Trying to become heart healthy isn’t easy for us old folks who are "old school" and set in their ways. I hope to share some of my lessons both successes and failures. Hopefully it will help keep me motivated and on track. And if I can help someone along the way, awesome! Heart Health is a challenge for many adults and learning how to become "Heart Healthy" isn't easy nor is it cheap! My goal is to figure out a way to alter my lifestyle to more coincide with what is considered Heart Healthy.
Let's talk about the heart healthy diet! Or what I think might be one. There are way too many sources and descriptions of what heart healthy eating entales. evrybody has their own ideas. So I am blazing my own trail in hopes of giving me the best chance of success. My cadriologist says I need to walk 2 miles every day. My Family doctor says 45 minutes 3 times a week. Who is right? Is that total mileage per day? Do the miles I normally walk at work count? I ramble about these questions during this episode.
