We have been hearing so much about R.W. Roberto M. Sanchez, but who is the man behind the , who is the man spilling all the “Tea”?

Brother Sanchez is an accomplished academic with 5 degrees including a Doctorate of Divinity and Theology, and an MBA with a concentration in Leadership. Brother Sanchez is also an Ordained Minister, an apostolic Priest, and Bishop of different catholic lineages. He is a regulatory consultant for the Rail industry by trade. He is a family man and proud father of a daughter and son whom he raises with his wife – a native Texan.Masonically, R.W. Sanchez’s resume makes me feel like I'm standing still. He is a Past Grand Master and the sitting Grand Chancellor for the Gran Logis del Estado de Mexico. He is the sitting Grand Generalissimo of the Grand Commandery of Hawaii, He is the sitting Grand Conductor of the Council of the Grand Council of Texas R. &S.M., He is the 1st Vice President of High Twelve International, He is the Most Eminent Grand Master of the Royal Order of Knights Occidental, He is the Grand Bung of the Americas of Ye Antient Order of Corks, He is the Grand 2nd Herald for the National High Council of the SRICF. He is the Grand Commander for the Adonhiramite Rite, the Brazilian Rite, and the French Rite for North America. In Texas, he is a Past Master of 3 different lodges, served as DDGM in 2013, served on the Fraternal Relations Committee for a 7-year term, and is the Grand Representative for the Grand Lodge of Sweden near the Grand Lodge of Texas. And about 20 other pages worth of accolades and honors.

We often see Masonic Lodges advancing officers each year like they're playing a game of musical chairs and often without much regard to the leadership capabilities of the brethren. Â
Many lodges (and masons) seem to think that putting Past Masters in any office, especially serving as Worshipful Master again, is a sign of an unhealthy lodge. Â
This creates somewhat of a paradox where we have two mindsets that seem to contradict each other. On one hand we want to keep advancing everyone through the chairs but on the other hand, we become distraught when we have nobody but Past Masters to take an office.

If your Masonic lodge is having issues with membership retention then it may be worth considering how many lodges approached membership in the past. Â
Freemasonry in the USA has been losing members for a few decades now and many jurisdictions have tried various approaches to help alleviate the problem.Â
Some approaches include one-day classes, open houses, reducing the proficiencies, low dues, and even advertising yet the problem still remains.
The more transparent and mundane we try to make ourselves appear the less attractive we are actually making our fraternity. This is because it is the things that separate us from other organizations, not the things we try to have in common, that make us appealing to many interested men.Â

Is Freemasonry still relevant in 2021? Â
In a world where everything comes fast, easy, and cheap and quality has long been overshadowed by sheer quantity the answer is a resounding "yes". Â In fact, authentic Freemasonry is more relevant now than ever. Â
Join me as I discuss how Freemasonry offers something that can't be found anywhere else. I also talk about how what makes us the most unique is what makes us the most relevant, and how important it is that we re-evaluate our common practices which are taking us in the wrong direction. Â

Is Freemasonry too easy to join?
Freemasonry isn't for everybody. Our rituals, catechisms, monitors, and even our investigation processes explain the qualities we should look for in new members.
Yet, we continue to lower our standards, rush the investigation process, and hope that we can eventually get enough dues paying members to fill the lodge and return to our Glory Days.
But at what cost?

Your dues are too low.
Freemasonry isn't a service club and our primary focus shouldn't be fundraising, however this is the model for the majority of US lodges.
As men, we should be willing to invest in ourselves and cover our own costs for the things that are important to us. Fundraisers have become a crutch that we rely on too heavily to pay the bills and maintain our low dues.
The bottom line is that dues should be set high enough to cover the operating cost of your lodge.
This allows the lodge to worry less about fundraising and get back to the business of Freemasonry.

Freemasonry is in decline because of generational differences.
I strongly believe that generally speaking, what many Grand Lodges (and lodges) assume Millennial masons want does not reflect what we actually expect and desire from Freemasonry. Â
We live in a world of instant gratification, participation trophies, and cheap products. I believe that it's human nature to seek out things that are meaningful and impactful with substance and history like Freemasonry does.Â
I think Millennials actually appreciate a respite from the fast-paced world and take great pride in being a part of something that they put time and effort into achieving. Â Ever since I've joined the fraternity, I've constantly heard what my generation wants from our fraternity by older members but how many of my Millennial brethren have actually been asked what we want? If we don't have data then we are making decisions about the future of our fraternity based on assumptions.
This episode is a compilation of three Youtube videos of mine, which addresses how and why, generally speaking, Boomers have different expectations out of Freemasonry and Millennials. In the third section of this episode, I cover how Millennial Freemasons can be retained.

Shortly after I became a Master Mason, I came to the realization that Freemasonry was NOT the type of organization that I thought I had joined.
I was expecting something deep, meaningful, and important...but all that I found were mundane business meetings and fundraisers.
Convinced that I fell for a 'bait and switch', I left the fraternity with no intention of ever returning.
