In this series, we’ll talk about several topics that include the effects of COVID on mental health, physical health, and treatment access, as well as additional topics such as financial stability and resource availability.

For this week, we discuss all the remaining topics that you think we might have missed. Likely, you thought about how COVID has affected pregnant women's financial statuses or their access to healthcare resources. We cover how financial stability has affected their ability to maintain physical activity as well as their opportunities to receive healthcare services. We uncovered a little bit about the racial and ethnic disparities that are present for pregnant mothers, especially for Black pregnant mothers. Listen to the specific stats and the experiences that pregnant women are facing beyond their mental and physical health. At this point, you probably start to see how everything is interconnected. In this episode, we had a special guest, Kristin, who is Jamie's former co-worker, and soon-to-be mother with her first child. She shares her story and experiences regarding her overall pregnancy experience, reflecting the content from the last two episodes - mental and physical health.
