September 2022 marks the 43rd year of the Balloon A-Fair Festival in Ravenna, Ohio. This festival was conceived by some enterprising individuals who believed Ravenna should celebrate one of the city's earliest industries, toy balloons manufactured at the Oak Rubber Company. These industrious citizens organized that first celebration and what began as a few small events has swelled into an exciting annual event with something for all age groups.

Gail and Husband Frank have lived and worked in Portage County for 30 years. They have been blessed to raise their two children Katie and Steve. Katie and Steve both graduated from Waterloo High School. All four of them are graduates of Kent State University. Gail is not your typical politician.

“As a Christian-based counselor, I work with many families facing paying their bills, providing for their children and realizing the American dream.” Gail has started and built several businesses and counseling practice. Her husband Frank has also built his architectural practice here in Portage County. "I want the people in Portage County to live the American Dream, and I want to help them accomplish this by keeping taxes low and incentives for businesses to locate in our District."
