Don’t plan to stop working; plan for your next mission and make it impactful! God gave you specific time and talents to use for Him!Poem by Marianne Williamson:“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mensalliancetribe/support

Many items can be lost such as a job, pets, friendships, and marriages. As men, we need to take time and space to let our brain catch up to the event that has happened. Johanna shares her 7 steps included below and talks about the power of writing a closure letter on the grief you are going through.

Men’s Alliance | How Great Men Grieve

“If you loved it, and lost it, then grieve it”Grief is like an epic hike through a desolate land. 7 Steps of the Journey: 1. TRAILHEAD: AT THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEYa. Set the intention to heal, to integrateb. Look for a sign you are grieving: Cognitive, Affective, Physical, Spiritualc. You ONLY work where grief is coming up, that’s the beginningd. Feel the pain (No pain, No gain)... It brings healing2. LOOK AT THE MAP (Pssst... it’s a magical map)a. The magical map only appears as you walk forward in your griefb. It’s completely unique to you (circumstance, personality, etc.)c. Dispel misconceptions (don’t look for stages)3. BEGIN WALKINGa. Small doses as it comes upb. One thing at a timec. We cannot grieve all at one time. We wouldn’t be able to take it!d. Be creative... example: recognizing important dates (or your body will tell you)4. GATHER WITH OTHERS - DON’T GRIEVE IN ISOLATIONa. Grieving is internal - Mourning is your external or public experience of griefb. ESSENTIAL - speak about the experience of the loss, memories, etc.c. Moves from the head to the heart (READ THIS AGAIN!!!)d. Look for the 1⁄3 who are good with grief (most likely someone who has dealt withtheir own grief)5. STOP FOR RESTa. Sustenance for your epic journeyb. Maybe learn to rest for the first time6. EXERCISE JOY AND PAIN MUSCLEa. Like any normal ruck or hike there is joy with the painb. Practice this often when you are grieving7. GET TO THE LOOKOUTa. Reflect on how far you have come (when you look at the loss with less pain)b. See parts of yourself that are becoming whole again - integrating the lossc. This is OFTEN understanding who you are (e.g. identity)Sponsor:Tom 'Doc' Love CFP®, CRPC®, CRPS® tlove@themainstreetgroup.com Craig Heah. craig.heah@themainstreetgroup.com https://www.themainstreetgroup.com/

Fear,  Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) – We all struggle with fear.

Whether that’s fear of failure, fear of losing something we hold dear, fear of not starting something, or fear of the unknown. Most fear resides in our head when we doubt ourselves. That allows Satan to open the door wider and whisper more lies to us causing more FUD. FUD will come and go. It’s a combination of being stuck in our heads and  lies from the enemy. Bring God into your struggles with FUD. Further  your relationship by opening the door to the Lord, wait for the Holy Spirit to move with you, and then watch Satan's door close. · What fears are you now struggling with? · What fears do you need help letting go that prayer, family and friends, Men's Alliance or Church staff can help with?

The good news of Jesus doesn't make any sense unless we first understand the depths of the bad news. We're all sinners who deserve separation from God for all eternity. That's some bad news right there.

Sadly, many churches in America are afraid of giving the bad news. They want to be popular and preach feel-good messages that won't offend anyone.

But a church that tries to please everyone ends up pleasing no one. Find a healthy church where the pastor isn't afraid to talk about sin and hell and why it is that we need the good news of Christ.

"The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?"  Jeremiah 17:9 We should NOT follow our hearts. We should not base our decisions on how we FEEL.   Feelings change, hearts deceive us, but the objective Truth of the Gospel of Jesus is unchanging.   Make no mistake, culture is attacking gender because "God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."  Culture is attacking Truth because Jesus said, "I am the Truth," and culture is attacking love because scripture teaches that God is love.   It's a well-orchestrated attack against the very nature and image of God, and we must be men who stand for the Truth.

Millions suffer from anxiety, yet people usually hide it.  In this episode, Robert gets real and shares his journey.  He includes what the Bible says about anxiety, to include the practical steps he took to cope with anxiety.

The book You Are Not Your Brain by Jeffrey Schwartz and Rebecca Gladding shares the following 4 steps:

1) Relabel

2) Reframe

3) Refocus

4) Revalue

Ending with some verses that help bring strength and peace with Philippians 4:4-9

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be  careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with  thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

In Round #1 of Ambassador Training, we'll look at each of the following objections to Christianity:

Relativism - "There is no such thing as absolute truth. You have yours and I have mine."

Pluralism - "All paths lead to God, there is more than one correct way."

"Tolerance is the last virtue of a depraved society. When you have an immoral society that has blatantly, proudly, violated all of the commandments of God, there is one last virtue they insist upon: tolerance for their immorality." - Dr. James Kennedy

Here are few things we should not tolerate:  Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 1 Timothy 1:9-10

If you made up your own religion and wanted to get millions of followers what would you say? Would you promise money? Health? Women? Pleasure? Would you say that your followers could do anything they want without any judgement? If you wanted lots of followers you would do everything the opposite of Christianity. And that is evidence that Christianity was NOT invented by men.

When did we start believing that God wants to send us to safe places to do easy things? ~ Mark Batterson

God has called on some great men over the course of history to do some incredible things. Consider Joshua, Caleb, Abraham, Moses, David, Sampson, and most of all – Jesus. These men didn’t squander opportunity. They rose to the occasion and stood up for God. Are we part of this elite remnant of men? Or are we standing on the sidelines blending in with the crowd?

Tribe Delta celebrates 1 year!

Its easier than ever to read scripture, books are everywhere, you can listen to it, it’s on your phone, and even on your watch.

Are you just reading or memorizing the scripture, taking it in, and living it out? We need to write the scripture in our hearts to make us the men God created us to be. This allows us to be changed through scripture, understand the wisdom, dwell on the wisdom, and impart the wisdom when we and others need wisdom.

Memorize and reflect on the verses below:

The 12 Men’s Alliance Memory Verses

Lead your family in learning one each month.

Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our

Lord.

Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners,

Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9 – If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that

God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:13 – Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever

believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Col 1:15 – The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Eph 2:8-9 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from

yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the

Father except through me.

Acts 4:12 – Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to

mankind by which we must be saved.

John 16:33 – I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you

will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

Heb 12:1-2 – Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us

throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with

perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of

faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the

right hand of the throne of God.

We are not tasked with living an easy life, but are commanded by Jesus to do things that are hard.

Listen to some of his commands and think about those in the Bible who have experienced hard times.

The world has gotten to comfortable where even driving to work is now considered a hardship.

Learn about the concept of Misogi and how it can help you create challenges that will truly test you, instead of easy goals that we can achieve.

Many churches today have surrendered the battleground of men's hearts and focused instead on bringing in a demographic that's easier to attract - kids.  This mistake has led to the feminization of church. It's time for the church to meet men where they are by un-bundling the message of Jesus from the routine of "going to church." "When a mother comes to Christ, her family will join her at church only 17% of the time; but when a father comes to Christ, his family joins him 93% of the time." - WACMM.org
