A Magic: The Gathering podcast that centers itself around the EDH format while providing relevant financial information. Each week we try to discuss some of the more nuanced aspects of commander while also spotlighting specific cards that have financial relevance.
We're back! Sorry for the break in episodes. We quickly discuss mystery boosters among other things. Usual pick of the week, and discussion on how standard sets are doing over all. We also discuss a little bit of Forgotten Realms.
This week we're back talking about some of the mechanics we dislike in MTG. We also cover some of the new things being brought to Arena. We take a bit of a trip down memory lane discussing some of the things we love and hate about Magic, and as always we have some great picks this week to consider. This week Chris, Collin, and Ray discuss a few of the prices of AFR and how the set seems relatively lackluster as far as prices go. We also throw around a few ideas for future episodes and as always some interesting picks of the week. Also discussion on recently banned cards. (yes we all know hullbreacher did nothing wrong!)

Roger's MIA in the digital realm playing the new digimon TCG so we're joined by the great Collin who gives some valid insight on the new set. This week we have a short discussion on how we approach deck building. Some people prefer netdecking and others prefer magical Christmas combos while the only guaranteed piece of advice everyone agrees on is that if you're not using edhrec you're doing it wrong. Some solid picks of the week are served up as we close out early to give time to recover from the 4th of July festivities.
New week new episode! We break down the modern meta game, and discuss how some of these cards will handle financially. There's also a little preemptive discussion on the Forgotten Realms set. It's a short episode as we all try to beat the heat wave hitting the PNW.
This week we spend some time discussing the new summer secret lair, and the MH2 cool down (it still has room to drop!) We also go over how each of us approaches the idea of selling magic cards, and whether or not buying and selling to a friendly game shop will be the same after the pandemic ends. Back in full force... Mostly. The gang gets together to discuss Modern Horizons 2 and some of the cards they're excited to see enter the format. Now that spoiler season is wrapping up there's some interesting discussion on how we feel both commander and modern will change in the near future.
Another week another episode! This week the guys discuss early MH2 spoilers and even earlier D&D cards coming to magic. Are sets being released too frequently? Probably. Will that stop us from wasting our money on them? Most definitely not. There's some genuine discussion on how much product is too much, and how it can be annoying to open 5 different printings of the same card.

Chris pulls what might be the single most expensive card anyone on the cast has ever opened. What happens when you open obscure pseudo misprints worth more than your average dual land? You ship it half way across the world for a buylist! This episode discuses the situation behind safely maximizing the value of your pulls even when you don't know what you have. We also talk about the social side of EDH, and the feel bads of playing with unpleasant people.
In this episode we talk about making common sense plays, and how these plays can be entirely different in one format versus another. The cast also discuses a future C21 league, and what our initial thoughts are for Modern Horizons 2.
In this episode Adam graces us with his presence, and we discuss some of the cards that caught our eye in Strixhaven. Some rather pricey picks of the week are discussed, and we go over how to approach card purchases in the wake of potential reprints. Chris brings to light an interesting cycle he's noticed in the cadence of cards being reprinted in different sets.
Our very first episode. Base introduction, small EDH discussions, and a little bit of insight as to why we enjoy magic in general. Constructive criticism always welcome, but understand this episode was left with zero editing in order to serve as a gauge for future growth.
