I have learned that privilege does not mean that one has not had a hardship. It simply means that whatever your privilege is- such as being white- that is not one of the things that causes hardship. It’s not about what you have gone through- it’s about what you haven’t had to go through.

She completed her Psychiatry residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She lives in Baltimore County with her husband and two daughters.
