Episode four introduces the discussion about study abroad opportunities and the role of the Office of International Education at IUP. Guests of the show feature Dr. Jessica Mulvihill, Director of the OIE office. Dr. Mulvihill, is a native of Indiana. She received her B.S. in French Education from IUP and her M.A. in Foreign Languages from West Virginia University. Both of these degrees gave her the opportunity to study, work, teach, and live in France. Having had great experiences as a student, Jessica fully understands the academic value and life-changing experiences that studying abroad can offer. She earned her doctoral degree in Administration and Leadership Studies at IUP. She is a Co-founder and Co-Chair of the Greater Pittsburgh Area LFA Conference: Three Rivers. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Administration and Leadership Studies at IUP. Her Education Abroad research areas include: Reverse culture shock, mental health abroad, personality studies and Systems Thinking. She enjoys making the most of her passport, reading, cooking, eating, flying, and spending time with her husband and sons, Luke, Harlan & Teddy.
Episode three brings an interview between Student Government and Dr. Michael Driscoll; the president of IUP. In this episode, we were excited to learn more about Dr. Driscolls responsibilities as the University president, accomplishments, goals, and new information about the upcoming Fall 2021 semester.
Episode two introduces the discussion about Mental Health Resources and Counseling at IUP. Guests of the show feature Susan Graham, Clinical Case Manager at IUP.As IUP clinical case manager, Graham is located in the Counseling Center and works closely with the Counseling Center faculty. She supports and assists students as they receive university services, such as the Haven Project, CART, ASC@IUP, academic offices, as well as community agencies that provide extended care and social services.
