We discover some more about Amir’s tendency to disappoint. We also will meet a new boy, the child of Hassan, in the epic finale of The Kite Runner podcasts.
This was quite a long episode, but I covered a significant portion of the book since creating this podcast, so there was quite a bit to say. As the title suggests, this book gets quite depressing at times. I hope that Amir comes to terms with his mistakes and understands that maybe these things happened for a reason: so he could learn and better himself as a result.
On today’s episode of Nick Needs Novels, we dive deep back into The Kite Runner by Khalid Hosseini to explore how Amir and his father treat their new life in America. There are definitely lots of things happening in this episode, so don’t miss out!
In the 3rd installment of The Kite Runner podcasts, I go over how tragic and grim Amir’s transition to Pakistan and eventually America is. The tone shifted so quickly that it caught me by surprise.
In this short segment I discuss Amir and how much of a bad person he is starting to become. I don’t like him. Not at all.
On this first episode of Nick Needs Novels I go into detail about why The Kite Runner doesn’t do it for me in it’s first 58 pages. It just doesn’t seem to cut it at all. I pray that it gets better in some way or shape.
