The Perfectly Messy Mum

Kylie Morris talks with real mums about the real sh*t that goes on behind the smiles, the insta pics, the facebook highlights.

We live in a world where it feels safer to appear like we have it all together but what we actually need is open and honest conversations around the juggle of all things parenting, work, family, self care, exercise, you name it.

No one is perfect. In fact perfection doesn't exist. Striving for it or pretending to be it is what costs us joy.

My daughter Kirra joins me to talk about the disappointment that's looming around her 16th birthday celebrations given we are in a state lockdown along with how challenging home schooling has been.

It's been a very tough time for many and understanding how it feels from a teens perspective is so good to know.

Straight up I will tell you that you NEED to forgive the quality of the recording because Richa offers incredible wisdom around Love, Life, Sex, Self Pleasure, Breath and so much more and it's a MUST hear for all women.

It's so refreshing to talk so openly about our wants and needs as a woman. To not feel shame around self pleasure and sex.

When we give ourselves permission to drop the armour and speak from our truth, deep connection and awareness happens, our world opens and lights up and we are able to work through past trauma to feel more joy.

Mumma, are you burning the candle at both ends? Does cleaning your home bring anxiety, frustration, guilt or sadness because you simply haven't the time nor energy to put into it?

Does it steal precious time you'd rather spend with your family or on yourself?

It's time to let your pride step aside and hire people to help you.

Seeking help isn't embarrassing or a failure on your part, it's a necessity to find your balance so you don't miss out on the fun side of life.

I'm joined by Tennille McEwan, a Mum who experienced multiple miscarriages before finally having her little boy.

In this episode you will hear what it's like to be an older mum and feeling the pressures from self and others on having a baby, how peoples 'kind' words can be painful and how dealing with grief can stop you from celebrating.

It's an important subject and one that needs to be heard.

Tennille mentions The Pink Elephants Support Network. For more information visit their website at https://www.pinkelephants.org.au

From that personal decision she completely transformed her body and mindset, shedding the weight she had carried all of her life and now living her best life with 2 daughters under the age of 3 and her hubby.

The moment I decided that Yes was going to be my first answer rather than the safer default No, my life became more exciting and saying yes to things became easier.

My wish for Mumma's is that they say Yes more than No, especially to things for themselves.
