Harry enjoys his new-found freedom, purchases his school supplies, and meets with Hermione and Ron. Hermione buys Crookshanks after the cat takes after Ron’s Scabbers. Back at the Leaky Cauldron, Harry overhears Mr and Mrs Weasley talking about the danger he is in
Aunt Marge comes to visit and her taunting drives Harry to inflate her, then gather his belongings and leave Privet Drive without permission to visit Hogsmeade.
we are reminded of Harry’s previous adventures and told of his summer holidays, he receives birthday cards and presents from his friends, and Harry learns what Ron and Hermione did during the summer.

We see a little of Snape's dislike towards Harry in his first couple of potions classes. We have tea with Hagrid and learn a few things.

Harry takes his first steps into the wizarding world, literally, and we do a little back to school shopping. Harry gets his first birthday present worth wile and we get a wand!!

As we continue we learn what is in this mysterious letter for Mr. H. Potter and an old friend pays a visit. Harry learns secrets from his past that were kept from him about his parents and who and what Harry is.
We are back from the zoo and Harry has had his longest punishment ever in his cupboard, because of course he had something to do with the boa escaping. Harry’s world is about to be rocked when he receives his first ever letter in the mail. The Dursley’s world in turn is about to turn upside down.
Fast-forward a decade and we see Harry’s life living with the Dursleys. Strange things seem to have a habit of happening whenever Harry is around and talking to snakes falls directly into that category.
We open the series meeting several new characters and why everyone is so happy even though a small boy loses his parents.
