Yesterday's Emotions Don't Belong Here!
Today's episode speaks to the very center of our human experience—emotions.
More specifically, we're diving into the practice of living with today's emotions. Not the emotions of yesterday. Not the anticipated emotions of tomorrow. But what do you feel right here, right now?
So, please take a deep breath, settle in, and let's have an honest conversation about the power and purpose of being emotionally present.
Yesterday might have been hard. You might've felt disappointed, overwhelmed, angry, or even heartbroken. And if you're not careful, those emotions become baggage — they sneak into today and rob you of peace, clarity, and potential joy.
Here's the truth: you are not obligated to carry yesterday's emotions into today. Emotions are meant to move. They're energy in motion. But when we rehearse pain, ruminate over the past, or keep reliving a conversation that went sideways, we re-anchor ourselves in a moment that's already gone.
Listen to the end and learn how to live in TODAY'S emotions!
xoxo~Pamela Jean
Here is the hard truth:
Success is not the same thing as happiness. You can achieve everything you set out to do—hit the six-figure mark, grow the business, buy the dream home—and still feel empty, unsatisfied, or worse… lost.
Why? Because success is external. Happiness is internal.
We have been conditioned to believe that external achievements will solve internal struggles. "If I make more money, I'll feel secure." "If I lose weight, I'll love myself more." "If I reach this goal, then I'll finally be happy."
However, the truth is that happiness is a skill. It's an inside job. It has nothing to do with what you have or don't have.
I often see this in high achievers. They reach their goals, and instead of feeling fulfilled, they immediately start chasing the next thing. Because they thought the goal would make them happy, but it doesn't work that way.
You will learn four strategies to help you look inward for your happiness, because happiness IS an inside job!
xoxo~Pamela

Today, we're exploring a concept that challenges the way we think about forgiveness: forgiving without forgetting. We've all heard the phrase, "forgive and forget." But what if I told you that forgetting isn't the goal? That real healing comes from remembering without anger?
This episode is going to stretch you because we're talking about letting go—without losing sight of the lessons.
We've been taught that forgiveness means wiping the slate clean, pretending like nothing ever happened. But that's not forgiveness—that's avoidance.
True forgiveness isn't about erasing the past. It's about releasing the emotional grip it has on you.
Let me be clear: Forgiving doesn't mean excusing. It doesn't mean saying what happened was okay. It means choosing your peace over your past pain.
The goal isn't to forget—it's to remember without anger. To take the lesson, release the resentment, and move forward, lighter, stronger, and free.
If this episode resonated with you, please share it with someone who could benefit from it. And if you're ready for more profound coaching on designing a life of peace and power, let's connect.
In this powerful episode of A New Life Podcast with Pamela Jean, we sit down with Lisa Bain of Lisa Bain Ministries to explore the life-changing power of forgiveness. Lisa shares her inspiring journey of faith, healing, and hope, revealing how forgiveness can free us from the weight of the past and open the door to true peace.
Together, we discuss why forgiveness is essential for emotional and spiritual well-being, how to overcome the challenges of letting go, and practical steps to embrace forgiveness daily. Whether you're struggling to forgive others, yourself, or circumstances beyond your control, this conversation will empower you to step into a life of grace and renewal.
Tune in for an episode filled with wisdom, encouragement, and the transformational power of forgiveness. Don't miss it!

Get Busy Living Or Get Busy Dying
Several of my friends have recently lost loved ones at a young age. Their passing has been a stark reminder that life is fleeting, precious, and unpredictable. It's easy to get caught up in the busyness of life, in our daily routines, responsibilities, and stressors—but how often do we stop and ask ourselves, Am I truly living my life to the fullest?
Today, I want to discuss what it means to live a whole life, embrace each day with purpose, and ensure that when our time comes, we have no regrets about how we've spent our days. So, grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and dive into a conversation I hope will inspire you to live boldly, love more deeply, and embrace life with open arms.
Facing the Reality of Time One of my all-time favorite movies is The Shawshank Redemption. There is a scene towards the end of the movie where Red, one of the main characters, is thinking about breaking his parole. And he says, "Either I am going to get busy living or die." Red misses his friend, leaves his mundane life, and crosses the border south to join his buddy Andy on the beach of Zihuatanejo, Mexico. It's a beautiful reunion. If you haven't watched this movie, it is a good one!
None of us know how much time we have. Some people didn't get to wake up today. We never know when our names will not be on the wake-up list. That's a sobering thought, but it's also a powerful motivator. The idea isn't to dwell in fear but to use this awareness as fuel to live more intentionally. If you GOT to wake up today, then there is something YOU are meant to do and commissioned explicitly for you to do.
Ask yourself: If I had only one year left, how would I spend it? What would I stop putting off? Who would I call today to tell them I love them? Where would I spend my time?
We often act like we have all the time in the world, but time is the one thing we can never get back. So, if there's something on your heart that you've been meaning to do—whether it's writing that book, starting that business, or taking that dream trip—don't wait.
Take a listen and see how you can make a change today to GET BUSY LIVING!

Tracie Schmidt, Founder and CEO of Roar Loud Marketing, shares three Top Tips for Marketing our businesses today! Tracie has been a top-producing mortgage loan officer in San Diego, CA, for over two decades. er motto is "marketer first & loan officer second," knowing the importance of using marketing strategies and technology to build your brand in your market.
In September 2023, Tracie was allowed to step back from originating mortgage loans and take on a Director of Sales Technology role for the multi-billion-dollar mortgage company I originated for. Her nickname from day five on the job became "Tech Tracie," and I was quickly able to impact the businesses and lives of the sales team I worked with.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen changes in the mortgage industry, Tracie's position was dissolved only eight months later. Many people have told me, "When one door closes, another door opens."
In this case, Tracie opened my door and started Roar Loud Marketing. Much of her success over the last decade has resulted from using video to build her brand. She has been featured in publications like Mortgage Professionals Elite Women, Yahoo Finance, The Digital Journal, and The Ultimate Digital Marketing Playbook.
The biggest struggle Tracie has seen working with other mortgage loan officers, real estate agents, and business owners looking to build and grow their brands is not knowing where to start. Today is the 18th anniversary of my father's death. He was a young man and lost his battle with cancer at the young age of 58. In his honor, I will delve into a topic that touches each of us at some point in our lives: the grief process. Grief is a universal experience, yet it's often misunderstood and challenging to navigate, especially in leadership roles.
Grief is not only about the loss of a loved one; it can also stem from the loss of a job, a relationship, or even a dream. As leaders, it's crucial to understand how grief impacts ourselves, our teams, and our There are five stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. These stages are not linear; individuals may move back and forth between them, and they may experience them differently.
In leadership, it's essential to recognize that grief doesn't have a timeline. Some team members may bounce back quickly, while others may need more time and support. Our role as leaders is to create a safe space for people to express their emotions and to offer empathy and understanding.
But how do we lead effectively through grief? Firstly, we must lead by example. It's okay for leaders to show vulnerability and express their own grief. Authenticity builds trust and strengthens connections within the team.
I love you and miss you Dad.
Picture this: You're running a business and need to bring in new talent to help it grow. It’s time to level up and stop wearing so many hats. So, you rush through the hiring process, eager to fill the position as quickly as possible. But what happens when you hire someone who isn't the right fit for your company culture or needs the necessary skills to excel in the role? You waste time, money, and energy trying to make it work, only to realize that you must let them go. That's why it's essential to hire slowly and intentionally. Take the time to thoroughly vet candidates, assess their skills and qualifications, and, most importantly, evaluate their values and how they align with your company's mission. Remember, it's not just about finding someone with the right skills; it's about finding someone who shares your vision and passion for your business. Take a listen and enjoy!
In the episode today I will talk about the importance of taking action, and how to avoid inaction.
Imagine you're standing at a crossroads, one path leading to the comfort of familiarity, the other to the unknown, filled with endless possibilities. You're faced with a decision – do you take action and step boldly into the unknown, or do you choose the safety of inaction, lingering in the realm of what-ifs and regrets?
Every decision – whether to pursue a new opportunity, overcome a challenge, or embrace change – carries the weight of personal responsibility in life and business. It's about taking ownership of our choices and understanding that our actions, or lack thereof, shape our destiny.
Let's talk about action. The fuel propels us forward, the catalyst for growth and transformation. When we take decisive action, we seize control of our destiny, paving the way for success and fulfillment. But here's the thing – action requires courage. It demands that we step out of our comfort zones, confront our fears, and embrace uncertainty with open arms.
Today, we delve into the intricacies of decision-making and the profound impact of indecision. The episode is titled "Not Choosing Is A Choice." Join me as we explore the nuances, consequences, and psychology behind the decisions we don't make.
We face countless choices daily, from the mundane to the life-altering. But what about the decisions we avoid or postpone? Are they genuinely devoid of consequences? To understand this, we must first unravel the essence of choice itself. What drives our decision-making process? Is it fear, uncertainty, or simply a lack of awareness? We'll delve into the psychological mechanisms that influence our choices and examine why some of us find it challenging to make decisions.
Learn how NOT choosing impacts your life and how to move forward with healthy, confident decisions.

In today's podcast episode, we will discuss victimhood. Victims and victimhood are complex subjects that touch every corner of human society. Today, we'll uncover some important facts about victimization, explore the feelings it invokes, and contemplate its philosophy.
Victimization comes in many forms. From physical violence to emotional manipulation financial exploitation to societal discrimination, how people can be victimized is vast and varied.
Victims often experience profound trauma that can impact their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Recognizing that victimization is not just a one-time event but can have lasting effects ripple through a person's life is crucial.
Take a listen and see where you might be living as a victim in your life.
Gossip. That sneaky little habit can seep into our lives, wreaking havoc on our relationships, self-esteem, and overall happiness.
Now, why do people gossip? Well, buckle up because we're about to get real. You see, gossip often stems from a place of insecurity and fear. When we gossip about others, we're trying to elevate ourselves by bringing someone down. It's a toxic cycle that only makes us feel momentarily superior but ultimately leaves us empty and disconnected.

Now that I have your attention, this episode is about something other than Thinner Thighs In Thirty Days! Today, I am going to talk about avoiding get-rich-quick schemes.
Life and business are a marathon. Get rich quickly, reach six figures in one month, or even find the person of your dreams in 7 days. That's just not realistic.
I would like to remind you of something important: fundamental change, whether in your body or your business, doesn't happen overnight. It's a journey that requires dedication, persistence, and a willingness to embrace the process.
You see, too often in today's fast-paced world, we're bombarded with quick-fix solutions promising instant results. Whether it's a crash diet promising to shed pounds in a week or a business guru claiming to make you a millionaire overnight, these shortcuts rarely deliver on their promises.
Please listen, my friend, and let's go!
We're diving deep into the art of doing things differently to move you toward your goals and dreams. Are you ready to ignite that fire?
Now, my friends, when it comes to achieving our goals, many of us get stuck in the same old patterns, doing the same things repeatedly and expecting different results. But as Albert Einstein said, "Insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results."
So, if we want to break free from mediocrity and step into greatness, we must be willing to shake things up to do things differently.
You must be willing to do things differently to achieve success and live a life of abundance and fulfillment. Embrace change, challenge your limiting beliefs, step out of your comfort zone, and never stop learning. Remember, the power to create the life you desire lies within you.

I am Scottie Rae Lawrence, the proud owner and operator of Magnolia Soap Tulsa and surrounding areas. When I learned about Magnolia Soap, I fell in love with the concept, products, experience, and value this brand brought to people's lives. I decided to open my own Magnolia in December 2020 and took a massive leap of faith that not only would my store be successful, but I, too, would be able to make a difference in Tulsa & Oklahoma.
I always get asked what made me decide to open these stores, and it was simple. I wanted a place for families and friends to go that provided great products, gave them an experience, and created memories. I want everyone who walks into my stores to be instantly happy, feel part of my family, and become my friends. I am blessed to be able to use my stores for charity, fundraising, and giving back to our Tulsa community.
All of this is possible with the support of my family. I am married to a fantastic man, Drew. Who lifts me and allows me to chase my dreams every day. He believes in me and gives me the strength to reach for more. We met and married in chiropractic college in 1998. After graduating as Doctors of Chiropractic, we opened our clinics, and both practiced for many years. We have two fantastic children who have grown into incredible adults. We now enjoy spending Sunday brunching, planning trips, and acting like old people.. and I love it.

God’s call has taken Peggy to over 40 nations. She assisted church-planting pastors in The Gambia, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, and Nigeria in Africa. She has worked with the underground church in Egypt, Sudan, and Afghanistan; She has trekked among the world’s most primitive unreached peoples of Uganda and the Amazon of Peru. She has counseled Syrian refugees in Lebanese and Jordanian IDP/Refugee camps and ministered to imprisoned women in Panama and diverse parts of Africa. Traveling both stateside and abroad, she challenges believers to be on a mission with Christ by taking bold steps of obedience wherever God has placed them. Peggy’s passion is to see the glory and fame of King Jesus restored among all nations, tribes, and peoples, and she believes the discipleship and mobilization of the local church is God's means to restore hope to the hopeless and fulfill the Great Commission.
Peggy has spoken in many venues, from convention centers, diverse churches, women's retreats/conferences, and youth conferences to street preaching, prisons, festivals, and refugee camps. She lives to proclaim the gospel of Christ no matter what the situation, whether hidden in the floorboard while being transported to underground churches in the Middle East or standing in front of 110,000 people in Eastern Europe. Peggy's story is powerful and unique. From ashes to beauty God has taken a life filled with domestic violence, foster care, sexual abuse, and the suicide of her Father to a life of passionate purpose, where she proclaims the healing power of the gospel to the world's most marginalized, broken, and forgotten.
In 2018, Peggy took the baton from the founder of Awe Star Missions and, as President of the ministry, has continued the legacy of raising the next generation of missionaries. Through Awe Star, Peggy leads disciple-making movements with high school and college students, equips women in discipleship, mentorship, and mission, and leads strategic medical missions in hard-to-reach areas of the world among unreached and refugee groups.
Peggy and her husband, Joel, are the parents of four beautiful young children, three biological and one adopted. While stateside, her family lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where her husband is a practicing Emergency Room Physician. Peggy longs to see a generation of students and professionals mobilized to every corner of the earth. She believes it’s her personal responsibility to fulfill the Great Commission by going and mobilizing a generation into Jesus Ministry for the fulfillment of ushering in the return of Christ.

The fear of rejection is no joke. It’s a real thing that often keeps us from pursuing our goals. Whether it's asking for opportunities, making sales pitches, or seeking collaboration, the prospect of hearing a "no" can be intimidating.
Embracing rejection and learning to go for a "no" can be a powerful mindset shift that builds resilience and opens doors to new possibilities. In this blog, we'll explore the concept of "going for no" and how it can catalyze personal and professional development.
Enjoy!

A powerful interview with Adriana Fout! A serial entrepreneur who uses her business to serve the community. You are going to love this episode, enjoy!
As a natural problem solver, Adriana Fout fell into entrepreneurship. It was a path paved for her from her father and grandfather, who were both entrepreneurs. Growing up in Northern California, she knew that a 9-to-5 job wouldn't be sufficient financially or satisfy her desire to help others on a wider scale. In her early 20s, Adriana found her first opportunity to create a business utilizing her accounting degree, helping contractors set up and successfully operate their offices. She later went on to other ventures before landing in Real Estate. Currently, Adriana is the owner and team leader of The Alpha Group. She also owns and operates her own property management brokerage, Surplus Sixty Management, helping investors grow a legacy of wealth. To supplement the needs of her property management company, she also owns Tulsa Handyman Solutions, a small home repair company only available to her clients and tenants. In April 2020, she became the territory owner of Oklahoma Center Sphere, providing a networking platform for business professionals and entrepreneurs all over Oklahoma. Adriana is the wife to Kevin Fout, mother to her two adult sons, Terry and Matthew Fout, cat mom to Frank, and dog mom to Sophie, Sasha, and Thor. Her downtime is filled with caring for her house plants, educating herself to serve her clients better, traveling, and connecting through industry organizations she is involved in. Adriana is the Agent Advisory Council chair for Oklahoma eXp Realty. In December 2023, she accepted the position as the Vice President for 2024 of the 45 Below Council at the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa. Her favorite places to vacation are Las Vegas and Mexico. Her long-term retirement dream is to curate outstanding vacations and offer group experience trips.

So you want to be happy, but how? We put SO much weight into the opinions of others, that somehow what other people think of us matters. What if you stopped caring what others thought of you and started focusing on the views of those who love you?
Full transparency, we have all done this. It's time to stop this ridiculous thinking. Life is too short to be living for someone else's applause or approval.
Embrace your uniquness! Here is the deal: you are a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. It’s time to explore the power of embracing your uniqueness. Forget the cookie-cutter expectations society throws at you. It's time to shine in your light and be proud of the person you are becoming.
Happiness is an inside job; it starts with you!
A very timely podcast for a busy time of year. I interviewed Stress Management Expert Lolita Gaurin, an immigrant from Lithuania, living in Houston, TX. Chasing her American Dream, Lolita found herself overworking to please the companies she worked for, burning the candle at both ends until she neglected her basic needs of eating healthy; and simply taking care of herself. The result was mental and physical exhaustion. Something HAD to change.
Guarin discusses how she got to a point where she felt so physically drained that she ended up in the emergency room. This became a major turning point in her life, as she realized she needed to start focusing on taking care of herself, and putting her own physical and mental health above anything.
Today, Lolita is a published author and online coach. This interview will help you identify the source of your stress and will give you the tools to step into the Christmas Season stress-free! Lolita has a gift for you; she is giving you access to her latest book for free! Click on the link and download your copy today! Stress Management Book from Lolita

STUCK IN A RUT!
Stuck in a rut happens to everyone. You know the feeling of being trapped or unproductive, often due to a lack of variety, progress, or fulfillment. It typically refers to a feeling stuck in a monotonous and unchanging routine that has become dull and uninteresting.
Breaking free from a rut often requires conscious effort and a willingness to change your life, whether by setting new goals, seeking new experiences, or altering the daily routine.
It's important to remember that being stuck in a rut is expected; you are not alone. With the right strategies and support, overcoming it and moving towards a more fulfilling and dynamic life is possible.
Conflicts are a part of life and often are a result when there’s human connection. Unless you live on a deserted island, you will have conflicts from time to time. Responding professionally requires conflict-resolution strategies. If we are honest, no one likes conflict, it's human nature to avoid it at all costs. Out of sight, out of mind is not a tactic in conflict resolution.
Mastering the art of conflict resolution is the pinnacle of life success and business success. When a dispute arises, the best course of action is to use negotiation to resolve the problem. In my podcast, I highlight 7 important Conflict Resolution tips.
Conflicts will follow us into our personal lives too. Friends and family can be hard to live with sometimes, the 7 tips are universal. With the holidays coming soon it's a good idea to start preparing for your family reunion now.

To live a Balanced Life and have a Balanced Business and or career, you have to get rid of the things that drain you, the things, people, places, thoughts, and habits that suck the life out of you. The best way to do that is to do an Energy Audit and identify the things that energize or drain you.
Ultimately, you are responsible for what you allow into your life. You are the gatekeeper. Stop blaming other people, playing the victim, blaming your circumstances, and history for being stuck and drained. To reach high levels of success, the energy has to be high. You have got to love what you do, with purpose and passion. When your energy is aligned in all categories, the sky truly is the limit.

The first month of the year coming to a close. How are you doing on your New Year Resolutions?
It is safe to say that MOST have already given up. You have gotten distracted, maybe a little depressed with the end of the holiday season. Perhaps you have gotten busy and simply derailed by life and told yourself, well better luck next year.
I can share a zillion reasons why you gave up on your goals but that will not serve you.
The number one conflict my clients have when it comes to health and wellness, is this: I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START! Today I give you a roadmap to getting started!
I am starting my year off with a major break-up. I am officially breaking up with SUGAR! I enjoy dessert just like the next person, in moderation. The problem lies in the HIDDEN SUGAR that is in so many of our daily favorites. I want to shed some light on some of your daily favorites that can be sabotaging your weight loss, health, and wellness. It can take up to 20 days to complete your sugar detox. After 20 days, you will notice your sugar craving has decreased. As a reminder, your weight loss and wellness is a marathon, not a sprint. It has taken years for you to get where you are today, it will take time to find yourself again, time to redefine yourself again, and time to fall in love with yourself again.
This podcast is dedicated to A NEW YOU 365 Coaching Program. I know you want to kick off the new year in the right way and fulfill your resolutions. A NEW YEAR 365 will lock arms with you and help you reach the goals, see new levels of success in all areas of your life. And live a life of happiness and peace you didn't know was possible for you.

In Part #1, I covered the importance of living with balance caring for PHYSICAL and SOCIAL Wellness. Part #2 I focused on FINANCIAL AND INTELLECTUAL WELLNESS. Part #3 I covered ENVIRONMENTAL and EMOTIONAL WELLNESS. Today, I will dive into Career and Spiritual categories.
To recap…HOW DOES THE WELLNESS WHEEL WORK?
The idea of a WELLNESS WHEEL is simple; balance the different areas of your life, and you’ll start to find that your life will improve. Your life will become more balanced. You will experience fewer big "swings", fewer and fewer "highs and lows".
It’s a little more complex than that, but ultimately once you have each of the Wellness Wheel elements balanced, you will see a shift. It’s about living life to its fullest and maintaining continuous, positive activity to keep us healthy and happy.
The fact is, you are where you are in your life, because of choices YOU have made. It's not your parent's fault, your siblings, a friend's, or even your spouse's fault, it's all on you. You choose your feelings, you are in charge of your thoughts.
Yes, some of these decisions have indeed been forced on you. It's true, that there are things that have happened TO you, things that were out of your control. That is simply a fact of life.
But where do you want to be in the future? What decisions can you make now that will improve your health and well-being? This is how the Wellness Wheel can help. The wheel encourages you to reflect on your life and your decisions, relating to the categories in each of the separate categories.
You then set goals for yourself, each designed to bring about a balance. Remember; all of these different aspects are a part of you, part of your life. They may seem disconnected, but they all begin and end with you. And your happiness depends on them being balanced.
Always remember YOU ARE THE CENTER OF THE WELLNESS WHEEL!
You must commit to working on yourself my friends!
There are 8 areas of our lives that when in balance, we find a blissful place of Peace.
The eight areas are; Physical * Social * Financial * Intellectual * Environmental * Emotional * Career * Spiritual
If you pause and think about what keeps you up at night, undeniably the nighttime struggle is because one of the areas of the Wellness Wheel is out of balance.
If we are honest with ourselves, most of us have more than one area causing life to go off of the rails preventing balance and Peace.
The two categories I am going to talk about today are CAREER and SPIRITUAL.
In Part #1, I covered the importance of living with balance caring for PHYSICAL and SOCIAL Wellness. Part #2 I focused on FINANCIAL AND INTELLECTUAL WELLNESS. Today, I will dive into two “E’s” Environmental and Emotional categories.

We have all heard the saying “You can’t believe everything your read” insert Social Media, or “You can’t believe everything you hear”. The truth is, YOU CAN’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU THINK!
Why are we so hard on ourselves? What will it accomplish?
Friends we have got to stop whipping ourselves with shame and unbelief. Self-loathing and self-anger are destructive patterns that lead to guilt and self-judgment. This HAS TO STOP! It does not serve you or anyone else in your life.
It is time for you to start believing what is possible in your life. It’s time for YOU to decide what is possible for you.
Let me ask you this, what do YOU think is possible for your life right now? Pause for just a moment and think about this. Be honest with yourself. How did you come to that reality? How did the life you are living today become your reality?
First of all, you are where you are because of the choices you made. But why did you make the choices you have made? Did you decide or did you allow someone to influence you? Did you choose or were you conditioned? Are you going through the motions simply to keep peace in your family? Are you living to please others while sacrificing your dreams and desires for your life?
Many people are choosing a limited life because of how they have been conditioned. An example is this; when I was growing up, it was drilled into me that a person will never be successful and live an abundant life of financial freedom if you don’t have a college degree. For years I felt my career would be limited because I do not have a college degree and I can tell you that could not be further from the truth! Take a listen and enjoy!
Nikki Harrison is a fine art photographic educator, Realtor and Mortgage Professional living in Kelowna, BC, Canada. Menopause hit early at 45 (due to a hysterectomy at 29), and she has been suffering severely ever since. The shut down brought a 30lb weight gain in five months, and it took almost 10 months to finally lose it all again, and learn how to wade the waters of weight loss with hypothyroidism, fatty liver disease, and severe back pain. Her search for answers finally led her to learn how nutrition, intermittent fasting and strength training were the tools she needed to use for this very specific and challenging time in a woman's life.
All of us started out whole, we were not born with insecurities, low self esteem and self sabotaging. Do you remember when you were a little girl and you had a vivacious spirit? You were fearless.
What happened? We were not on the same road, but we ended up in the same place, sitting in silence and shame, filled with self doubt, fear and anxiety.
Somewhere along our journey our spirit was crushed, broken into 1000 pieces. Innocence was stolen, hearts broken, lives forever changed. We became the objects of others. We became inferior to other girls, we worried about fitting in. We worried about being laughed at, or having a date for the prom. Why does your worth come from whether or not we have a date for the prom? Since when do we need to look outside of ourselves for validation and worth? How did that happen? Why aren't you enough?
It’s time to have a life review and reset how you feel about yourself and your past. It’s time to Free Yourself from the past and change the relationship you have with yourself.

Welcome to Season 2 Episode 1 my friends! Today I have an inspiring and nourishing conversation with Alyssa Rosenheck, Best Selling author of The New Southern Style and celebrated Interiors and Architectural photographer. In this conversation you will learn how to check in with yourself everyday, understand where your choices coming from and how to start saying YES to YOU! As Alyssa puts it, "Say yes to you 1st, when you do the world will meet you where you are at." You are going to love this conversation!
Today’s Podcast is one that everyone listening will be able to learn from and walk away with a new perspective. Have you ever experienced someone who is hateful and mean spirited? Have you ever wondered why some people are so very cruel and ugly with their words and thoughts? I know I have and I am sure you have too. I want to share with you the importance of guarding what you allow to take up camp in your heart. Do you know that whatever is on the inside (whatever fills your heart) eventually spills to the outside. So basically if your heart is filled with hate or resentment, that is what you will put out into the world. And oftentimes doing damage to the people we love the most. Here are 4 emotions to watch for: Guilt, Anger, Greed and Jealousy.
So you want to lose weight, Why? To look good for an upcoming reunion or you have an event to attend, is that your why? If that is your answer I have some bad news for you. That is not a reason worth sustaining. Once the event is over so is your incentive and I predict the weight lost will find you once again. Your why needs to be deeper, bigger than you. What if your why is you are becoming a Grandparent for the first time and you want to be there for your Grandchildren? Now that is a WHY! In this episode I will share with you a sustainable EASY health plan, that when followed you WILL have results. Long term results that will help you create a healthy relationship with food for a lifetime. Email me at pamelajean.anewlife@gmail.com if you would like more information.
When negative thoughts get into your mind, those thoughts will result in negative actions. What you think WILL dictate what you will do. The key to overcoming is to take your thoughts captive.
Negative thoughts are a stronghold that are powerful and become entrenched into our mind. They become a false reality. They become entrenched and stuck in a rut. Think about it this way, when you are driving down a dirt road (yes I grew up in the country in Iowa, we had dirt roads) and the wheels of your car get stuck in a rut in the road caused by heaving rain, it’s hard to get the tires out of the rut. It takes patience, steady hands on the steering wheel and you have to slowly steer yourself out of the rut.
Mental ruts are the same. You have bought into a lie. You believe your situation is hopeless, you believe you are a victim of circumstance. You are what your thoughts say you are.
You are controlled by fear or shame, or guilt, or with the notion that nothing will ever change and so on.
Nobody likes to cry, especially in front of others. Crying makes you feel vulnerable, weak and needy. No one wants to be thought of as needy or extra. I want to talk to you today about the benefits of having a good hard ugly cry! In fact you will see the benefits are so valuable and transformative. YES a good cry can be steps to transforming your life!
You get to decide what trauma takes from you. Don't give the experience any more than what it already has taken from you. Stay strong in knowing that you can overcome. You are in control! The more you face your trauma, face the things that haunt you, tell your story, the less power the trauma has. Seek out your power in the situation. What were you meant to learn through the trauma? Take what you were meant to learn and make it your purpose. Your purpose is to impact lives around you. Life is hard. Truly everyone experiences hard times. But you are meant to learn and grow through them. The biggest lessons are in the messiest moments.
If we sat in waiting...we would never choose happiness. Life is FULL of disruptions. Every single day we are faced with obstacles. We may have a plan for the day, but it doesn’t happen because things come up that are out of our control and we are interrupted with day to day issues. Some things are small and annoying, like you spilled coffee on your white pants as you headed out the door. Or one of you kids got sick in your car on the way to school. Other interruptions are life altering and shattering. You or a family member get a cancer diagnosis. You find out your spouse has been unfaithful. You are let go from your job. Whew, those are big and heavy! Definitely the life altering and shattering moments.
When are you going to make the decision to change your life?
We ALL have been at that crossroad. Some of you listening are at the cross road right now. It’s not necessarily a fun place to be. But it is necessary for us to answer the question….WHEN is WHEN?
I don’t want you to think you have to make a giant radical decision, but the most important choice you can make is small changes. Small changes over time, turn into BIG changes. Now some of you might be thinking, but I don’t even know what to do or where to start. YES you do. Stop being lazy, stop thinking like you are a victim of your life and think about it.
Getting to the source of the self doubt pattern is important. Perhaps when you were in elementary school the kids in class laughed at you when you answered a question wrong. Leaving you feeling dumb and inadequate. Or maybe you were bullied at school for the clothes you wore. Making you want to be unnoticed and unseen. You may have been a product of abuse and trauma, resulting in painful and chronic self doubt. It’s important to understand where your self doubt came from, but more importantly, understand that you CAN overcome Self Doubt.

My goal with this podcast is to give you some tips and guidance to stay in the marriage and still thrive as a person. Get ready for the Mental Olympics, because you are in a tough situation. You are not selfish for wanting out of a toxic relationship! Take a listen and start taking your power back!
Detoxing from a toxic relationship is HARD. Period, it is hard. At the beginning of the relationship you were his EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. You were made to feel like the most important person in the world. You were special. YOU were not like any other person they had ever been with. You were a dream come true. And then you were hooked. You were hook line and sinker, in over your head in a relationship with a narcissist. Once he’s “got you” his efforts change, the facade begins to show cracks. He begins to show you sides of himself that you have never seen before, but in reality were attributes that were just below the surface. Today's episode will give you a place to start in the detoxing process.
Every problem in life can teach you something, but you have to be willing to seek the lesson each time a problem arises. The more you understand the purpose in your past, the less power the past will have over you. You are more than your circumstances! You are more than the things in life that happened to you. It's time to stop thinking like a victim, start thinking like a survivor and start living like a THRIVER! YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS!

Do you feel like you are on an emotional roller coaster? You start out your day feeling great and ready to conquer. But then, out of no where something happens and the downward turn happens with a vengeance. In this Episode, I will talk about recognizing what Triggers the downturn. You start with a negative Emotional Response and track down the "thing" that Triggered the Emotional Response, then with great intention you change your Physical Action to a positive activity to divert the downward spiral.
For instance, (A Trigger) a family member has said something that hurt your feelings. (Emotional Response) you feel like an unloved loser. (Physical Action) you open a bottle of wine and drink the whole thing to drown out the pain or the hurt feelings. Instead of self sabotaging with the bottle of wine, remove yourself from your current environment and go for a walk or a drive. Hit a reset button if you will, instead of make a destructive Physical Action.
