Luke 22:1-23
Reflect
Jesus was having a final meal with those who were closest to Him. It was the Jewish holy time of Passover, which included the sacrifice of a lamb for the forgiveness of sins. As Jesus broke the bread, what did He predict would happen to His body? Likewise, as Jesus passed the cup of wine, what did He say was required to seal God's new covenant with us? How does this demonstrate His great love for us?
Are you ready to become a part of the next generation of leaders? Are you ready to rise above the status quo?! Listen up!

Matthew 20:29-34

In the time of Jesus, blindness almost always doomed the blind person to a life of begging. What did the blind men do when they heard that Jesus was coming? How did the crowd respond? How did the blind men react? What does this say about their faith? What did Jesus do? What did the men do after they were healed? How do we react when God does a miracle in our lives?
Respond
Lord Jesus, open my eyes to see You today, and help me to faithfully follow You. Amen.
Day 08: Field Rations
Pray
Lord God, quiet my soul and open my mind and heart to receive Your Word. Amen.

Mark 6:30-44
Reflect
The crowd that came to hear Jesus stayed longer than they expected. How did the disciples respond to the hungry people? How did Jesus respond? Why do you think this story was important enough to be recorded in all four of the Gospels? What does this teach us about God's love for us?
Respond
My God, thank you for supplying all my needs. Whatever my circumstance, help me to always trust You. Amen.
Day 07: Divine Medevac
Pray
Lord God, quiet my soul and open my mind and heart to receive Your Word. Amen.

Luke 7:1-10
Reflect
A centurion was a senior member of the Roman Army who commanded a hundred Soldiers. Today, he would have held the approximate rank of a senior Non-Commissioned Officer. Why did the centurion come to Jesus? What evidence is given that this soldier demonstrated care for others rather than just talk about it? How did the centurion show he understood that Jesus is a Commander and has divine authority and power? What was Jesus' reaction? How are we allowing Jesus to be the Commander of our lives, so He may demonstrate His power and authority?
Respond
Lord Jesus, I trust you completely. Help me to love others as You have loved me. Amen.

Mark 4:35-41
Reflect
The disciples were experts at sailing, and they knew these waters well. Why then were they so frightened? How did they talk to Jesus? What did Jesus do? When bad things happen in our lives, how do we respond? Do we turn to God? What does this passage teach us about how much God cares for us and how He is more powerful than our problems?

Matthew 5:1-48
Reflect
This reading is only the beginning of Jesus' sermon. Feel free to read the rest as it continues into the 6th and 7th chapters of Matthew. It does not take long to read. Looking at chapter 5, what characteristics does Jesus say His followers should demonstrate? How well do these describe you?
Respond
My Lord, when others look upon me today, let them see You. Amen.
Read
Luke 5:1-11
Reflect
The word 'apostle' means 'one sent out with a specific mission.' In selecting those who will carry His message to the world, Jesus chose twelve men, several of whom were common fishermen. Why? What did He expect these apostles to do? What do you think He expects of us?
Respond
Lord Jesus, I am ready to obey Your orders. Let me share with others today just what You mean to me. Amen.

Luke 4:1-13
Reflect
Who was leading Jesus, in the wilderness, during His forty days of not eating? Why did Jesus have to go into the wilderness? The three temptations offered by the devil each address a different area: hunger, power, and a dare. What did Jesus do to respond to each of these? What can we do when we are tempted?
Respond
My Lord, I am tired of chasing after the world. Help me to follow hard after You. Amen.
Day 02: The Commissioning
Pray
Lord God, quiet my soul and open my mind and heart to receive Your Word. Amen.

Matthew 3:1-17
Reflect
Jesus was the cousin of John the Baptist. For John, baptism signified a turning from sin and turning to God. Why do you think that John the Baptist was uncomfortable baptizing Jesus? Why did Jesus insist on the baptism? How did God the Father show His pleasure? How does God show His pleasure to us when we obey Him today?

The birth of Jesus, the Son of God, was both miraculous and humble. What does it say about Jesus that he was born a commoner, yet his birth merited a concert by heavenly angels? If you were one of the shepherds, what would you have thought about all you had seen and heard? How does the good news of Jesus' birth affect your life today?

If you see something or hear something, say something. The warning signs are serious; even if it doesn’t seem like it at the time.
Time to get real: SHOWER!!!!!! Brush yo teeth, do your laundry, workout, make yourself feel better.
I recently lost my Tio Guero and I wanted to talk about the impact he had in my life growing up. He deserves to be recognized and y’all deserve an explanation on why I haven’t been doing these episodes.
Words are powerful, they can be used for building people up and encouraging them; or they can be used for detrimental purposes and tear lives apart.
What kind of father will you be the kind that keeps procrastinating and at the end of the day will end up having to scramble to pick up the pieces or will you be the kind of father that captures as many moments as possible?
Do not allow your past to pre-determine the outcome of your future relationships; that includes your children.
Pre plan how best to take care of your significant other while she is pregnant and how you can help her after the baby has arrived.
We need to get out of the mindset that we didn’t know it was our job to raise our children in the right way and just start making the necessary changes every day to get to where we need to be so that our children can get to where they eventually need to be as well.
We have to begin to take the necessary steps in parenthood to make sure that we are sane enough to take care of our children and keep our other relationships healthy as well.
Imagine two sides of the coin, you can either be your kids Hero, or your kids villain. The choice is yours, the real question here is which one do you choose?
You’re not The only one to get super pissed off with your kids or deal with certain long-term emotions or thoughts that could end up being catastrophic. In life, we tend to bring a lot of baggage into parenthood and we need to deal with it head on and stop trying to beat around the bush or walk on eggshells and just not deal with our issues.
Listen for the explanation, and know this: Parenthood is NOT for the faint of heart, so if you’re doing the damned thing, continue the good fight!
Like Drake says, “fuck a fake friend, where your real friends at?” I’m asking y’all where’s your real friends at? In this episode you’ll hear about when to be 100% vulnerable in a friendship and when it’s OK to share your story!
How to smell BS from a mile away and how to know when it’s time to cut a friendship loose.
Last week we talked about bad habits us men need to tear down in our lives so we would be ready to hear about the good ones we need to cultivate this new year! Hopefully ya'll found this episode useful and encouraging, I know I talk a lot about some touchy subjects that aren't easy to hear so I thank you in advance for listening in!
It's literally in the title of the episode: Bad Habits Us Men Need to Break!
