The podcast for current and former athletes who don't want to settle for just average and are consistently striving to explore what they're capable of and be the very best version of themselves. As a current athlete you are constantly looking for that 1% to bulletproof your mind and body, supercharge your energy and build unstoppable confidence and performance to be the best competitor you can be.
As a former athlete you want to regain that bulletproof mind and body, supercharge your energy towards what matters now and build unstoppable confidence now your sport is gone for whatever reason. This show is dedicated to you, and you'll learn everything you need to know to be the very best version of yourself.
My name is Michael Upton. After 10 years as a professional athlete and now an Exercise Physiologist I have attained extensive knowledge in strength and conditioning, injury prevention, chronic pain, nutrition and mindset.
I'll be providing you with all of the necessary tools that you need to be the very best version of yourself as a current or former athlete or someone who just wants to explore what they're capable of and be the very best version of themselves.

I heard this from a BJJ practitioner. He spoke about the difference between losing and being defeated. Our ability to understand we are going to lose but the difference is that we're not defeated unless you allow it.
We all preach consistency but what is consistency? what is your consistency? your consistency is going to be different to mine.
In this episode I talk about something I have injected into my own morning routine but also the guys and girls inside of the HPA.
This is something I wish I did earlier in my career to put myself in a proactive state rather than a reactive state.

In this episode I spoke about my own experience of having an identity crisis and how it shaped who I am today.
It is something I truly believe every current and former athlete or highly driven individuals go through but our ability to raise that self-awareness around this topic will dictate our behaviours, standards and results going forward.
