ethic.
Why you do it this way:
This process allows you to attract applicants who are not just interested in the job position, but also in your company's culture and vision. By being transparent about the job position and the company, you can filter out those who may not be a good fit for the job or the company culture. Additionally, by asking applicants to submit a video, you can get a better understanding of their personality, communication skills, and enthusiasm for the job.
Conclusion:
Recruiting employees can be simplified by applying the Critical Client Flow or Systemology and creating a video to post on Indeed. By being transparent about the job position and the company culture, you can attract applicants who are a good fit for the job and the company. Additionally, by asking applicants to submit a video, you can better understand their personality and enthusiasm for the job.
We hope this episode helps you in your recruitment process and stay tuned for more valuable content on the Pest Control Entrepreneur Show!

Welcome to the new episode of the "Pest Control Entrepreneur," Jake gets interviewed on the “Pest Control Millionaire,” show hosted by Jonas Olson, a successful entrepreneur. In this episode, you will hear about Jake's journey towards systemizing his business, the importance of empowering others, and about the mentors that lead him to becoming the success he is today.
One of the main themes that Jake discusses is the importance of creating systems in your business. Jake explains that he wanted to provide phenomenal customer service, and in order to do that without hiring someone for sales, he achieved it by doing things like creating phone scripts, a scheduling system, and a system that explains expectations on how to get repeat business.
Another theme that Jake discusses is the importance of having mentors and learning new things in order to grow as a person and a business. He recommends reading books like "The Slight Edge," "The Compound Effect," "Atomic Habits," "Traction," "Profit First," "100 Million Dollar Offers," and "How To Win Friends and Influence People." Jake believes that having mentors and learning new things are crucial to personal and professional growth.
Jake also wishes he had a personal and business vision from the start, and he explains that having a vision is the roadmap to success that helps you live a fulfilling life. It becomes a filter so that all the things that look like opportunities are actually a distraction. It's essential to create boundaries and set standards for your company.
In conclusion, Jake emphasizes the importance of creating systems, having a personal and business vision, learning from mentors, and setting clear expectations and boundaries for your company. Jake's advice is invaluable for anyone looking to start their own business or scale an already existing one.

Welcome back to the "Pest Control Entrepreneur" podcast, hosted by Jake Ingledue. In this episode, Jake is going to share with you the ultimate guide to landing your first client by using a simple marketing strategy that really works. As an entrepreneur, Jake's pest control business not only pays his bills, but also allows the freedom and time to be with his family.
Jake introduces a simple marketing strategy/plan, which starts with defining your ideal avatar. This means knowing the demographic, geographic, and psychographic information about your potential clients.
Once you have enough information about them, you can create your value proposition/offer. This is determined by what your three uniques are: 1. What sets you apart, 2. What's your proven process, and 3. What's your customer guarantee.
In this episode, Jake also teaches you how to implement the Guerrilla warfare marketing strategy, by recommending door-to-door sales while targeting a specific neighborhood or area. He suggests buying door hangers, sending direct mailers, putting out yard signs, and buying enough business cards to reach out to 1000 homes. Additionally, he encourages entrepreneurs to establish a Google My Business account, Facebook account, and to provide high-quality service.
In conclusion, making money with pest control can be super simple when using these techniques. However, it requires making a move and taking action to implement these strategies. As Jake says, "Entrepreneurship is such a beautiful personal growth and development program."

Welcome to the latest episode of “Pest Control Entrepreneur” podcast. In today's episode Jake talks with Chaz Wolfe, the host of “Gathering The Kings” podcast, about becoming a successful entrepreneur with multiple businesses under his belt. Jake is the founder of 417 Pest Control, he’s a real estate investor, runs a lawn mowing business, and hosts another podcast called “The Growth Circle” podcast.
1: The Journey
Jake's journey started in a completely different field. He went to school to become a dentist and was about to take the DAT when he realized that he didn't like it. After shadowing several dentists, he realized that it wasn't something he wanted to do. So, he switched his degree to business and started exploring other opportunities.
In the summers, Jake did door-to-door pest control sales, which eventually led him to start his own pest control company, 417 Pest Control. He read a book called "CashFlow Quadrant” by Robert T. Kiyosaki, that talked about the importance of not getting stuck in being employed. He realized that even though anyone can have an LLC, they can still be working in a business rather than on their business. So, he focused on creating systems so that his business could run without him.
2: The Big “Why”
Jake's big “Why” is his vision of having the freedom to make choices and live an intentional life. He wants to be able to create more choices for himself through the money he earns.
Jake also believes in intentional networking and masterminding. He is part of real estate groups and mastermind groups, and he networks all the time. He believes that your network is your net worth.
3: Where To Place Focus
One of the things Jake focuses on is quality of service and getting good reviews on Google. He also has mentors who have helped him along the way. He is not someone who wants to micro-manage people, but he knows that most people need to be managed. He learned from Hugh Carnahan, the Hillbilly Millionaire, that the purpose of a business is to develop people. If you can empower your people to make their lives easier, you will start growing.
When asked what he would do if he only had one hour a week to work on his business, Jake said he would focus on developing his people. He believes that taking massive action and investing in your people is the key to success.
Closing:
Jake's journey is a testament to the power of taking action and being intentional about your choices. His story shows that it's possible to start with something small and build it into something big by focusing on quality, systems, and people. His big why is what drives him, and he knows that the opposite of fear is faith.
If you want to be successful, you need to take action even when you don't know the outcome. Jake is a great example of that, and I hope you found his story inspiring.
