The concert
Expect family favourite carols, seasonal choral music, literary readings, and hear for the first time a new carol commissioned especially for this event by the internationally renowned composer John Rutter. This new composition will be premiered on the night of the concert and performed by the beautiful voices of the Oxford Bach Soloists.
Listen out for stories from Macmillan nurses, and a few surprise guests for their own personal accounts of what Macmillan means to them.
Listen to enjoy the voices of Mary Berry, Toby Jones, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Aimee Lou Wood bringing your favourite Christmas pieces to life, and captivating performances from the Oxford Bach Soloists singing some of the nation’s most popular Christmas music.
You can't possibly fail to be moved upon hearing the spine tingling notes of Once In Royal David’s City sung by one of Christ Church Cathedral’s choristers, so whatever your plans are this Christmas, press play for that guaranteed festive feeling!
