This episode about redefining what it means to go through menopause is such a gift for all women. Allison Prest is a professional hypnosis practitioner, transformational life coach and menopause mentor with over 20 years in the fitness, health and wellness arena. I achieved my certification as a Menopause Specialist Coach with Girls Gone Strong (2023) to add to my education which consists of the National Guild of Hypnosis (2022) and The Mind Rebel Academy (2021). The main focus of my practice is to partner with women who are struggling in their peri and post-menopausal years and who have a desire to thrive and not just survive. Combining coaching and hypnosis, my purpose is to help women through their autumn phase (perimenopause) where they begin to question more about who they are, they are more disconcerted, they are struggling with not just the typical hot flashes and weight gain, but the anxiety, sleeplessness, low libido, the feeling of being invisible, low self-esteem, anger, and the list goes on to emerging into your post-menopause (winter season) with support, goals, better understanding of self, confidence, grounded. My goal is to take back The Crone years as a positive transition and phase of life that should be celebrated, not tolerated. As a Menopause Specialist Coach I support and help aging women find their flow~mind, body and soul as they enter their next phase and emerge with more confidence, embracing their wisdom and being seen as a vital part of our communities. You can find Allison on IG @soulful.flow.coach and her website www.soulfulflow.ca.blog

Reiki is an energy healing technique in which a Reiki master (who has undergone formal training in this healing art) uses gentle hand movements with the intention to guide the flow of healthy energy (what's known in Reiki as life force energy) through the client's body to reduce stress and promote healing. In today's episode, I talk about the essence of Reiki with Reiki Master and Life Coach Laura Mora. I also share the benefits reiki has had on my life and my passion for healing. If you want to know anything about reiki, this is the episode for you. We discuss how it is practiced, what to expect, our own personal experiences when receiving Reiki, who Reiki is for and what questions to ask when looking for the right Reiki Master.

When you think of Genius, what names come to mind? I came up with a few, but forgot to mention myself. Eleni beautifully explains that we all have a genius inside us, but what separates us from the genius in our minds is the courage to foster the natural innate gifts within us. Listen along as Eleni & I discuss:

  • the importance of children having the privilege of an important role model to encourage the fostering of their genius

  • shedding the narratives that hold us back

  • how curiosity can help you discover your genius

  • permission to change your path along the way

  • that there is room for us in a world full of others sharing their genius

In todays episode, I share my journey of feeling unworthy to fully feeling worthy of everything I desire. I unpack what it means to experience shame vs. guilt and how our emotions can be productive in our growth. Worrying about other peoples opinion of me, has hindered my experience with worthiness and I have come to the conclusion that if you give other people the privilege of defining your worth, they have all the power to take it away.
