Relationships are not just of you and one person- it can be with everything else. Family, friends, even with a church. Sara Forrest, an ex-Mormon, comes on the podcast to share how they found themselves in the most authentic light while navigating through multiple relationships.

Sara’s journey started when they realized they were the “other person” in a relationship. Through that relationship, we met. This also led them into questioning their LDS faith, themselves in how they feel, and how the church views queer individuals.

Sometimes, It’s okay to be out of alignment with yourself. You have to be able to recognize when that happens, how it happens, and what to do to get back in alignment. It’s not always easy, and not an overnight fix. Everyone can feel out of alignment once in a while.

Today, I have a deep conversation with you all about how I’ve been feeling out of alignment and how I’m getting back to me. While it may take some time, I wanted to be authentic and real with you that it’s not always rainbows and butterflies.

If you’re going through this, too, just know, we can do it together.

In this episode I chat about:

  • How I’ve been feeling out of alignment

Since last year, a few life long friends walked out of my life for reasons, I'm still confused about today. Having friends of any length of time, walk out is hard. Sometimes, friendship breakups are more heartbreaking than romantic relationships. I feel that this topic is important to discuss because during this phase of life, I notice that many people lose friends as we get older. Sometimes it's a mystery, a one-sided friendship, growing apart, or sadly, death.

I discuss the emotional journey of healing after losing these kind of friendships. Joined by my girlfriend's, Kristen and Sydney, we share personal stories about friendship breakups, the grieving process, and the importance of finding new, supportive friends. We also delve into coping mechanisms, the impact of long-term friendships, and the lessons learned from these experiences. Through our discussions, we aim to provide comfort and insight for those who have faced similar losses.

Ben Stimpson on the podcast! Ben and I met through a Facebook group. If you’re into spirituality, are apart of LGBTQ+ community, a student in college, this podcast episode is for you.

We talk about going back to school in your 30s and why it’s not a big deal as people make it out to be. Honestly, going back to school in your 30s you don’t have that huge ego and you actually LEARN things then just glide through classes.

Ben also shares how being an older student he learned so much more about his courses and what he wanted to do that he is succeeding in that area.

Because he went back to school in his 30s he also realized that time is a spiral and not so linear as we think. We also discuss saturn return and what it means to us in our 30s.

Ah, the 90s. What most of us remember as our childhood. We have a lot of fun, fantical memories of the 90s and what it meant to us growing up. But do we really want to go back to the 90s or keep moving forward in life? Today is the very first round table episode of Thirty Flirty and Nerdy where I have my friends Ashley and James Nickerson, and my boyfriend, Brian Benetiz on the podcast to chat about our childhoods, what we remember, and how technology changed the world as we knew it. We Chat About:

  • How old were they were in 90s
  • What was their favorite thing they did as a kid
  • Did they have any fun toys, tv series or unique pop culture that you think about still to this day? (i.e. saturday cartoons)
  • Did they feel that your childhood then is different than the kid’s we see now?
  • We were in the age of no tech (i.e. cell phones, computers, internet) to dial up and what we are now. How did they feel about the changes within society?
  • The impact of 9/11 and big events in our childhood. What do they remember? How do they feel the news changed from then to now?

EXPLICIT TO SOME LISTENERS

When I first going to a local bar here in Las Vegas, I decided to hit up one of their trivia nights. Not thinking anything of it. Thinking- Oh It’s Trivia! Should be fun and a chill night. NOPE. Out comes a guy who is a clown. At first I was really nervous as I’m not a huge fan of clowns. I then realized then he was apart of the act FOR trivia.

Come to my surprise, this wasn’t your typical clown act. If you saw this act in person you’d think, “Does this man enjoy hurting himself?” Because that’s what I thought and I nicknamed him Trauma the clown. Trombo thought it was hilarious ;) . As I got to know Mule more, I learned he’s a really down to earth dude who enjoys being TromboTheClown as an escape and a way to have fun.

In the podcast episode today we talk all about

  • Who Wild Mule and TromboTheClown are
  • Why Mule does the acts he does (Staples himself, drinks crazy drinks)
  • If Mule describes himself as extroverted or introverted
  • Friends and Family’s reactions to TromboTheClown
  • Trombo’s Future

Today on the episode, I have Monique on the podcast to chat all things Pyshcotherapy. I started seeing Monique Janurary 2022 after a really rough breakup. After being able to form my words, I was able to realize that I had depression and anxiety. She helped me find the right medication as well as helping me become the person I am today.

While Monique is no longer my psycotherapist, I am so happy to have her on the podcast to share her journey into psychotherapy, finding the right medications for you, how to work through addictions with psychotherapy, and it's okay to break up with providers if they aren't a good fit.

Fitness is a huge part of life. Without fitness, we would feel sluggish, drained of energy, and overall unhealthiy. The first part of 2022, I was focused solely on changing my mindset. Going to therapy and psychotherapy, and journaling all I can. The second half of 2022, I was focused on fitness. Changing my body and forming healtheir habits. I decided to hit the gym and that's where I met Ben. Ben was my personal trainer for about 3-5 months. He taught me all I needed to know about setting a fitness routine, learning gym equipment, and to not be so scared of a male trainer.

Ben is a Las Vegas based personal trainer. NCEP Certified, ISSA certified, former trainer at EOS fitness. Current trainer at LVAC.

In this episode we chat about: - Ben's history into fitness - Motivation and what to do when you feel stuck - Training at gyms vs private training - What it takes to reach a fitness goal

Let’s talk about sex! Today’s episode is all about the sexual transmitted disease, herpes. Herpes is one of the most common STDs in the dating scene. In fact, in 2016, 3.7 BILLION people under the age of 50 have HSV-1. Genital herpes caused by HSV-2 affects about 491 MILLION people from 15-49 years old. Chances are, you may have been exposed to herpes sometime in your life and have no symptoms or you may know someone who has herpes. Either way, there is a stigma surrounding this STD.

I have TikToker Christpher Pickering on the podcast to spread awareness of how common HSV2 is and his journey with receiving his diagnosis while breaking the stigma. Christopher has helped thousands come to terms with their new status and continues to do so through his course Breaking Free from HSV and his TikTok videos.

We chat about:

  • The differences between HSV1 and HSV2
  • Christopher’s own HSV2 journey
  • Disclosing your status to people in your life.
  • Christopher’s series, “Would You Date Someone with HSV?” stats and findings

Your mindset plays an important role as to how you live your life. 30 is still so young! What's that saying? 30 is the new 20s but with money and fun?!

In this episode, Leticia and I are chatting all things mindset: starting a new career venture when you feel 'too old', how aging can be super fun and something to look forward to, and how to break limiting beliefs.

Leticia is a certified meditation teacher who created the MindFuel Workshops and The Me Time Journal to share how to create a sustainable daily holistic ritual and exercise mental fitness. Mrs Escamilla has hosted numerous workshops and has guided countless people to build daily self-care practices, learn how to meditate, create morning rituals, set up their days for success, and face challenges and obstacles with more ease. The Me Time Journal has sold over 100 copies since its release last year. Mrs. Escamilla created The Me Time Journal based on her journal practice. After realizing how important it was to write down ideas, emotions, confusions, realizations, celebrations, and daily gratitudes and intentions; she knew this practice could not just stay with her. The journaling tool has now helped others create rituals and practices that give space to create a bond and communication with themselves. Her mission is to guide others ready to live their best authentic life by sharing the tools, guides, and strategies that have led her to discover her authentic, unique, and silly real self, which is just letting the inner child play every day! And that's precisely what she guides others to discover and experience daily! Check out what's new around Las Vegas:

I’m so excited for this episode because I have one of my cousins on as a guest! My cousin Alana is just a year older than me and we have similar life experiences. We grew up together with family vacations, family visits, and so much more that Alana is like an older sister to me.

In this episode, Alana shares how important mental health is and how working on herself changed her perspective in life at 30. Your 20s are meant for you to make mistakes, learn, and get messy here and there. When you're in your 30s you learn to take care of yourself in more ways than one.

Alana is 31 and lives in Queens with her partner and their cat, Domino. She works in tech and likes naps, iced coffee, and listening to podcasts.
