Ok let me ease up. God made you and He knows who you are! He wants to introduce you to yourself, your true self. This is a series all about discovering your identity. What is the most valuable thing on Earth? What is the Earth’s greatest treasure? The diamond mines of Russia, the gold mines of Ballarat or the oil fields of the Middle East? Perhaps you may say, water, and yes this is all true however all of these fail in comparison to God’s greatest treasure… you and me. Human life is the best thing we have. How valuable is a life? Priceless. It is so valuable that Christ used the highest currency in the universe to buy us back from the clutches of darkness, His own blood. Long story short, you are priceless. Fear is a sneaky, nasty, little stinker. It's cunning, crafty and such a LIAR. So many of us struggle with fear but this doesn't have to be the case. There are so many references in the Bible telling us not to fear but sadly we still succumb to the threats of this naughty fiend. Well, fear does not come from God and thankfully God doesn't want you living in fear one moment longer. Why shouldn't we fear? Easy! It's because God is with us! That's it? Woah woah woah, thats huge! God, the Creator, is with you and He wants to take you through your fears and out the other side stronger than ever. Come on, let's unpack this together!

Ahh love, or luurrve as I like to call it. We have songs, books, movies, and poems motivated by those 4 spectacular little letters which bear such great meaning. I think love is cool. The ability to love another is probably the single greatest ability humanity has at its disposal. Why are we able to love another? It is because we come from God. The original Lover. God’s love is everlasting, it is incomprehensible, and try as we may to love each other and God, we don’t always do a great job. Luckily for us. God has always loved us first. God’s love for us is so much more important than our love for Him. His love does some pretty awesome things too. Don’t believe me? Let’s unpack this together.

Our world is noisy, very noisy. And there are people talking, all the time. This makes it really tough to hear from God! Especially when it seems like He is just… SILENT! I pray, I fast, I cry, but nothing! I’m stuck, I don’t know what to do and I feel alone. Well firstly, you just need to breathe. Remember God’s promises, ‘God will never leave you nor forsake you’. ‘Sam shut up! You have no idea what I’m going through, you don’t understand! O.K.’ Uhm, I actually do. I’m in a silent period myself. Let’s unpack this together.

The Gospel is about a Gracious King and the arrival of His Kingdom. I finally understand! Now what do I do with that? How do I get into this Kingdom. Great question! Let me ask you a question first. What is faith? Maybe you think it’s a nice synonym for ‘religion’ or ‘beliefs’.Well I tend to think that it is much more than that. Faith is the doorway into the Kingdom. By faith we have access to this grace (there it is, that special powerful word from part 1 of this series) in which we now stand. Wow… that is a wealthy statement. Well what else would you expect from the third and final entry into the ‘What is the Gospel?’ Series? Let’s unpack this together!

Kings, Queens, Lords, Ladies and Knights in shining armour? No. Not that kind of Kingdom. Jesus is a King with a Kingdom that He longs to manifest on the Earth. This is good news, it’s great news actually! This is part 2 in a 3 part series that is going to answer, “What is the Gospel?” We started with Grace and now we move to the Kingdom. This is probably the main message of the Bible! The story of a gracious King and His backwards, upside down Kingdom where the last are first, the least are the greatest and the King serves all.
