A few weeks ago I shared my desire to lose weight and stay fit, having a good body shape, and took a step in that regard by subscribing for a membership at a gym in my neighborhood to bring those aspirations to reality. I did share a video on my beginning phrase and how difficult it's for me to just begin this exercise, but now I'm pleased to tell you that there have been some positive changes, and I'll show and tell you all about it in this article.

When I began my weigh lose journey weeks ago, I can remember how I break down after indulging in just few minutes of exercise, it's funny because when I see some of the workouts routine I'm placed on, I just smile within me that it's gonna be easy because it did look easy, but after getting into the routine within 5 to 10 minutes, I'm already panting heavily and looking like I'll faint in the newt minute.

But that's no more the case, in fact most times now, when I resumed to the gym and Indulge in different forms of exercise, I still find myself filled with strength and ready to go again or just go home without the fear of breaking down on the way like I experienced in my first week, so with that being said, let take a delve into some of the recent workout routine I indulge in on my weigh loss journey.

So recently a lady alos joined the gym and wanted almost same thing I wanted which is to lose weigh including belly fat, and the gym instructor decided to take us through some routine together, although some differs based on the gym and difference in the preferences of our desired shapes, but these are ones that are similar.

We went from pecking or so, I really don't know the names of gym exercise routine, but the instructor called it something like that, and according to him, these helps build ones resilience, and as well burn some fat, having someone train alongside me was a motivation for me, as now I don't want to be on the losing side, because I sees it as an healthy competition, that pushes both of us to our limits and eventually achieving the desires body shape.

Also being that she's a lady, I tried as much to do more than the numbers of activities she does, so people like my friend Nkem won't laugh me after seeing this video, I know she still will regardless of if I do more than the lady in question or not, and it's not like I'm belittling the capacity of a lady, just just using it as a motivation for me to push myself to achieving more and doing beyond what's my limit.

Overall I'm pleased with the progress, although I want more, and I'm been advised to also indulge in dieting to hasten the progress, which is something that's somewhat difficult, but I'm giving it a shot and hope with time I'll get there, as it's my desire, I guess I've no choice but to give it all it takes, sacrificing whatever needs to be sacrificed.

If there's something I don't like about myself lately, it's definitely my body status and how big I'm getting by the day. It even becomes more annoying when some friends tell me I'm fat or getting fatter. This gets to me, and I decided to initiate a change in that regard, and so I hit the gym. Prior to this time, I'm not the type of person who goes to the gym and indulges in any form of exercise except walking, but in my bid to lose weight, the narrative has changed, and here is a highlight of my first day at the gym.

Before I delve into my ordeal at the gym, it's worth noting that I first saw a scale with my brother Rahmon, and I decided to check my body weight. On stepping on the scale, I realized I'm about 106 kilograms. That's surprising because I thought it'd be way more than that, and I said this because four years ago I used to weigh 105 kg, and then I'm not as big as I'm now, so I'm unsure if it's only one kg I added and yet had so much fat. Well, my mission now is to lose body fat, stay fit, and maintain a decent body stature.

So at the gym I had to subscribe for a month, and that's cost 15,000 naira for a month, and with how tiring I fear the process might be, I decided to pay for a whole month that does a daily payment, which might make me not committed to the process. I let the gym instructor know my purpose for coming and how I'm not used to exercising and needing guidance to achieve my goals; he told me he'd be my coach, and so the journey to weight loss began that very day.

I started on the treadmill, where I was first asked to walk at a steady pace on the machine. As time goes on, the coach gradually increases the speed until I started literally juggling on the treadmill. Being someone who walks a lot, I thought it's going to be an easy task, but minutes into the process, I felt the heat and difficulty in maintaining the same pace or increasing for 20 minutes. By the time the coach called that phrase off, I was literally exhausted and panting heavily.

From the treadmill, he led me to this small, standing device, of which I don't know the name, and then he asked me to climb it and then jump down, jump on the same spot ten times, and repeat the same process over and over again. At first, I thought it's a fun activity that I'll easily do hungover without any difficulty, but just after 5 of such, I was already tired and felt loads of pain on my back, groin, and lap; it was so much that I had to stop for a while.

I guess the coach understood my plight and allowed me to rest for a minute and then continue once again. It wasn't an easy task, I must tell you, and at a time I was like, It's like I've used my own money to buy punishment for myself, but then I kept on going because of the main purpose that pushed me to the gym at first.

He also made me wear a glove and punch a punching bag. I've never all my life been involved in a fight that leads to throwing punches, so I was so awkward in that, and after watching the video of me punching the bag, I couldn't help but laugh at myself, but then he said it's also necessary in my quest to stay fit and lose weight, and the punch will help regulate the fat in my arms.

I also indulge in high knees exercise that we used a stick and have to move my legs up continuously; this is another exercise I thought would be easy, but I guess virtually everything is difficult or it's a so because I've never been exercising prior to that, so being my first time I felt it so much, I also did some other exercises which I don't know their names, and after about two hours at the gym, the coach called off the task for the day, and I decided to rest for a minute.

While resting, I began to lose weight continuously, and it seems as though I'm going to faint. I had to just lay down on the floor and rest for a minute before I regained some strength and went home. Overall, it's not easy at all, but I'm committed to the task at hand and hope to lose weight continuously till I'm fit and in shape.

Hello Vibes community, Once again, this is Vickoly, and today in my entry for the Vibes Web 3 Music Competition Week 8, I'll be presenting one of the most popular songs of world-famous Dolly Parton, titled Coat of Many Colors. This is a song she composed in 1969, and during one of her interviews, I recall hearing her describe the song as a typical story of her life and experiences while growing up.

The song is one of love, humility, perspective, and how we shouldn't let our present state determine our actions or how we see life. Who would have thought that a young girl from such a poor background would rise up to stardom and become what she's today? I'm inspired by her life. Well, that's about it. I'd love to appreciate lordbutterfly for such a mind-blowing initial that fosters the growth of music and talent discovery in the Web 3 space.

Here is a lyric of the song,Coat of Many Colours.

Back through the years I go wanderin' once again
Back to the seasons of my youth
I recall a box of rags that someone gave us
And how my momma put the rags to use

There were rags of many colors
But every piece was small
And I didn't have a coat
And it was way down in the fall

Momma sewed the rags together
Sewin' every piece with love
She made my coat of many colors
That I was so proud of

As she sewed, she told a story
From The Bible, she had read
About a coat of many colors
Joseph wore and then she said

"Perhaps this coat will bring you
Good luck and happiness"
And I just couldn't wait to wear it
And momma blessed it with a kiss

My coat of many colors
That my momma made for me
Made only from rags
But I wore it so proudly

Although we had no money
Oh, I was rich as I could be
In my coat of many colors
My momma made for me

So with patches on my britches
And holes in both my shoes
In my coat of many colors
I hurried off to school

Just to find the others laughing
And making fun of me
And my coat of many colors
My momma made for me

And oh I couldn't understand it
For I felt I was rich
And I told them of the love
My momma sewed in every stitch

Hello, Vibes Common, It's about the seventh edition of the Vibes Web 3 Music Competition, and we're in week 7. Once again, I'm Vickoly, and this week I'll be presenting a song by Asa, a Nigerian musician based in France. I'll be doing a cover of her song So Beautiful (Mama Mi'), an amazing song dedicated to mothers around the globe for their relentless efforts towards dedicating their all to raising their children and future generations. I'll be doing the same with my song, and I hope you enjoy it as you listen.

As we all know, the role of women and mothers can't be downplayed in society; without them, there's no future for humanity, and without their sacrifices of their bodies and time, all the world would have had you and me in it to chase our dreams and achieve great things in it, and so with that mindset,I decided to dedicate this song to my mother, every single mother on the hive blockchain, and the world at large.

Although most of the song was sung in one of the native dialects in Nigeria, known simply as Yoruba, I hope you resonate with it and join me in appreciating our mother's, because they're awesome. I'll also love to give a shout-out and kudos to Lord Butterfly for his amazing job being done week in and week out in the Vibe community. Thanks for all you do, and have a great one.

Here is a lyric of the song, SO BEAUTIFUL (MAMA Mi);

"So Beautiful"

Beautiful is your name
Wonderful is what you are to me
It's you I see in my dreams
Everyday and I pray for you
Queen of my life
You're so beautiful mama.
You're beautiful

Emi n wa mama kan
Ta lori yeye yen
Mama mi o roju ri
And that's why I'm lovng you

Nitori omo o jiya
Ni le oko
Mama mi ko roju ri
And that's why am loving you

La la la la
la la la o o
You are beautiful
You are beautiful

Ebami kira fun mama mi
Orisha bi iya o
Ko si laiye

Woman there is
No one like you
Nitori omo o jiya
Ni le oko
Mama mi ko ro oju ri
And that is why am loving you

La la la la
la la la o o
You are beautiful
You are beautiful

Ebami kira fun mama mi
Orisha bi iya o
Ko si laiye

Hello Vibes community, I'm Vickoly, and today I'll be singing a cover of the song 'The One Who Never Comes" by Asa. This is a song that commemorates my state at one point in time, and thereby I became fond of it because it resonates with my life then. And today, while thinking of what to present for the Vibes Web 3 music competition week 6, I decided to sing it, and hopefully you'll find it worthwhile.

I'd like to say a shout-out to @lordbutterfly for setting up such a mind-blowing music initiative that has taken over not just the hive by storm but also the Web 3. I'm thrilled by what's going on here, and as a lover of music, I decided to join the host of great vocalists on the hive Blockchain to present this song by Asa, a Nigerian musician based in France.

Below are some of the LYRICS to the song The One Who Never Comes by Asa":

Why you wanna tell me all your secrets
Don't you know I'm a girl who never falls
Why you wanna pour your heart out to me
When you know I hit the road
Every single time it calls

[Chorus:]
Please don't tell me you're falling
Cause I wouldn't know what to do with myself
Please don't tell me you love me
Cause I've been waiting, waiting waiting
For the one who never comes.

I have looked for love in all direction but
You've been here all along so how could it be you
In my dreams this was so very different
But I'm caught off guard and I don't know what to do

[Chorus:]
Please don't tell me you're falling
Cause I wouldn't know what to do with myself
Please don't tell me you love me
Cause I've been waiting, waiting waiting
For the one who never comes.

[Bridge:]
You are the sunshine through my day
You are the laughter when we say
All the things we shouldn't say
When the others left you stayed
Now that the cards have all been played
Baby, let's not walk away

Good day, friends on the hive blockchain. It's a wonderful day, and today I'll love to show you how I coupled this solar fan I just purchased together. Like I said a few days ago, the heat in this part of the world is becoming unbearable, and this made me seek a way out by purchasing this rechargeable fan, which can keep the temperature of the room more conducive whenever there's no electricity.

And like I said a few days ago in one of my posts about having to ditch the first one I ordered because the price went down a few days after I played the order, the second one I ordered recently arrived, and here is how I coupled the fan various parts together, which I want to show you as my creative aspect for the creative Sunday in the hive learners community.

I'm not much of a specialist in fixing this, so I don't know the names of most of the parts of the fan and didn't make use of any equipment as it was really easy to put together despite being all scattered inside the box, so below are the few steps I followed in making this stand firm.

  • First, I unboxed the fan box and brought out all the body parts, after which I started sorting each one into its own category.

  • After this, I began the joining by first picking up the stand and the ground tray, and it's a plastic screw. I fix both together until it's standing firm.

  • And move that I moved, fixing the blowing wheel and the engine part, and assembling each part together according to the drawing on the carton.

  • Once that was set, I also fixed the net that was supposed to be at the back and front to cover the blowing wheel, and that's how I came to the end of fixing the fan; like I said, it's very easy to couple.

And I'm glad it was because I was worried about what if I couldn't fix it before, but after calling the customer care of Jumia, who assured me that it'd be easy to fix, I see it was really so.

And I've tried to charge it with both electricity and sunlight, and I can categorically tell you that although it wasn't fully charged when I stopped charging for the first time to try it through the night, I was pleased to see it lasted for as long as 8 hours before it shut down, and with this, I can't help but pray it lasts longer if I later get to fully charge it.

That's about it for today. I hope you enjoyed the read. Do have a wonderful day and stay blessed.

Vibes Web3 music competition week 3

Hello everyone, It's my first time participating in the Vibe community web3 music competition, and today in my entrance for week 3, I'll be presenting a gospel worship song titled CASTING CROWNS by Nathaniel Bassey. This is a song I so much love to vibe to whenever I want to adore the name of the Lord for His love and kindness towards me in all of my endeavors, and as I sing, I hope you'll enjoy and vibe along with me in worship to the fullest.

I'll love to give a shout-out to @lordbutterfly , who's the brain behind this amazing music project that has gone on to take music to the next level in the web3 space, and not just that, but also an avenue to promote the hive blockchain to the general public, especially those lovers of good music, and this, in my opinion, can go on to get top musicians to come onboard the hive blockchain, just as they've recently gone in cross-promotion collaboration with the legendary heartfelt music community.

So back to the song, I've been a big fan of the song Casting Crowns by Nathaniel Basset since he released it in 2014, and there's hardly a time I want to vibe to a gospel song and worship God without playing it. It has been a solid member of my playlist through the years, and I hope you'll enjoy my presentation.

You can see the lyrics to the song here.

Hello game lover, today I bring my gameplay of the grant theft auto San Andreas to your screen once again and today, I'll be showing you I how completed the stowaway mission, which is one of the mission of Torino the government agent, who usually sent Carl on an errand with the promise of helping him release his brother Sweet one day from the prison, well mission began at the old airport and here is how it all plays out.

On arriving at the old airport, Carl saw a plane landing alongside some vehicles which seems like a military men, on hiding, Torino came into the pictures and asked carl to get into the plan and destroy it, because those government agent are trying to ship some weapon to someone, who's more like a shedding business.

To cut the long story short, I grab a bike and chase after the plane that's already on the run about to take off and throwing off trash to make me slip, luckily I was able to avoid them and drove the bike into the plane before it took off, on getting in, I wave faced by some military men inside the plane and we all fight it out, till I killed everyone single one of them.

On the killing the last of them, I took his parachute from him, them I set some explosive into the plane before running out and jumping off mind air, I let out the parachute and that was how the mission came to an end, in my opinion it's a very easy mission unlike the rest. But it's not easy to get onboard the plane while chasing with bike, in fact I repeated that part 5 times before finally getting onboard the plane.

That's about all on my gameplay experience of the stowaway mission of the grant theft auto San Andreas video game and this is my mobile gameplay experience.

Greetings, fellow gamers on the Hive Blockchain! Today I present to you another of my gameplay experiences via video coverage that shows how I played through to complete the meat business mission on the Grant Theft Auto San Andreas video game. Like I said before, this is one of my favorite games, and I enjoyed it so much because I got to catch a glimpse of the action-packed missions.

This time around, the meat business mission was prompted by Ken Rosenberg. Carl, the main character of the game, paid a visit to Rosenberg Casino and met him and his guys, rejoicing over the last successful mission. When Carl stepped in, Roseburg wanted to do something before he could finally be free, so he and Carl stepped out.

I got a call and drove to Rosenberg to meet Johnny Sindacco at his abbatior. It was supposed to be a simple discussion between Ken Rosenblum and Jonny Sindacco, but upon setting eyes on Carl, Jonny remembered their previous encounter together, and this gave him a heart attack that led to his death.

This angered the Sindacco family, who wanted to retaliate and set up different ambushes within the abbatior to make sure they killed Carl and Ken Rosenberg, but then I was up to the task. There were three fireballs to keep us from going out, and they sent some of their men to charge towards us, but I killed each one of them.

Rosenberg grabbed a fire extinguisher and put down the fire while I kept shooting to kill all of the Sindacco family men charging towards us and shooting. Mostly, my mission was to kill every one of them and protect Ken Rosenberg from getting killed by them.

After putting out the fire and allowing us to step into the next room, I proceeded to kill any enemies in sight while Ken Rosenberg suggested that he'd hide in the freezer. In this part, my job is to kill any enemies and make sure none of them go near the freezer, because if they successfully enter, they'll shut the door, and that means Ken Rosenberg is in danger, and his life will keep reducing until I'm able to open the freezer door and kill whoever is there with Ken Rosenberg.

Well, luckily, we didn't have to see all of those actions, as I was swift enough to kill every Sindacco family man that tried to walk towards the freezer after killing everyone. In sight, Ken Rosenberg steps out of the freezer, and we were able to proceed into the next room, killing all visible enemies. I also had to make do with my mini map to monitor the location of the enemies.

While I felt the mission should have been much easier had Ken Rosenberg also held a gun, I had no choice but to face all the enemies all by myself as I controlled the main character, Carl Johnson. Luckily, I was able to kill everyone one of them and then lead Ken Rosenberg out of the abbatior. We got inside a car and drove away back to the casino before the police showed up and traced any of the incidents that happened there to us.

I drove safely to the casino, dropped off Ken Rosenberg, and advised him to be more calm going forward, because he was obviously tense from the beginning of the mission till we arrived at the abbatior; thereafter, he walked away. That brings us to the end of the meat business mission, and I brace myself for other missions that lie ahead.

That's about it for now. I hope you enjoyed the read. Do have a wonderful day and stay blessed.

Hello Hive.

Today I'll love to share a video of my game-play experience with the Grant Theft Auto San Andreas video game. I actually tried to upload the video a few days ago, but it was acting up, so I decided to give it a try once again, and now I'm glad it finally went through. This particular mission is called Up Up Away, and it was initiated by an in-game character called Woozie.

Here I stole a chopper that can be used to carry heavy equipment from a military base, although it wasn't an easy mission because the soldiers had an AK-47, which is a powerful weapon that draws life very fast, but I was lucky enough to overcome them and in the end complete the missing. The video above gives you an idea of how it went, and I hope you enjoyed it.

This game is one of my favorite video games of all time, and I've played it on different platforms, from television to PC to mobile. I'm always looking forward to playing it and getting involved with the loaded missions it's occupied with, as they're nothing short of interesting.

The Grant Theft Auto San Andreas video game on its own is very addictive, especially for someone who's a lover of shooter games with loads of missions and adventure. This video was screen recorded while I was playing on my smartphone, and it kind of reminds me of those when I play mobile action games of their nature on my Java phones.

Such games I can remember are Splinter Cell, Mission Impossible, Die Hard, Brothers in Arms, God of War, Prince of Paradise, and many more, to mention but a few. These games are some of the best that made up my childhood story, and when I learned about Grant theft auto, I was thrilled by how ambiguous and action-packed it was.

Thanks so much for your time, I hope you love the video gameplay experience, Do have a wonderful day and stay blessed.

Recently, I just purchased the Oraimo stereo bass airbuds 2, and since then, my experience with them has been nothing short of mind-blowing and impressive. Its portability and sleek packaging are the major things that catch my eye, and since acquiring it, I can tell you for a fact that all its features meet and live up to expectations. That's why I've decided to share my unboxing and review experience with you.

VALUE

To start with, the airbuds cost a whopping 17,500 Naira at the Oraimo store where I got them, and that can be reduced to about $15 using the present conversion rate. When looking at the price, I think it's a little bit expensive, but then the features and durability of the airbuds close the gap, so without further ado, let's go into the unboxing proper to know what's in the box.

UNBOXING

On opening the case, the first sight I saw was the case of the airbuds, and on the other side was the pack when the USBC charging cable for easy charging was connected. Along with that, I was able to see the two airbuds in their beauty. There was also a manual that explained the functions and how to navigate the airbuds, like changing songs and increasing and reducing volume, among others.

FEATURES OF THE AIRBUDS: IPX5 Sweat Resistance: This feature is one I so much love and appreciate about the airbuds because it makes them durable, efficient, and reliable even in harsh weather conditions, not forgetting the fact that it makes them the go-to airbuds for workouts, exercise, rainy days, and other related activities. * One-Step Pairing: This feature is pretty cool, although most other airpods have it, but I'm still cool with it because, immediately you remove it from the casing and switch on your device's Bluetooth, it'll instantly connect to such a device without taking time. * Bluetooth 5 Connection: with the Bluetooth 5 connection, I experience absolutely no lagging on the airbuds despite me moving away several distances from the connection device, and yet everything still works fine. That means this promises to provide quick pairing and seamless connection on the go. * Touch Sensor Controls: This touch sensor makes the airbuds indeed the best hands-free device to get because, with a touch here, you can easily manage your volume, switch music, and even manage your calls. And unlike most airbuds, this isn't a button, but a sensor that feels your touch to do as you command. * Powerful Bass:* Being a music enthusiast, these airbuds just seem to take my music listening experience to the next level. I was so thrilled with the bass because it literally gives me butterfly feelings and lets me hear all of the sounds and beats of the song being played. In a nutshell, the audio output quality is nothing short of excellence with good balance.

  • Long Battery Life: The beauty of most devices is the ability to use them consistently for a long time, and this airbud promises 6 to 12 hours of working duration. I remember charging it fully and trying to see how efficient that was. I played it over the night, and after about 10 hours of work life, it was strong enough to go for more, so with the 400 MAH casing that charges it further, I believe it's absolutely reliable.

So in a nutshell, I believe this Oraimo stereo bass airbuds 2 brings together a total package of functionality, performance, and style in a very compact design. It's just exciting, from the strong battery life to the easy setup and navigation, not forgetting the audio quality and other mind-blowing features, and I believe it's the perfect wireless airbud for another longing for reliability and efficiency in their airbuds.

That's about it for now. I hope you enjoyed the read. Do stay blessed and have a wonderful day.

Hello Creative Hivean in the Hive Learners community, it's another edition of Creative Sunday, and today I bring you the part two and final episode of the short playlet Titled Ethics Amist adversity. This is a playlet that captures the typical lifestyle of young men in the present generation, and today I conclude the story line from where I stopped in the part one last week, so sit back and enjoy.

The playlet started with Daniel lamenting after coming back from the house of the man he helped see his lost bag of money; unfortunately, unlike he expected, the man didn't give him anything reasonable other than a 200 naira cash given to him to use as a transport fare back home. Daniel had envisioned himself being helped and established by the man for his kind gesture, but with this, he has no choice but to keep striving to change his story.

While still lamenting, his landlord came to his doorstep to knock and request his rent, and out of fear, he couldn't even respond, and the landlord ranted about being aware he's inside and threatened to throw out his properties by the end of the week. It seems things are continually getting bad for Daniel.

When on Sunday he paid a visit to his place of worship and dance like never before, he was approached by a wealthy church member who needed someone to help him manage his business while he's away in the USA. He said he knows how handworking Daniel is due to the pastor's recommendation and his own personal observation.

He promised to pay Daniel 250 thousand naira for a start and would increase it as time went on. That was how fortune smiled upon Daniel, and he transited from zero to hero within a twinkling of an eye because he went on to work with church members for years before starting his own organization and prospering in it.

It indeed pays to be good, and regardless of the challenges and tribulations we might face, we shouldn't let our situation determine our reaction and personality, and in the end, fortune will smile on us like it did to Daniel. Thanks so much for your time, and have a wonderful day ahead.

It was an exciting experience at my friend's child's naming ceremony that was held yesterday in their church auditorium. It was their first child, and friends and family came from all around the state to rejoice with them as they welcomed their first child into the world. It was a baby girl, and in this post, I talked about my experience at the naming ceremony.

I had to leave work earlier than usual to make it to the ceremony, which began at 2 p.m., although I usually close around one. I don't think the clothes I'm putting on befit the occasion, and aside from that, I'm also helping the parents with some preparation and arrangements for the auditorium premises, which I did before the program kicked off.

And it all began with an opening prayer, praise and worship songs that we danced to, and a testimony from the wife, who testified about what she went through during the delivery of their daughter. Apparently, she gave birth around 9 p.m. on Saturday but had to be rushed back into the theater due to some complications and severe blood loss. Well, I'm glad she's ok, fine, and in perfect condition now.

I've been friends with both the father and the mother since about 13 years ago, when I was in university, because we happened to attend the same institution and also studied the same course, so you can see we've been together for a long time. Basically, after the testimony, there was a short sermon by the pastor, and after that, the child was named.

It was a funny moment when the father of the child was asked to read out all the names of their daughter, and he ended up listing 18 names. I was like, 18 for your first daughter's. What would you name the others when they started coming around? Well, it's pretty normal in this part of the world to give a first child many names, and many of them were due to the joy they felt.

After the naming, it was time to dance and give an offering, and that was the period the above video captured. Both were great dancers, along with our other friends who came to celebrate with the couples and dance as though there's no tomorrow.

After the entire program, food and drinks were given to everyone in a takeaway bag, which consisted of rice and beef. It had been a while since I tasted beef, so eating that was a heartwarming experience, and I had a lot of fun. Also, via the naming ceremony, some of my friends who I'd seen for a while came around, and we all got to get together and have fun till late at night before I returned home.

It been awhile I stepped out for any fun activities, because I'm an introvert, but this ceremony gave me the fun and feeling or a social life I've been missing for a while.

That's about all on my experience at my friend's child's name ceremony, I hope you enjoyed the read, do have a wonderful night rest.

Good day, everyone, and welcome to the very first edition of Creative Sunday for the year 2024. Like I said in one of my posts a few days ago, today I've decided to take a dive into one of my resolutions for the year, and that's acting out a short playlet. In light of that, today I present to you a short playlet titled Ethics Amidst Adversity. I hope you'll enjoy it and, hopefully, find it interesting.

So the playlet is about a young man, Daniel by name, who has graduated from the university for over 3 years and yet has nothing to show for it. He was a very intelligent student who came out with a first-class grade, but unfortunately, despite going for multiple interviews, no one was willing to offer him a job.

According to his experience, he believes it's only ladies who those interviewers can benefit from; someone who's willing to bribe his or her way to get the job or those who have connections are the ones they gave jobs to, and despite his outstanding performance in all interviews, he's never given the job, and people with lesser qualifications get the job.

Unknown to him, aside from all of those reasons, some of the interviewers also don't employ him because of how overqualified and intelligent he's, and that could cause them to lose their jobs or the position if their superior were to learn about him and his impact.

Well, on one of those days, he just returned from another job hunting tour without a positive answer, and he decided to eat what he had left at home. While eating, his mother called to inform him of how broke they're, requesting that he send some money for them to stock the house with food and also pay for his kid brother's school fee, who was chased from sitting for exam for not paying.

While walking around the street, he saw a bag filled with money, and the first thought that came to his mind was that the money was a manna from heaven to help him settle the issues on the ground, but on a second thought, he knew that wasn't right, and while I looked through the bag, he saw a business card and decided to take the bag home and then call the number on the business card.

While home, he did just do that, and the person was excited and even invited him over to his house, but that's when the light fades away from the stage. What would happen next?

Would Daniel return the bag?
Would his kind gesture turn around the tides for him, or would something more disturbing befall him?

Watch out for Part 2!

But I'd you're were Daniel, what would you do in such a situation? Putting your current situation into consideration!!!

Thanks so much for your time. Have a wonderful day ahead, and stay blessed.

Ever since my phone's screen got damaged back in May this year, I've had the mindset to get a new smartphone that'll serve as a backup should such a situation happen again. I had it in mind to get a better one with more efficient specifications than the damaged one, even though I'll still repair it, and so I'm happy to tell you that I've finally gotten it, and today I'll love to tell you all about my net device as I share the unboxing process with you.

The old one got damaged at a time when I wanted to sit for a very important examination that'll play a key role in my getting promoted at work, and most of the stuff I ought to read to prepare for the exam was saved inside the Redmi Note 9 phone whose screen got damaged. I was depressed because this not only affects my preparation for the exam but also my hive goals to power up and publish a post every day of this year. Well, I'm glad the story has changed as I now have a backup, and without further ado, let's dive into the unboxing process of my new Redmi 12 smartphone.

Firstly, let me tell you how much I brought this smartphone and phone model:
Purchase: 148 thousand naira; that's about $148.
Model: Redmi 12 (8GB RAM, 256GB RAM, Sky Blue variant)

What's Inside the box:So to the unboxing proper, the following are what are inside the box:
The phone, phone casing, SIM injector pin, 33W fast charging adaptor and cable, and several manuals.

Specifications:* Storage: 8 GB of RAM that's expandable to 16 GB, and 256 GB of RAM that's expandable to 1 TB. * Battery capacity: it has a 5000mAh battery life. * Processor: MediaTek Helio G88. * Display: 6.79" FHD+ DotDisplay. * Rear Camera: 50MP+8MP+2MP triple camera. * Front camera: 8 MP camera. * Security: side fingerprint sensor, AI unlock, and the like. * Splash, water, and dust resistance. * Operating System: MIUI 14 based on Android 13
And many more...

My favorite features: Multitasking Screen features:* I really love this phone because it's literally better than my old Redmi Note 9 Pro, which has just 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of RAM, and one of the main things I love about it is how I can multitask on different applications at the same time on my phone on one screen without the need to close one app to operate another. This is just mind-blowing and helps you keep tabs on everything going on in up to three apps at the same time.

  • Fast charging: I love the fast charging adaptor and cable of 33W that literally got my phone to be fully charged in less than an hour, even if it started at 0%. That's mind-blowing and a great feature.
  • Storage capacity: I love the 8 GB of RAM, and since it's expandable, I already expanded it to 16 GB of RAM because this isn't a situation where the phone would be lagging while I'm operating it.
The storage capacity of 256 GB is another feature I love about it, which is basically X2 of my former phone's storage size. This gives me room to save loads of files without fear of them getting full anytime soon.
  • The water, dust, and slash resistance features are extraordinary, and I love them. This means the back casing may most likely not have any strack because of this resistance, and neither would water be able to penetrate or stay on it. The same thing goes for now; it reacts to dust as well.

Overall, I'm pleased with this device, and I'm already loving every bit of it. Thanks so much for your time spent watching and reading through it. I hope you love the phone and also love the specifications.

Do have a wonderful night's rest and stay blessed.

Modelo: Redmi 12 (8GB RAM, 256GB RAM, variante Sky Blue)

* Procesador: MediaTek Helio G88. * Pantalla: 6.79" FHD+ DotDisplay. * Cámara trasera: 50MP+8MP+2MP triple cámara. * Cámara frontal: Cámara de 8 MP. * Seguridad: sensor de huellas dactilares lateral, desbloqueo AI y similares. * Resistencia a salpicaduras, agua y polvo.

Our interhouse competition continued again a few days ago, and this time around we indulged in more sporting activities that were held between the various five houses. Some of the sports we had on day 3 of the competition were the matching parade, football, and long jump. These are exciting and fun activities to watch, as well as inspiring the young athletes to their greatest.

The day started with the matching parade from all the houses we had, which are yellow, white, blue, green and pink houses. Each house has practiced through the week for this day, and although I did practice with the white house, I had to make do with the blue house, which I was later given as my new house to be the house master. We also did some practice and hope to show our skills on the big stage.

Every single house did an amazing job, but the yellow house came out victorious for their matching skills and colorful and matching attire; the white house came in second for their skills and displays, in which they also used a horse during their matching parade; the green house came in third, and we had to settle for fourth without a medal; and pink came in fifth.

Moving to the long jump, our boys in the green house won a silver medal, while our girls won a gold medal. Yellow won gold in the boys long jump, while white house girls came in second and third in the long jump. Overall, it was an exciting experience, and after that, we moved on to the football matches, which continued from the previous days.

In the football 3rd place match between Blue House and Green House, for the boys game, Green House came out victorious, while for the girls game between White House and Green House, Green House came out victorious again. For the boys final match, yellow house won again, picking house to win the gold medal, while for the girls final match, pink house beat blue house to win their first gold medal.

That's about all the activities. I hope you enjoyed watching and reading. Thanks so much for your time. It's left with us finding out the final score of the medal and knowing who came in first, second, and third.

Thanks so much for your time. Have a wonderful day.

Greetings everyone! Welcome to another segment of the Hive Learners Creative Sunday. It's always exciting to be here because I get to learn new things, acquire new skills, or know how some things are done, and so is listening to loving voices. So today I'll love to take you through how to make a thumbnail design from scratch on Canva and, generally, how to use Canva as a tool for designing your thumbnails and the like. This was inspired by the loads of questions I get from people who want to learn how to do it or want me to help them design thumbnails for their content.

So with that in mind, I came to the conclusion that rather than explaining all over again for everyone that asked, it's best I just make a video tutorial that explains the process, and with that, I can easily refer any new person who wants to learn to it, so they can look through and grab the step-by-step process of making the thumbnails.

Like I said in the video, Canva is filled with loads of ready-made templates that you can easily choose one that aligns with your choice, edit, and come up with your article thumbnail. If you don't want to do that, you can also create a thumbnail design of your own from scratch using all the available tools that are free to use on the Canva app.

Although one thing you should know as someone trying to use Canva is that not all of the templates or tools are free to use, if you're someone who just signed in and didn't subscribe to their Premium, then you won't be able to use those tools freely. It's not like you won't be able to use them entirely, but they'll have a watermark that makes the design seem like something you don't have the right to use.

So, in a nutshell, if you don't want to subscribe, then use any design or tool that doesn't have the pro or paid sign written beneath it, and if you want to have access to everything, you can subscribe and use it to have access to everything.

The premium subscription is even easier, and you can have five people team up to pay for one subscription and use it throughout the month, so if you like to subscribe to the premium, just look for people you can come together to share the bills with and gather the funds to subscribe, or you can reach out to me for that, and if I know any team that's open, I'll recommend you to them.

That's all about how to use Canva to design your thumbnail, either from scratch or by editing a template. Another beauty of Canva is how you can use it to get free-to-use images. Just like we can get free-to-use images or pexels from Pixabay and the like, Canva also gives us access to such images that we can use and reference in our content.

Thanks so much for your time. Have a wonderful day ahead, and stay blessed.

Owing a piece of land of your own where you can build your dream house is something almost everyone dreams of and wishes for, although securing one in a good environment isn't an easy task because owning a piece of land is very expensive. Regardless of these factors, it's still important in order to escape the worries of landlords and co-tenant issues.

Being someone who has once stayed in Epe and now moved back there, it's a good thing to know the place is now developing, and one of the key factors in its development is the new Dangote refinery that's proxy to the place; the new Lekki sea port is also much closer to it, and these factors led many to move to this part of the state because they felt it was going to be one of the next big things in the state.

I wanted to secure a piece of land but was not financially capable at the moment, but a friend of mine who lives in another state wishes to purchase a piece of land here in Epe, so I volunteered to help him check out some places, and here is one of my experiences in one of the land parcels opened for sale.

This particular estate, known as Ile Ayo, is said to have cost 1 million and five hundred thousand naira, which seems like a fair price for a Landed property in this area, but what seems to raise eyebrows are the state fee, the development fee, the mental fee, and other fees, up to about 9 hundred and fifty thousand naira.

That seems to put my friend off because it exceeded his budget; even I felt it was too much, but we can't disregard the fact that it's an estate and would definitely be different from normal single land, which might not attract all those extra costs.

Well, while at the site, the agents wanted to do a short ad and decided to use my smartphone, which brought about this video of him interviewing me while at the site.

That's about all for now, have a blessed day ahead.

Good day to everyone! Today, in response to the Hive Ghana community writing prompts, I'll be sharing my knowledge of some of my favorite features on the Hive blockchain. I will also be talking about a simple markdown guide that is used in making my contents look cool, and in the end, I hope this will come in handy to help you in one way or another in preparing your content subsequently.

A FEATURES I LIKE ALOT To start with, I'll be talking about the share draft features on Peakd. This is a feature I believe makes a difference in a lot of ways. especially in a situation where you are writing content and you need someone far away from you to help you proofread it or add markdown to it. It's so unique in a way that you can easily share your draft with someone, and when they go to their own draft, they can easily see what you've written, and depending on whichever position you give them, they can read through, edit, or even publish it, depending on the role you give them while sharing.

It is worthy of note that before you can share your draft with someone, Then both of you must be following one another on Hive. In other words, when you're not following each other, that means you can't share your draft with them, so for you to be able to share your draft with someone, you both need to be following each other on the hive blockchain.

Thumbnail designed by me on canva. Some of the features of the share draft on peakd are;

  • Reader Role: This role, when given to a user, Grant the user the ability to read through the content you have written on your own blog. That means if you share your content with someone and give them the role of a reader, when they go to their own draft page, they will find the content you have written and can easily read through it.

  • Editor Role: The editor role is one I find very exciting. It grants me the ability to share my content with a friend on the Hive blockchain and grants them the ability to help me edit it. This is a technique I taught most of the newbies I invited to Hive Blockchain. When they are new and live far away from me, I tend to share the steps in sharing their draft with me, so when they write the introduction post, I can easily go through my own draft where they've shared it and help them edit it. This is also a feature that we can use, for example, when two or three people are working on a singular project. In order to make this work, they can easily share drafts between themselves to make it perfect.

  • This also has special features that mean you can grant someone with whom you are sharing your draft the ability to publish the post on their side. All you need to do after sharing the draft is switch on the button above the same page, which is shown on and off by clicking on it. That means the person will have the ability to not just edit but also publish it on their own blog.

A screenshot from my draft on peakd.

  • Another thing I shared in this video is the way I set up some markdown to make my articles look nice. For example, when you are writing normally on Hive, it tends to justify your text to the left, and this is something that doesn't make content that top-notch. So I usually add some markdown code to help me justify my content in the center, and this kind of makes it look okay the way I set it up; it doesn't just justify the text but also each and every picture I added during the course of my writing.

To do this, all you need to do is;

  • Put this in this <div class=text-justify> first line before writing anything.
  • Then add this </div> in the last line when you're done with your write-up, it'll automatically justify all your write-up.

Thanks so much for your time. I hope you are enjoying the video. This is an entry for The Hive Ghana community prompt.you can read through this blog to get more information about it.

Have a blessed and productive day ahead.

Good day everyone! Today I'll love to take you through some basic guides on how to navigate your way around the minetest or mineclone game with your smartphone as a new and prospective player. For the past few weeks, I've been asked by different people to guide them on how to play the game, so I've come up with a video that can easily serve as a guide that comes in handy whenever anyone wants to get onboard the game with their mobile phones.

For a start, you'll first need to download the latest version 5.7.0 of the minetest app on their website, after which you can watch this video tutorial by Rosecane to get a detailed explanation of how to join the city of Neoxian minetest server. Once that's done and you've found your way into the city of Neoxian minetest world, then this video will come in handy to help you play the game if you're using a smartphone.

So without further ado, this video cuts across a few basics you should know as a new user when you're playing with your smartphone, such as the following:

  • First, I talked about moving or walking around the world. It's highly essential to walk down to a safe place immediately you get online, and one of the ways to do that is to walk towards the names of those who are online on the server by the time you login.

  • Secondly, I talked about some dangerous objects and flowers to avoid in order for players lives to not be reduced unknowingly; this also includes the need to avoid pits and how to swim or travel through the river without drowning.

  • Thirdly, I talked about the importance of getting into a safe place once it's night. Night is usually a dangerous time to walk around, so if you're fortunate to get to the village before nightfall, then it's better you go inside a house and shut the door behind you to avoid monsters following in. But if you didn't get to the village, I'll advise you to log off the server and come back when it's daytime, so you won't get killed by monsters. Another thing to do is build a shelter around yourself until it's daytime, when you can continue your journey.

  • Lastly, I shared a guide on how to get tools, like breaking trees. I also talked about how to build your house and how to craft different items for a better gaming experience within the world.

That's about all for today, if there is a need for further guides then I can work towards it subsequently, but for now, I hope the likes of @merit.ahama @nkemakonam89 @moremoney28 @sholex94 and many others will find this helpful in their course towards easy game play experience.

Thanks so much for your time, have a blessed day.

It's been a while since we last had much activity in the city of Neoxian minetest server, but yesterday Mr. D brought inspired activities again to the server by setting up a minetest combat giveaway where two people would have to fight it out for his 100% upvote, and the two lucky picks by the bounty bot this time around are undisputed combat champion @pravesh0 and undergo @b0s.

Pravesh has been undefeated since the combat initiative kick off; he seems to know his ways with combat and usually crushes his opponent like a grape. Facing an underdog bos, who's also great but mostly only thrives when combating with minetesters like I, Olujay, and so others, they both step into the arena, but as always, Pravesh is the one who has the highest possibility of winning.

The rule of the game is simply that you can't use any weapons and armor of your own; instead, those would be provided by Mr. D, and the weapons provided are made of steel. Also, it's meant to be a two-round combat, but in cases of ties after the two rounds, one last round would be fought, and the winner of that would become the eventual champion and winner of the doot.

When the first round began, both fighters used their steel swords, and Pravesh had a good run with Bo's until he crushed him in a few seconds, making him the winner of the first round.

For the second round, Bo's came in and put on his armor again, after which the round began; this time around, Pravesh chose to fight with an arrow, which Bo's stuck to his sword.

Bo's was excellent in not getting hit by Pravesh's arrows, and that made Pravesh change his weapon back to his sword, and after both had the opportunity to hit each other, Pravesh still came out victorious, making the fight end 2-0 in favor of Pravesh, and that's how he won Mr. Dragon's 100% upvote.

It's always an enjoyable and delightful experience on Minetest, and this fight didn't disappoint. If you wish to come onboard on Minetest, then you can go through this post by @rosecane to guide you on how to join the city of Neoxian on the Minetest server.

Thanks for your time, have a blessed day ahead.

The Minetest game, which is quite similar to the popular Minecraft game, is a realistic creative game and world of possibilities, where anything you can think of can be brought to life with a few tasks and the right mod, and just yesterday, I and Xabi were peered together to fight it out for Mr. Dragon doot which sadly ended in defeat for me.

Screenshot from Discord.I've always enjoyed spending time on minetest, and down the month since I joined the server in the city of Neoxian on minetest, it has been a delight through and through. Aside from the fact that we get the possibility of winning amazing prizes for performing some task, it's also a place that can literally bring out the creative mineset in you.

I've built myself two houses from scratch on the server, as do many other players. But not to bore you with my speech, if you wish to come and board and explore Minetest, then join us in the city of Neoxian on Discord and visit the Minetest channel to get the necessary details.

So back to the battle royale, or should I say royal rumble, that happened on the city of Neoxian minetest server yesterday. Between I and Xabi, Mr. D initiated a giveaway and stated that the people who got picked would get to fight it out at the minetest battle arena for his 100% vote, and Xabi and I were fortunate to be picked by the bot.

THE FIGHTOn getting to the serve to begin the fight, we're told each fight's rules of engagement in terms of what we can use and can't use before each round begins, and they are stated in I by Mr. D.

  • ROUND 1: For round one, we can use any weapons of our choice, but we are not allowed to put on protective armor, so that literally means the person with a better weapon has the likeliness to win. It was barely a few seconds into the fight that I got hit by Xabi's sword, and it literally sent me outside the arena, and I died instantly. It was a very funny scenario, but that was all thanks to his powerful sword, which was made of nether compared to mine, which was made of diamond.

After dying, I disappeared into my house and quickly rushed back to the fighting arena, but I guess we both got too excited and began another fight without Mr D giving us a go ahead to do that. As expected, I was killed swiftly again, but then Mr D called us to caution and let us know he hasn't given us the go ahead so we have to restart the second round.

  • ROUND 2: The rule of round two was that we are both free to put on protective armor, so we both rushed down to our various houses to get it because we dropped it off due to the round one rule. Not long after that, we came back and the fight began. This fight seems a bit longer because the armor reduces the effect of the sword, although Xabi still has an edge with a powerful sword, and I lasted longer than the first fight. In the end, he killed my character again, which gave him the win and the opportunity to get Mr. Neoxian's vote in his next post.

I enjoyed the fight, but now I guess I'll have to brace up and learn fighting strategy. I'll also need to get a better weapon, but until then I enjoyed myself, and I'm sure everyone who witnessed the fight had a great time while it lasted.

Thanks so much for checking through my post; the video was captured by @b0s, and he gave me permission to publish it here on hive.

HELLO HIVE Welcome to my blog this cool and wonder day, today I'll be sharing my gameplay video, and this happens to be the first time I'm sharing a video of such on the hive blockchain, it's a video on modern combat 4 game, it's a shooters game and it's very addictive and realistic, I hope you'll have a great time while watching.

HOLA HIVE

Like I said earlier the game is so addictive, that mean once you pick up your device to play it, you might end up spending money hours than you had in mind initially before starting the game, so when talking about this game, it's a mobile game to start with and it runs on Android device, there might be a pc version, but I only have a smartphone, and that's why I'm using my phone for this video.

I started the game play with level one, although I've completed all the levels, but for the fact that I'm sharing it for the first time on hive, I decided to start afresh from the beginning, and the game began with our ships and chopper approaching the energy territory, although many of it was gun down by the enemy, but we manage to get to the sea shore safely and confrontation with the enemies began immediately.

But via my experience alongside my team squad, we were able to kill as many enemy as post to stool on our path, the insurgents began with a rouge soldier call page, so he and his leagues of armies were terrorising the country and neighbouring countries too.

I had a great time while playing this game and I can't help but look forward to seeing the shooters blockchain game being launch, which @psyber-x , by then I know I'll have to face Psyber over other games, because I don't play others blockchain game now because I get bore while playing them, but I know such would happen with a play to earn shooters game.

By the launch I know I'll drop all this and focus on an opportunity to earn while doing something I love, that's getting paid for something you derive pleasure in, nothing is more sweet than that.

The game title Is MODERN COMBAT 4: ZERO HOUR, you can check it out and drop your feedback in the comments section, I look forward to each and everyone of them.

Thanks so much for staying with me thus far, I hope you had a great time watching my gameplay video and going through my post, till we meet next time, have a blessed and productive week ahead.

HELLO HIVE Greetings to everyone, I hope we've all had a wonderful week, today breaking out of my shell to make an entry for hive open mic week #120, it's the first time I'm sitting behind the camera to make a music video so I'm a little tensed, but this week theme titled Mi Felicidad (my happiness) is enough to keep me going, as I reminisce the countless things that make me happy.

While reminiscing on my source of happiness and the various scenarios via which I've become happy in the past, I came to a conclusion that it's all been down to God, His consistent blessings as been my source of joy, and to express my gratitude to Him, I'll be singing a song by minister Don Moen titled Arise, I chose these song because each time I sing it, he always came through for me in all difficulties I find myself, by making me come out victorious and filling my heart with joy unspeakable.

Its my prayer that we'll all have reasoning to be happy at all time, stay bless as you listen.

LYRICS *One thing we ask of You

One thing that we desire

That as we worship You

Lord come and change our lives Arise, arise, arise, arise

Arise, take Your place

Be enthroned on our praise, arise

King of kings, Holy God, as we sing arise

Arise, arise, arise We lift You up, we lift You up

We lift You up on our praises, yeah

We lift You up, we lift You up

We lift You up on our praises We lift You up, we lift You up

We lift You up on our praises, yeah

We lift You up, we lift You up

We lift You up on our praises

We lift*

Hello Hive I love to share with you some of the process of how we made a budget friendly cake 🍰 for my brother birthday despite being short of most ingredients.

I would have baked the cake had all the ingredients available, but since it's not I assisted my sister in baking and also capturing some of the process in both video and photos.

Ingredients * Flours * Eggs * Nutmeg * sugar * Butter * Baking powder

Unavailable ingredients

  • Preservatives
  • Milk
  • Salt

Process Some of the process are captured in the video and here are some pictorial process as well.

Flours

Eggs

*2tin of sugar mixed with two sachet of butter.

Add your egg to the mixture

Add your Flour to the mixture

Mix together thoroughly with your mixer, but here we use a pester

After that grease your baking pan and pour your mixture into it and place into the oven for about 30+50minute.

Grease your Cake with the icing sugar mixture.

And here is the final outcome, I hope you don't think of the HBD as HIVE BACKED DOLLAR 🤣like I do, it's mean HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAY.

*With the absent of any form of preservative, that mean we have to finish the cake that very day.

Below are some pictures of the celebrant, mom and I during the birthday celebration, he can't stand on his feet due to some health issues, so we make do with sitting beside him on the chair to snap.

Thanks for checking out my post, have a blessed day ahead.

Greetings from: @vickoly
