We come to the end of James and it ends with a bang! Prayer and why we pray. 6 Verses on prayer and 2 on bringing a brother home to Jesus.
13 Is anyone among yousuffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises.
14 Is anyone among you sick?Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him,anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;
15 and the prayer offered infaith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and ifhe has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.
16 Therefore, confess your sinsto one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. Theeffective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
17 Elijah was a man with anature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it didnot rain on the earth for three years and six months.
18 Then he prayed again, andthe sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.
19 My brethren, if any amongyou strays from the truth and one turns him back,
20 let him know that he whoturns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and willcover a multitude of sins.

The Eclipse, End Times and Keeping Your Fork - James 5:7-12
7 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and laterains.
8 You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near.
9 Do not complain, brethren, against one another, so that you yourselves may not be judged; behold, theJudge is standing right at the door.
10 As an example, brethren, of suffering and patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.
11 We count those blessed whoendured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.
12 But above all, my brethren,do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and yourno, no, so that you may not fall under judgment.

James5:1-6
1 Come now, you rich people, weep andhowl for your miseries which are coming upon you.
2 Your riches have rotted, and yourgarments have become moth-eaten.
3 Your gold and your silver havecorroded, and their corrosion will serve as a testimony against you and willconsume your flesh like fire. It in the in the last days you have stored upyour treasure.
4 Behold, the pay ofthe laborers who mowed your fields, and which has beenwithheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry ofthose who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord ofarmies.

James 4:13-17
13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.”
14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. For you are just avapor that appears for a little while, and then vanishes away.
15 Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we willlive and also do this or that.”
16 But as it is, you boast in your [n]arrogance; all such boasting is evil.
17 So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, for him it is sin.

Live Differently pt. 1 - God Vs. The World
Today’s teenager lives in a hyper-sexualized culture. And while sexual immorality is an almost timeless struggle, the world your students live in seems to take the glamorization of sex to unprecedented levels. Culture calls teenagers to live a life where sexual activity and sexual expression are a vital part of their identity. But the Bible challenges your students to embrace God’s view of sex and sexuality, to rise above the message of culture, and to instead live holy lives. In short, the Bible calls your students to Live Differently.
Live Differently will teach your students God’s intent for sex and how God views sex outside of this intent. Most importantly, Live Differently will help you challenge your students with God’s call to live a life of holiness in a world of sexual immorality.
