Today on the podcast, I'm going to conclude our conversation with Dr. Eboni Webb.  Dr. Webb is a trauma-informed therapist who started a practice in Middle Tennessee called the Village of Kairos.  On the last podcast, we learned some of her family story and the inspiration she personally has from a 2nd cousin who was one of the Little Rock 9 who were the first to integrate the public schools in Little Rock, Arkansas.

If you didn’t hear that conversation, make sure to go back and listen to it.

As our conversation continued, Dr. Webb said the recent stories we’ve seen in the news of racial incidents being caught on smart phones are following the tradition of technology capturing the stories of our collective national trauma.

Today on the podcast I have a special guest who is here to share her expertise as a trauma-based therapist.  Dr. Eboni Webb started the private practice in the village of Kairos in July of 2010.  She has assembled a team of therapists who offer restorative services, including individual and group therapy sessions for adolescents, parents, families and adults.

Dr. Webb earned her doctorate of clinical psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology.  She began her clinical work as assistant clinical director and program director at mental health systems in Minnesota, specializing in dialectical behavior therapy.

Currently, her practice has two locations in the middle Tennessee area and she has done recent research around the topic of understanding racism through the lens of different generational contexts.

She's excited to bring her findings to our audience to give parents tools to better connect with their kids.
