Understanding individualism:

→ Definition for Individualism: the habit or principle of being independent and self-reliant.

Passage of the day: Galatians 2: 11-21 --> Paul Opposes Cephas

Having a sense of personal relationship with God is important: (1 Peter 5: 6-7) (John 14:23) (Isaiah 40:31)

Imagine if Paul let Peter slide with behavior. Not only would Galatians look different, but the entire gospel might look different too. WILD.

God Is Perfect. (Psalm 18:30) (James 3:2) (1 Peter 2:22) (Luke 4:1-13)

Here’s what to do and not to do:

→ Study the written word! And when I mean study, I don’t mean just read it. I mean do research on what you are reading. KNOW WHAT YOU BELIEVE. The following links are some helpful links to help you study:

>> I understand it can be hard to study.

→ Audio Bible https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fatowl.audiobible&hl=en_US≷=US

→ STOP USING other people as your means of FAITH. If you do too much of this, the enemy will try to turn you away from God. (1 Corinthians 2:14) (John 6:64-69) (2 Peter 2:20-22)

→ God is all-knowing. And He's all-knowing about us! He created us, and He knows everything about us! He knows our thoughts, our past, every little freckle on our bodies. Of course it's natural to confide in humans, but God truly knows our needs and offers perfect love! (Psalm 139)

>> Fellow Believers and ex-church goers alike, here me when I say this: Run to Father! He awaits you with OPEN ARMS! (Luke 15: 11-12)

>>Fellow nonbelievers: If you’ve never REALLY had a relationship with Jesus, and you’re ready to have one today, remember these verses: (Luke 15:3-7)(2 Peter 3:9)

Here is a sinners prayer to help you get started:

Sinner’s prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.

→ Pray without seizing, and do it in private (1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18)

Takeaway:

What I am not saying:

→ I am not saying don’t embrace community with fellow believers (Acts 4:32-35)(Proverbs 27:17)(Romans 12:4-5)

→ I am not saying don’t listen to wise counsel when necessary (Proverbs 12:15)(Proverbs 11:14)(Proverbs 15:22)

What I am saying:

→ Don’t solely rely on people's interpretation of scripture, read and explore it yourself!

→ And your faith isn't in other people; it's in God. Just because you hang out with Christian friends or go to church doesn't mean you believe in Jesus. Also, remember your relationship with the Holy Spirit (John 14:16)

→ Accountability is also important (Hebrews 10:25)
