There is so much more to marriage than just, "I do."
There’s money. And intimacy.
Family history and unmet expectations.
Career changes, parenting decisions, communication breakdowns, and simple disagreements.
Marriage is harder than we expected because it is bigger than we imagined.
And yet, a great marriage is still possible -
all we have to do is lay down our lives for one another —
Great marriages are more than just, "I do." They are death to me and life to you.

What if the new year looks different? What if we give our minds, hearts, and soul some time to breathe? This January we are going hands-free, a digital fast to step away from the scroll. Less noise, more presence. Less distraction, more devotion. Let's start the year with open hands and let God fill them up.

Tis the season. For laughter, for joy, of being together. Then there's the chaos, the big opinions, and the awkward of being together again. For some, its the best time of the year. For others... it's complicated. Maybe both because home isn't perfect but God is present.

If I were to pursue God every day, my faith would grow. But if I'm honest, habits are hard for me. And if I don't choose good habits, bad habits tend to choose me.
And God doesn't love us any more based upon how much we pursue him or not. But when we pursue him, something good forms in us. We begin to enjoy the God we once dismissed. We begin to crave the connection that each encounter creates.
We believe that chasing God is so good for all of us. And so for the next month, we're going to challenge each other to form a habit of reading, writing, and praying that just might shape your future. In this series that we're calling 30 for 30.
