One of the skills learners, students, researchers and every one involved in any form of mental work need to develop and master in the ability to keep their attention and focus per time on the task at hand. The Pomodoro technique, developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s has been used by many to improve attention span, focus and results.
In this episode, I provided step by step guidance on how to apply this technique to study effectively using the technique.
I hope you find the suggestions helpful.

Sparing yourself now will have grave repercussions later if it is not nipped in the bud. Sparing yourself will put a limit to the expression of your talents, skills and abilities. It will reduce what/who you are supposed to become as you progress into the future. It has the tendency of bringing regret later especially when you see people who are not as gifted as you doing more or having more than you. It will also make a mediocre out of you eventually.

Psychologists place excuse-making in the ‘self-handicapping’ category that is, it’s a behavior or habit we express that hurts our own performance and motivation. The question to ask ourselves is, “Why do we often make excuses whenever we encounter a difficult challenge or obstacle as we purse our goals?”

Having a good intention of what you want to do or accomplish is great but it is not enough.
Your intentions are not known or seen by anyone, it is what you do with the intentions that people reckon with and that is what brings the joy of accomplishment.
As the year 2020 gradually wraps up and we look forward to 2021 make plans to ensure you act on your positive intentions.
On this episode, I emphasised why it is important to have more than intentions in your pursuit to be a highflyer.
