For over 2 weeks, the vendors that remove waste at IG of Police residents region of Maitama had not removed waste so the area was smelling real bad.I caught up with them today 30 January 2023 by 10:00am to express my own shock at this development. The team lead of the waste removers told me that the delay in waste removal is that there is a lot of waste removal trucks at Hulumi Goza dump site Abuja(after Idu Railway Station) waiting for their turn to offload Abujas waste.I asked him why they dont want to try Abujas 2nd waste dump site at Karishi and he told me that the Navy Officers there dont allow them to dispose waste at this 2nd waste dump site approved by AEPB(Abuja Environmental Protection Board) and Satellite Town Development Agency(STDA). The Bow has existed for a while but as the producer, I’ve relied on some women as colleagues and friends whose integrity, intellectual rigor, and selflessness embody the highest values of public service .These are the historical accuracies (as you know at The Bow ,we are truthful and factual). As of 2 weeks ago The Bow had 300% followers with 28 hours airtime done by 200 streams by 115 listeners in 35 countries around the world. We have rolled out over 268 minutes of content on development. We are proud of our record and our development alone.  We are honored to work alongside these women who are around the globe. This is a good sign as wie know it is a somewhat fragmented effort towards achieving the UN SDG.... for a better planet Earth. Here at THE BOW ,we face (as a global community) issues but we believe that we will achieve and we will work out development.Everything matters. These women made us proud. They have showed love for the good of people, love for country and love for the planet Earth.Indeed, these women have followed what they believe in.Words are plenty but these women are impactful and rare. They have fused in development into their personal lives in 2022.Thank you to all the ladies. Please listen to this episode ELEVATE 2022 by visiting The Bow https://anchor.fm/THE-BOW Thank you. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/THE-BOW/support

These days we buy so much and we find it hard to declustter. She is of the view that Waste is Wealth but first we must REDUCE,RECYCLE,REUSE & REFUSE.For us at THE BOW this simply means: Reduce=Buy only what we need at that moment.

Recycle/Reuse=Use it again or give it out to someone to use again.

Refuse=Dont buy because others are buying or because you saw it on TV and it seems like its trending.STOP IT.DONT BUY.Priority is key. Please listen to The Bow TB by visiting our new URL https://anchor.fm/THE-BOW

Tonight on our programmong, we do a followup on our 22nd May 2021 about Objectification of Women.a Today we talk about OBJECTIFICATION OF WOMEN 2. In this world we live in today, the war of values is so complex.Fashion is going wild like weeds in a wasteland coupled with the fact that the media have tinted our morals & unconsciously set women up as sex slaves or as "the weaker sex" thereby denying them equal rights in the present day society. No wonder rape cases have increased. No wonder we have an increasing amount of single mums(single parents).Who stands for chastity and modesty?Who stands for decency?Does anyone care anymore??? At The Bow,we care and know that women deserve equal right and respect where ever they go.

Welcome to todays programming at THE BOW. Today,we look at Goal 16 of the UN SDGs as we narrow down on INTEGRITY(following months of our previous episodes on issues like Eye Service,Courtesy,Stick-to-itiveness & African Time).Integrity is what will make us actually achieve all of the UN SDGs with a sincerity of purpose & focus. The Efiks will say : " Eto ese mmong ese kpa mmong"(what is bad is bad) and so the person with integrity knows that you JUST have to do the right thing(a remark my kid sister Arc Erica Nwanyanwu will always drum to my ears). The Yorubas will say

"Sokoto to n ise oko lo n gbe"( Your labour yields your affluence) which we simply know that it means a good name (integrity) is better than riches. Our intellectual mentality has to change for us to recognise that we have little time on our hands to just do the right thing with a clean integrity and thereby achieve the UN SDGs before 2030.Our integrity is key because our time is NOW. Last night ,as we celebrated World Youth Skills Day ,following our interview of Ruth (a young lady that plays the violin as her means of livelihood),it was a sad discovery for me ( as a podcaster for THE BOW), that the education system in Nigeria leaves you with only knowledge and doesn't empower you with skills to move unto sustainable livelihood.Hence ,a lot of Nigerian graduates are unemployed.

The biggest barrier to develop the skills needed to pursue your career aspirations in Nigeria are:

A. Don't know what skills I need.

B.Can't afford training.

C. Can't access training.

D.No professional role models.

E.Family expectations to focus on other things.

It is very important that for us to achieve our career goals and have great skills that will make us have Sustainable Livelihoods,we MUST:

A. Access to relevant online resources.

B. Job-ready skills programmes in school.

C. Access to on-the-job training
