In celebration of the 450th foundation year of the city of Manila, several heritage sites in Manila will be highlighted in songs that have been written about these specific places. Through these songs, comparisons will be drawn between the “before” and the “now”.

The music will be interspersed with interviews with personages associated with the songs, the historical significances of the sites mentioned by a heritage advocate, and the intended meanings of the lyrics and the underlying motifs of the music. The narrative development commences in early music compositions and ends with present day sites.

This production is a collaborative endeavor of the Heritage Conservation Society, OPM Archive, Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-Aawit and PHILPOP. The podcast is hosted by Chevy Salvador and Krina Cayabyab.
