In Obiter Dicta's first radio show of the new year, your hosts Sana Feroz and Odette Dyer bring a densely-packed episode of (overwhelmingly American) legal news!
Listen to find out the implications of the LA wildfires as President Trump is inaugurated, as well as the concerns over climate litigation given his previous term in office. They also discuss the impact of the media in potentially delaying significant legislation coming into effect due to false claims made by huge public figures on social media, the controversial Higher Education Freedom of Speech Act (inciting a clash between academics and the UK government), as well as the US TikTok ban, the halo effect in relation to Luigi Mangione, and finally, the strategic importance of Greenland to the US.
