Dr. Kent Fuchs was the head of the School of Engineering at Purdue University, then he became the dean and later provost at Cornell University. He then served for eight years as the president at the University of Florida and he is still at UF as a professor in electrical engineering. Dr. Imre Bartos received his PhD from Columbia University, where he subsequently remained as a lecturer and then research scientist, before joining the faculty at the University of Florida. His broad field of interest is multi-messenger astrophysics. He primarily studies extreme cosmic processes related to the formation and evolution of black holes. Dr. Bartos is a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration and the LISA Consortium and is an associate member of the IceCube Collaboration. I apologize for Dr. Bartos' camera being low resolution. Humberto Ramos was a controls and mechatronic design professor at the Universidad Politécnica del Sur de Zacatecas. In 2020 he obtained his Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University. In 2020 he joined UF first as a postdoctoral researcher and then as a research scientist and manager of the Autonomous Vehicles Laboratory at the UF REEF facility. Here he continues collaborations with the Air Force Research Laboratory on GPS-denied navigation systems for Guidance, Navigation, and Control applications, extending the Kalman filter's practical applicability.

Dr. Lisa Merlo is an associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine (UFCOM). A licensed clinical psychologist who has completed postdoctoral fellowships in clinical child/pediatric psychology and substance use disorder epidemiology and prevention. She currently serves as the Director of Wellness Programs for the UF College of Medicine and Dr. Merlo also serves as the Director of Research for the Professionals Resource Network, Inc.

Cheryl Thacker has been the Dive Safety Officer for University of Florida since 2000. She has been involved in diving since 1984 as an instructor, NOAA working diver, NAUI Course Director, Diving First Aid Instructor Trainer, and scientific and cave diver. She served on the American Academy of Underwater Sciences Board of Directors and was elected to the NAUI Board. Cheryl also was recently inducted into the Women Divers Hall of Fame (WDHOF).

Vincent Bindschaedler is an assistant professor in the Computer and Information Sciences and Engineering (CISE) at the University of Florida. He earned his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2018. He holds a BSc and a MSc in Computer Science from EPFL. Amy Williams - Life on Mars, Astrobiology and Geology with NASA | 1001: Intro to Everything podcast #4
Amy is an Assistant Professor of Geology at the University of Florida. Her research interests include the formation and preservation of physical and molecular biosignatures in terrestrial environments as an analog for putative biosignature formation on Mars. She have been a member of the NASA Curiosity rover and NASA Perseverance rover science team rover.
Her research focuses on the interaction between microbial life, the geochemical environment, and the rock record on Earth, and how to recognize habitable environments and potentially preserved microbial life on Mars and the outer world moons.

Before joining UF in 2018, Bridis was editor of the Associated Press’ Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington investigative team and was AP’s leading newsroom expert on security practices for source-protection and on the U.S. Freedom of Information Act and related laws.
Among his other journalistic achievements:
- He was the first journalist to discover and trace Hillary Clinton’s private email server to her home’s basement in Chappaqua, New York.
- His investigative team was first to reveal in August 2016 Paul Manafort’s and Rick Gates’ covert foreign lobbying activities.
