Today on our bonus episode we go back to Motorama and this time we sat down with Cam Thomson. This weeks episode of the True North Racing Podcast we are joined by the Wildman Cody Wilds. 2023 saw the 17 year old move from the smaller stock cars (i.e Legends, Mini Trucks & Jr. Late Models) to a full size stock car in the super stocks at Delaware Speedway. Though Wilds suffered a season ending injury in a violent wreck Cody is getting better each day and is on track to be back behind a super stock in 2024. We learned how Cody got into racing from the first time when he was going to the track when he was just 4 years old. Cody asked his dad the following day to get a race car and shortly there after the young Wildman was behind the wheel of a stock car. From there Cody was been addicted to this crazy sport and continues to learn each day. From watching footage to talking with other drivers to understand more about not only his car but how to be more competitive.

It is that special time of the week when we drop a brand new episode of the True North Racing Podcast. We were joined by co-creator and director of Friday Night Thunder, Laura Milliken. We were also joined by two of the assistant directors in Melissa Jim and Neil Annett. We got to learn how Friday Night Thunder as created and what we can expect from season 3.During our first segment with Laura we dived into her beginnings before Friday Night Thunder. Laura would go on to talk about her involvement in many of the productions Laura has been apart of. Laura took the time to open up about her early life, her sobriety and how Friday Night Thunder had brought her close to people that would treat her like family. Then we got on the topic of Friday Night Thunder and what it meant to Laura. We learned about how the show was created and how in 2019 they hit up Ohsweken Speedway to film different drivers and start telling their stories. Jon was then joined by Melissa Jim and Neil Annett, and we got to learn about their roles in the show as Melissa is not only an assistant director but the go pro director as well. Neil is an assistant director and works on the story telling side of the series. Melissa start her journey working with Big Soul Productions and has been apart of the Friday Night Thunder since day 1. We would talk about how the series has evolved over the years and what difficulties they faced when COVID would shut down Ohsweken Speedway for two seasons. Neil is currently working on her second season of Friday Night Thunder while they currently work on Season 4 of the show.

We sat down with Kyle and talked to him about his beginnings in the pure stock division. We're rocking a new episode of the True North Racing Podcast and we hope you're ready for this one. Jeremy Barton joins us for Episode 104 of the show. Jeremy races the #84 in the Young Drivers Canadian Vintage Modifieds on Saturday and races the #84 in the HRW Automotive Mini Stocks at Ohsweken Speedway Friday nights.

We got to know more about Jeremy from when he first got into racing. His family background and how racing was running through veins. Coming from a racing family with the Barton name racing in the Canadian Vintage Modifieds. 2016 marked the first season that Jeremy got behind the wheel of a stock car. Jeremy has been racing on/off with the cvms for a number of seasons. This year Jeremy has turned attention and running two cars. His Friday night ride being prepared by Thorne Racing and then running his family owned ride Saturday nights.

We return for Episode 103 of the True North Racing Podcast. This week on the show we were joined by Carter Nichol. Carter drives the #52 Bone Stock up at Grand Bend Speedway. Before we brought in Carter and get to know him Jon and Megan broke down what they got up to for the weekend. Jon and Megan were supposed to compete in the Beerlympics at Megan's house. Due to weather, all of us sat around and had a great time. Jon confirmed he has set up a practice date with BT Racing to get behind the wheel. Race date is still TBD so stay tuned!

It was the time you've all been waiting for. We brought in Carter. Carter is 14 years old and races in the Kid Stock and Bone Stocks at Grand Bend Speedway. Carter has been racing for the better part of 7 years getting his start in the Micro Sprint Division. Carter has raced the past two seasons in the Bone Stock Division where he has been perfecting his race craft. Carter will be racing the rest of the season at Grand Bend Speedway on Thursday and Saturday nights.

We have now passed fully into the triple digits of episodes for the podcast and we couldn't be happier. Hope you enjoyed listening to last weeks episode featuring Adam Ross. As we move forward with the show we now turn our attention to episode 101 of the True North Racing Podcast featuring this weeks guest Bryan Batty. Bryan races in the OSCAAR Modifieds a touring division in Ontario. We learned about Bryan getting started in motorsports by working with Whitlock Motorsports during the CASCAR/ NASCAR Canadian Tire Series before getting started behind the wheel. We talked to Bryan about his start behind the wheel racing dirt carts down in the states as well as back home. We learned about how Bryan got into the OSCAAR Modifieds and what he enjoyed about the division. We enjoyed talking to Bryan and we hope to see him back on track this weekend at Delaware Speedway.

At the beginning of the episode Jon and Megan broke down their weekends talking about the nights events at Flamboro Speedway. How the Meet The Drivers night was cancelled due to the rain. We hope they can reschedule it for a later date as it is a premier night for the track. We also had a fan submit a topic for Jon and Megan to discuss. The topic was what do fans want to see from drivers. What can tracks do to help promote their drivers.

On Saturday night you can catch Cam taking his Pure Stock to Flamboro Speedway to do battle on the asphalt.

With this being Cams fourth appearance on the show we love to catch up with Cam to find out how his race season has been going since the last time we spoke to him on the podcast. We learned how Cam came into the deal with the Crate Sprint and how he has been enjoying his time in the Sprint Car.

Welcome back to a new week of the True North Racing Podcast! This week we welcome the 2022 Pure Stock Champion of Flamboro Speedway Reece Bourgeois. Before bringing in Reece, Jon and Megan would break down their weekends. Megan would breakdown her brother Chase as he returns to the seat after taking off the 2022 season. Though it was a new car, MRC Racing through it back to their ride from the 2021 season.

Bringing in Reece we would talk about getting her start in racing. From sitting up in the stands cheering on her favourite drivers to convincing her mom to let her race. After a bad wreck in 2019 that would sidelined Reece for the year and with COVID hitting. Reece would have to wait until the 2021 season to run a full season. Reece would talk about her beginnings, learning through adversity as well championship run in 2022.

As we let Reece go, Jon and Megan would talk about the conversation with Reece. Jon went go off taking a long time to explain why he didn't go to a race track this summer. We got a new episode of the True North Racing Podcast presented by Vision 20 Studios coming at you featuring this weeks guest Brad Holmes. Brad has spent driving in a division we don't normally get to talk about and that is the Outlaw Midgets/ Pro Midgets. Brad has spent time on/off racing between the Hurricane Midgets, Outlaw Midgets & Pro Sprints.

Before bringing in Brad, Megan and Jon would talk about their weekends and what they got up to during the weekend including going to Ohsweken on Friday night and talking about the accidents that happened over the course of the night. Jon talked about making his trip to Peterborough Speedway to shoot a vlog with Brandon Feeney.

After bringing in Brad into the show we would get to know more about his background and how he got into racing. Jon and Megan would go on to learn a lot about the difference between the Midgets and the Pro Sprints. Brad did a great job of explaining the differences. We learned that Brad will be building a car to hopefully bring out this season and we look forward to seeing him race this summer.

After our conversation with Brad, Jon and Megan would talk about their new Kaitlyn Wallace apparel and how we were sitting in the Wallace Racing fan section at Ohsweken as mostly everyone we did go with was wearing her apparel. Megan announced she will be at Flamboro this weekend enjoying a night of racing. If you see her at the track stop by and say hi! Connor in 2022 took his talents from the Pure Stock division and tried his hand in the OSCAAR Hot Rod Series. Jon and Megan returned to the their studios this week a day later than usual but to say it's a good episode is an understatement. We got the chance to sit down with the Crew Chief and head of the social media department at CowPro Motorsports we talked with Scott "Scooter" Pro.

Before bringing in Scott. Megan and Jon talked about their almost off weekend. Jon talked about taking him and Jacklyn went Go-Karting for the first time. Jon talked about almost not getting to wear his new helmet, Passing Jacklyn. Megan and Jon discussed about setting up a Go-Kart event in the off season. Should we consider Chases win at the Go-Kart Track a feature win? Megan getting to competitive go-karting.

With only a couple short weekends left in the race season left in the race year it's hard to believe it's almost over as Delaware Speedway crowned two champions on Friday night in their Pro Late Model division won by #03 Ray Morneau Jr. The Super Stocks also capped off their season with #43 Jae Doerr grabbing Championship. Velocity's Fall weekend feature event was rained out and the track is looking to make up a rain date to cap of their 2022 season. It's Championship night at Flamboro Speedway this coming weekend with the Canadian Vintage Modifieds, Pure Stocks and Mini Stocks crowning their champions for the season. During intermission all cars are invited to join the Canadian Vintage Modifieds as they will do some parade laps with Christmas lights and glow sticks in support of Scott Tonelli's Mental Health Initiative at Grand River Hospital.

Now to the good stuff. This weeks guest being Scott Pro also known as "Scooter". Scooter is the crew chief for the #13 Pontiac in the OSCAAR Qwick Wick Hot Rod Series. We talked to Scooter about how he got started into racing and his recent background into short track racing and how they got involved into the Hot Rod Series. Scooter also talked about his involvement into social media. If you haven't seen their TikToks you have the opportunity to check them out by clicking here. Scooter also gave us insight on how the Hot Rod Series unique tire rule works for their division. At the end of the conversation Megan came in with the Fan Question Period to cap off our time with Scott.
