In Luke 18, Jesus isn't giving us a lesson on having childlike faith. He's showing us something even more profound.Beginning with the persistent widow, moving through Jesus welcoming little children, continuing with the rich ruler, and ending with the disciples asking, "Who then can be saved?", Luke weaves together a single message: we are completely helpless to save ourselves.Infants don't bring accomplishments, wisdom, or spiritual maturity. They simply receive. That's the picture Jesus gives us of salvation.The answer to "Who can be saved?" isn't found in trying harder or believing better. It's found in the mercy of God.The chapter culminates with Jesus telling His disciples that He will suffer, die, and rise again on the third day. The resurrection isn't an afterthought—it's the reason salvation is possible at all. Not as an idea.Actually.And I might be wrong…but I think we’ve heard that so many times that we’ve stopped thinking about what it really means.Because if that’s true—then it changes everything.In this episode, I walk through:what the incarnation actually iswhy it mattered so much to the early churchand what it means that Jesus didn’t stop being humanHe lived as a human. He died as a human. He rose as a human. And right now—He is seated at the right hand of God as a human being.So this isn’t just theology.This is about:who God iswhat it means to be humanand why your life might matter more than you thinkAnd I might be wrong…but I don’t think the problem is that God feels far away.I think we’re just looking for Him in the wrong places.
Most Christians have heard the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25 explained as a lesson about using our gifts and abilities.But the word talent in Jesus’ time didn’t mean skills or natural ability. It meant a massive amount of money — a treasure entrusted to servants while the master was away.So what if the parable isn’t about our talents at all?In this episode of I Might Be Wrong, we take a deeper look at Matthew 25:14–30 and explore the possibility that the treasure Jesus is talking about is actually the Kingdom of God itself.And if that’s true, then the warning in the parable may not be about wasting the treasure…It may be about burying it.What happens when the Gospel is treated as something to protect rather than something meant to be shared?
This episode explores the story of the Samaritan woman at the well in Gospel of John chapter 4, and how it connects directly to the message of John 3:16–17.We often quote John 3:16 as a statement about salvation, but in John’s Gospel the meaning becomes visible in real time through Jesus’ encounter with a Samaritan woman — someone who stood outside the boundaries of religion, culture, and respectability.And yet something surprising happens.While the disciples struggle to understand what Jesus is doing, the Samaritan woman becomes the one who carries the message to her entire town.In many ways, she does what the disciples should have done.This conversation at the well reveals something radical about the kingdom of God: the love described in John 3:16 was never meant to stay inside religious boundaries. It was always moving outward.
