A letter from the poet Ted Hughes to his and his wife, Sylvia Plath’s son, Nicholas Hughes. (1986)
I briefly explain the feeling and basis behind the poem and recommend you listen to the inspiration for it which is a song by Glasvegas called ‘My Cheating Heart’ and also inspired by poet who says “life is for those who want to live”
Just a bit of rambling and some pieces of notes / poetry stuff from my writing book. Thank you for listening 😘

This episode features me trying to delve into the depths of my disassociative mind and past even past lives. Childhood and Adulthood written pieces. Always subconsciously penned - stay vague always! xx

Life’s been so challenging and I’ve been without a phone lol (poor me) it’s not that bad but creating is therapeutic and not having the means to create is quite upsetting to my mental health, not only that but life struggles get in the way too. Falling in Love 💗TIQs is a new series of quotes I created and stand by. Some poetic some motivational, observational, about love; relationships, and life... Thanks 👍 Chase Delaney aka SOPOETIC.. x
Meaningful but abstract and indistinct poetry. Thank you for subscribing. I am eternally grateful that Iam not alone on this poetic journey. 💗
Seasons Greet is a play on the Scottish word for crying - greet. It's tinged with sadness and fear of Christmas without loved ones. Also the dread of future challenges provoked by unnecessary organised fun occasions. Feeling surplus to requirements. Number 40 of my poetry practice. Only 60 to go. Yey!!
Another installment of poetry. Number 39 of 100 poetry practice. Thank you for listening and following 💗
Back again ! Had a long break 😸 poetry head is on again number 38 still not reached 100 yet! X
My FIRST EVER FICTION SHORT STORY (supposed to be horror but it's more a mystery or less) x
After a brief break I'm coming back with more poetry. This one being number 34 of 100. It's about love and aging and musing on sex. Thank you for listening don't forget to follow for more updates! X
Not Specific ! Takes show not tell or describe don't explain, to the fucking edge. An original prose time, half rhymn, free-flow, tongue twister type 'poem'. Number 31 of a 100 poem stink oops did I mean stint!? Lol bit more of an attempt at long-form. Means a lot. X
Short form prose type original poetry. Number 30 of a 100 poem stint to improve my writing skills and experience. Still trying to find my own style.
Prose type original poetry. Number 29 of a 100 poem stint to improve my style of writing and poetry 'skills'. Also creative therapy. xx
Prose type original Poetry by SOPOETIC. number 28 of a 100 poem stint to improve my writing style. X
"..Don't be a By-Stander on the wrong side of time.." Written for my old friend. Poem 27 of 100 on the poetry project 'tour' X
Prose poem, half rhymes, MUSINGS and emotion. After a short break I'm back to battle the heart and pull out a few new bits of poetry - of sorts. This is poem number 26 from my 100 original poems practice project. To challenge myself to improve my writing skills. Enjoy! Don't forget to FOLLOW for random, sporadic updates. Thank you x
Another installment of my morbid poetic licence lol trying to recite in a more authentic accent as my voice differs from time to time. Baby me wasn't with this one this one was fag-ash Lil voice!! Only number 24 out of 100 poems project. Thanks for listening 👍🎧
Final Melodies is a partial prose poem exercise as I have not been writing for a week now. Sticking with the traditional poetry themes of love, loss and life. To be read in the manner of an old strict school teacher lol poem 23 of 100 poems project.
I have Disassociative Identity Disorder symptoms alongside my main schizo diag. Well, part of that means I sometimes can't cope with reality or my own emotional reactions to real situations, so I 'switch off' go somewhere and 'someone' stronger takes my place to deal with it. I get a blank stare and I lose proper memory of stuff or events. Mostly I don't remember or can't recall the emotional turmoil or rewards attached. I remember situations like an outsider looking through the patio doors of my mind. This poem is about me and my nana before she 'knew' or at least disclosed that she was dying. I think she knew long before we did. I love my nana she raised me well. I wish I could have comforted her. I went 'missing' emotionally but I always SAW her really saw who she was and she saw me. Sometimes she didn't like what she saw because it wasn't the Claire (my baby name) that she loved. Poem 22 of 100 poems project. Another short one of a subject I can't cope with yet. X
Surviving Survival 21 of a 100 poems project it's about me after my father passed away who I didn't grow up living with but was the best dad ever !! It's kinda short because I can't think too long about this subject. X
Bit busy here but forced me to read a bit louder! This poem is about my wild imagination when the TV is switched to stand by and the blinds are up, open in the dark night and I see my reflection but convince myself that in the corner of my eye there are spirits or souls or hallucinations from another realm. I tried tokeep it vague so none of this will show or be told in this short poem. It's number 20 out of my 100 poem challenge and so a little milestone. Follow if you enjoy! X
Another installment of the 100 poems project. This one is fairly short form - seriously recited lol - ambiguous prose. (19/100)
Bit ropey reading of another prose type poem. Could read my own writing so had to do some improvising. 🤣
Prose poem written in one block stanza, no line breaks, no rhymn scheme. With additional music - an instrumental cover of the original - music to finish. No.17 in my 100 poem writing practice 'challenge'. During the intro there is a clicking mic interference after that the only added extra is our dog snoring as usual. I hope you enjoy! Xx
So upsetting what happens to me and I allow it. There's rain in my love time to reign in my love... You know what I mean!? SHORT POEM 16th of 100. Hope IT GETS BETTER 💔⛓️
Below Full Poem: DELIRIOUS Opening glittering veins Of savage paranoia Searing indignation To the junkies of my horror Across these miles Of stone and skulls May nothing haunt You hearts dark hulls The nights get too long For a river of deep sleep Not every fight is logical Wither thy weakness obstacle Just ake me to your master Forsaken passenger's brave Endeavour mind is thus thy slave Recipicate my love or else This renogade will be done For time is the power And fear our kingdom come Which tricks have trickled down my spine In fluid bourne from stolen stardust Revitalised every bone's vertebrae Requires robust thrusts For thy to carry alone, thus slay You thought it be impossible To train fiery naked flames But I am more unstoppable So dance dance dance Let's tame our delirious brains.
Below is full POEM: I am moving... I'm a scruffy apparition in a land of ghosts, hair and clothes flapping in the wind, in a diluted sunlight my palid skin a-glow.
I am moving... with an utterly ungraspable determination I lazily, languidly lay intrusive thoughts to rest; badly bitten fingers stumbling blearily to rub the grubby temples of my wearily humming head,
I am moving.... hair tonsured by the razor winds I snarl as it bites and whips, then huddle further into myself, as melancholic madness grips. I am moving.... falling into mortared slashes, bright in a sharply-focussed mind, attaching to the scars, scabs and gashes, immortal wounds laymented finds.
I am moving.... emotional neglect seeping through my bones I dream of falling buildings breaking down walls of my own.
I am moving... Fascinated in a fossiliferous fury There is no other realm overlit, but for that place which scared but shining in glory fires the darkened heart in it's acidic heated kelm. I am moving... among the magma that intrudes my soul for want of a better specimen, my psyche throbs within the subterranean phenomena inside my skull and sacrid kin. I am moving... My brain fumes like javelins swarming like lighting sparks leaping over lakes of pain on splintered stilts hitting the landscape, smeared with bullshitted hurt - a place I call my heart. I am moving.
"I just want to exist.." as short poem. Part 13 of my 100 poems practice. It rhymes but it's hardly poetic. I am sti exploring forms and trying to find my own voice and style within poetry. Having D.I.D. I often struggle finding one solid identity so mostly it's an eclectic mix of 'it is what it is'. Thank you for following 💓
Warm up poem for the day. It's a bit messy lacks depth but states a valid emotional turmoil which presents itself as my muse for poetry going forward. This is the 12th poem in my 100 poem project. Thank you for following.
Reclaiming the phrase "The Eyes Don't Lie" is this spontaneous combustion of sadness on a page and came together in 2 minutes. Poem 11 of my writing practice for the mission of 100 poems. No time limit. I pump them out daily. My heart is aching now. X
Funny outro on this... but I was reading from Charles Bukowski's last poem book which was written just before he died (as much as to my knowledge) called The Last Night Of The Earth Poems and I had a mini-inner child 'technical' blip at the beginning of recording.. it was quite stupid so silly that I saved it for you to hear at the end anyway... Sorry about that HIGH DECIBELS of LAUGHTER. x
Poem: The Reason For Living is written in practice for my 10th poem milestone in the 100 poem practice challenge mission to improve my writing skills. This is based upon real experience but is written with poetic licence too. X
A sort of "structured" simplified and slightly informative BASIC explanation of WhoTF I AM and why I am here. Just a rough intro as I've started to share the podcast socially a little bit more now. I will elaborate and dig deeper into me and my life and everything along the way. X
Not gonna count this in the 100 poem challenge as it was just me trying to channel my inner vibration and damping down on the nitty gritty dirt on my mind. In other words... Being a dickhead. Bit Bukowskish. X
Ninth try in the 100 poem practice challenge to improve the quality of the POETRY I write. (It's a bit gloomy!) Enjoy!
This one is more of a mad write about something that is happening right now. Based on bad paranoia, mistrust and my mental health being a huuuuge prick in our lives. Poem 8 on my way to 100 for improvement in writing poetry challenge but the quality is still fluctuating. Follow my @sopoetic_writes on Instagram for poetic quotes. Follow my SoundCloud for my musical creations. Thanks! SoundCloud.com/sopoetic
Another tried stylised write. Original poem unlike my usual flow. Incorporated repetition that's all haha the same same same thing number 7 in my poetry practice to 100 pos challenge... Only 93 to go. Thankf**k he didn't suggest 1000 just to shoo me away and stop me bothering him. X
Found it hard to re-read my writing on this original poem of sorts. I labeled it fifth but wrote it about third. It's so important that I document my writes since speaking to the owner of the poetry channel "MINISTRY OF POETRY" YouTube, because that guy is a genius, he isn't much interested in my work haha but that is because he is on another level, like top shelf material, why would he want to befriend me lol I'm in awe. Ministry of Poetry on YouTube if you don't wish to listen to this episode just check him out for REAL POETRY I swear don't do it for me DO it for you! Thank me later ❤️
Another stylised but original poem as part of my 100 poem challenge or poetry 'improvement program' as I've dubbed it. Also trying to read much clearer and in a professional tone. (Still trying..)
Part 4 poem I wrote in practice during my 100 poems challenge. I posted on social media too with an acrylic on canvas painting I made too. This is a strange poem a bit abstract. But 'drawn' from the soul. ;-)
