Today we speak with Chelsea Gonsalez. Coordinator of the Hawaii Alcohol Policy Alliance regarding the Senate Bill 160. This bill is to lower the driving will drinking alcohol rate from .08 to .05. Chelsea explains the benefits from lowering the alcohol average and also talks about some stories regarding drinking and driving. Krystl Apeles is the owner of a non-profit called ALakoko Shop. Now this is not your typical retail store. This store is focused on helping local businesses with a brick and mortar for their comapny. As you know, brick and mortar is high in expenses. For most business owners, they lack the time, skills or money to open their own spot. This non-profit creates a space for each business to hold their products while recieving 100% of their proceeds. Alakoko shop also hold various workshops for other business owners like paint night or learning about taxes. Alakoko shop is also involved in the community by helping various events like Downtown Lihu'e Night Market and the Christmas show coming up with Kimmie A Miner.

Kamaka Camarillo is now releasing his new single called, "Na Iwi" and the meaning it holds. Many people were part of the making of this song. ALso, learn about Kamaka's future plans in music.
WE talk to Deborah from Hawaii Children Theater. This non-profit is a performing arts agency for all ages that focus on musicals. Their non-profit teaches skills to all ages from dancing, acting and singing. They have fundraisers and shows throughout the year. Many people donate their time for these shows. Suessical is their performance for this week and Sunday NOv 20 will be a matinee show in collaboration with Kauai Independent Food Bank and Hawaii Food bank $6 plus a food or monetary donation. HAPA is a non-profit business that focuses on Sustainable Food Systems, Community Stewardship of the 'aina, and Social Justice. Today we explore some of their continuing programs and their upcoming program, the 'Ai Pono Kaua'i Challenge commencing on September 25th and ending on October 1st. This challenge will help people meal prep and plan their meals to be locally sourced, while winning prizes and encouraging others to source their food locally.

The Alakoko store also supports community events like business class workshops and paint nights with Mo'olelo Murals and Kamawaelualani.
