Our bodies are temples (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). When you think about it that way, it’s hard to justify mistreating it as we often do. It is so valuable to take good care of your temple so that you can best live out your God-given purpose on this earth. My relationship with fitness, food, and myself when I started to shift my mindset. Less about myself and more about my why! God calls us to take care of our bodies. That means what we put into our bodies, how we treat our bodies, and the relationship we have in regards to our self-image. If you struggle with this, study scripture that help you to shift your mindset!

When the structure isn't firm and the orderer isn't correct, everything will eventually come crumbling down. Thank God He can restore broken things and re-establish the correct order built on a solid firm foundation. No matter the amount of success, goals, and dreams we chase, when things are out of order, there's only temporary celebration. Tonight, we talk about how we had things out of order, the crash, and rebuilding God did in our household, challenges, and more!

YOU BELONG HERE.I wrote at the top of my notebook page as I waited outside the "Zoom Room" to meet virtually with women for the biggest conference I've spoke at. I traced it over and over, then underlined it as I sat there waiting, overthinking, palms sweating, heart racing. The zoom opened and I joined 6 incredible women with a ton of accomplishments and credentials... and as the speaker intro began, God shrank my insecurities and reaffirmed that He put me exactly where I was supposed to be.You're reading this today questioning this very thing.DO I BELONG HERE? Females struggle to feel like they belong even when it comes o family and friends. We let our own securities pull us away from the fellowship and relationships God calls us too. The devil knows our weaknesses and he loves to use it! How do you know the difference? I can describe it for me as an excitement and desire, a passion I feel until the devil starts to whisper all my insecurities in my ear trying to get me to self- sabotage what God has planned for me.Maybe you're getting ready for your spouses' work dinner and you're ripping yourself apart for how you look. You're overthinking the conversations you'll have. You're feeling alone and uncomfortable before you even pull out the curling iron.Repeat it "I belong here!"Maybe you're questioning if you're worthy enough for that Bible Study you just signed up for. Will they judge me if I open up? What if I say the wrong thing? What if I'm TOO vulnerable?Repeat it "I belong here!"You were invited to an event of successful women. You're comparing your story, your credentials, your experience to every female you know attends. You're convinced your invitation was a fluke or someone else canceled.Repeat it "I belong here!"and maybe you've changed clothes 50 times until you've convinced yourself you have nothing to wear so you definitely are not supposed to be in attendance. You're questioning being over dressed, underdressed. You're worried about what Karen will whisper to Gretchen when you walk in the room. I would tell you not to care what anyone thinks (famous words from my husband) but...Repeat it "I belong here!"Maybe it's a job, an event, an opportunity, a goal... I think as females, we experience "I DON'T BELONG" syndrome every time we go to step outside our comfort zone. I know I do. I've spent a good portion of my life trying to silence the voices in my head telling me:You don't belongYou're not good enoughYou're not qualified enoughYou're not worthyYou're not pretty enough You're not smart enoughYou're too oldYou're too youngYou're a female And I can tell you all day long that you are enough, you do belong, but until you become so focused on what God says and has in store for you, the devil will always be in your ear. My strength comes from Jesus to say "YES" to things that scare me. The courage to walk into rooms I don't feel like I'm worthy to be in comes from Jesus. I cannot do it on my own. Therefore, I don't think, I just step into it trusting. It becomes less about what I think of myself and more of what HE, who makes us perfect in His Image made me to be. Every single door is an opportunity to make a difference, change a life, leave a mark. So walk into every room knowing that God put you there!YOU BELONG ❤️xoxo, LindseyPS - How do I know if I truly don't belong where I'm at? God gives me such a heavy, burdened heart, or completely removes the desire.

CONFESSION TIME:Literally have moms, women, friends, people on social media walk up to or message me and say “girl, I need you motivation! I am tired!!!! I see you running your business, coaching your kiddos ball teams, training, meal prepping— I wish I had the energy!” If I appear to have my shit together, that’s an illusion…. I felt all fluffy and honored but……. Girl! I feel you! I am tired too! And if you only had a clue! lol Let me ease your mind— yes I’m doing all those things while also making sure prayers are said, kids are dressed and fed. We might be coming into school with a bit of road rage at 7:44 praying there’s a line so Miles isn’t tardy. It’s quite comical because I choose to make or that way! Because THIS IS THE SEASON OF LIFE WE ARE IN! I’ve accepted that! It’s currently March 23rd. I still have Christmas stuff on my kitchen table that we haven’t sat at since Christmas. My temp tags for my car I bought in November (and expired in Feb) just got changed, there’s folded socks on my couch, and I can’t keep the laundry done, Jamie pays someone to clean our house every two weeks because if not, we’d be living in a war zone. So when people are saying these things and I try to tell them I understand, believe me 💯 feel you mom! I’m not downplaying the level pure chaos I experience on the daily. There’s days I’m brushing my shoulder off like a boss and then there’s days I’m talking on my phone while I’m looking for it! Seriously! Most would call this a HOT MESS EXPRESS… I don’t.I do not perceive myself as a hot mess so others don’t know either… ponder on that ❤️ but here’s how I do it!I call it present over perfect.I call it acceptance of what is out of my control without completely stressing myself to the max.I call it embracing the season of life my family is in.I call it the best I can do and then I call it a day, the rest can wait until tomorrow!Decide what’s important and prioritize accordingly!Jesus | Family | Health | WorkSeriously, we have got to stop comparing ourselves to how together other moms or family’s appear! Chapters are never the same, seasons are unique, and nobody is perfect, you’re not failing! Now, give yourself some grace and get your shit done for the day, and tomorrow get back after it again!

Don't reduce your energy to lesser than because of those around you.Don’t shrink your hopes and dreams for those around you that don’t understand.Don’t lower your bar or your standard to fit the “norm”.Don't put yourself into a box.Be YOU! Be unapologetic YOU! Be who God created YOU to be.We should be teaching and setting an example for our daughters of this!Everyone is made and created differently. Some of us are extra and some are quiet. I have come to accept and love the fact that I’m extra, energetic, and vocal. Believe me, there are times that I’m like “why God, why?!Accept those traits, talents, passions about yourself that make you “different”. How boring would it be if we were all the same?!But we get in our own heads and convince ourselves we need to just be sit down and be quiet. Then we start to step back into our box instead of stepping out in faith. We take our talents and bottle it up because who wants to be different from everyone else? Gosh! What will they think of me? Our energy reduces to less, our hopes fade, and we continue living in chaos, exhaustion, searching for more— when God has called us to step up, step out. Set the bar high friends ❤️

I was sitting in church… Well singing and I started looking around thinking, wow, it’s great to see this building fill up again. And then I had a moment of “oh, this is a time to be excessively grateful for who is here this morning and excited for what Gods doing.” I’m working to my more thankful and grateful in 2023 from the biggest to the smallest, to the seen and the overlooked things I take for granted. It requires being conscious of your thoughts and sometimes my brain struggles to even hold a thought. AND THEN… I got to thinking, if everyone sitting there looked around and thought “wow, thank you God for the people that were here” I’ll bet you every seat, every pew would be full, kid city would be full! AND THEN! The pastor started preaching. He said we have to visualize and expect God to move. Could you imagine what every church would look like if we took a moment to be conscious of our thoughts. Become excessively grateful for those around us and then visualize a full church? The message was about revival reaffirming my thoughts were from God and aligned! How amazing are God winks! It all begins when we grow where we are planted and visualize, anticipate, and expect God to show up in a big way, He will!It was an incredible sermon! Im going to share the link on my wall and in the comments!

Self-Love isn’t a new term. Every season, a new set of influencers influence us on how we should be loving ourselves. I am by no means an 'influencer', but I hope and pray that today that influence you in some way with my version of self-love. So let me let you in on a little secret! Self love does not come from the outside in... In fact, you can change everything about you and still find something to grumble about. Self-love comes from the inside out.Until you learn to truly love those things about yourself that make you cringe and cry and throw your clothes out of the closet a rage, you will always be wanting something more. You will never feel like you are enough.Self-affirmation ✅ Mottos ✅ Writing on my mirror ✅Manifesting ✅ All of it worked just enough to give me a boost, but there was still something missing. In fact, the absolute most important piece. EXCESSIVE GRATITUDE TO THE ONE THAT CREATED ME. And realize, He makes no mistakes! Then I became grateful for who I am, how I am, and where I’m at, and how God created me. I found contentment, joy, and ultimately began to truly love me in a non-egotistical (is that EVEN a word?!) manner. I started writing daily Thank you God for…. I learned to thank Him for the things I hated about myself. I thanked Him for the traits I possessed like-- relentlessness, tenacity, etc. When I started to become excessively grateful, my world changed. To whom much is given, much is expected. And He has given me so much! He made me... and YOU unique and beautiful all in our own way. He gave us characteristics and talents nobody else possesses in the same sequence. How AMAZING is that! Let that sink in-- BILLIONS of people in the world and we were created "fearfully and wonderfully" unique. Most of the time we hate those things that are unique or we try to fix it to fit into the norm. We treat them like a plague and we complain about those things. When I changed my mindset to thank God for the things that weren't the norm, the trend, or characteristic traits deemed negative, I learned to love those things AND even use them in a positive way.Learn to love yourself how you are and then the extras are just bonus!I am content in my journey. I’m okay with growing where I am planted. It's easier to work on myself because I love what I'm working with. When people compliment me, I say thank you.I laugh at my failures. I appreciate my flaws. And I love myself! Life is so much more enjoyable for me and everyone around me! When you love the way God created YOU, the world can tell! There are 28 days in February! I dare you to try it and see just how differently you glow come March 1st!

I recorded this episode when everyone was hoarding gas. After I pulled up to the gas pump and witnessed car after car filling up their tank and multiple jugs, I had to roll my eyes, but last year, I was guilty. We need to store up food, water, (not toilet paper in our house), and be prepared, but after my current devotion, I've changed my tune.

It's the study of the Israelites as they wander through the desert. Miracle after miracle, God continuously shows up. Some moments are HUGE like the parting of the Red Sea and then there are the smaller miracles, ya know like just dropping manna from the sky, leading them by fire, and the list goes on and on, but they still choose to worry "What if God doesn't provide..."

Listen, we can kick back and wonder why the Israelites would ever struggle with their faith after witnessing miracle after miracle, but then again looking at all His provided for you and me.

The epiphany moment came when reading Exodus 16-

Verse 17 "So the people of Israel did as they were told. Some gathered a lot, some only a little.

Verse 18 But when they measured it out,[d] everyone had just enough. Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough. Each family had just what it needed."

Look at that! They had EXACTLY what they needed. Unfortunately, this provision wasn't enough. They decided to store up, even though God specifically said not too.

When we try to control the situations, the circumstances, and "store up" more than we need, we aren't trusting God to show up and work miracles.

Look back on all the times God has shown up in your life; trust that He will provide gas, toilet paper, Lysol, or whatever it may be, and then let Him do his thing! Letting go of the things you cannot control and giving it to God is where you'll find contentment and shed the anxiousness.

Maybe you can’t focus.

Maybe you don’t know how or what to even pray about.

You feel like you’ve messed up things too much to even have a conversation with God.

You’re problems seem too small to bother Go with.

You’re problems seem too big and overwhelming to even try to process, let alone pray about.

You don’t know what words to say.

Just going through the motions.

You’re so tired, you fall asleep.

These are all the things I struggle with.

I’ve found myself struggling this week. Of course, I’m listening to my Bible and reading my devotion, but the prayer, for some reason won’t come out. I feel disconnected. I need to just pour it all out right now, but I’m struggling to focus, my mind drifts, and I’m so tired I fall asleep.

Something I discovered a few months ago in a time that I didn’t feel worthy enough to even say the name “Jesus” let alone ask for help, I found that writing my prayer was another way I could connect with Him. I borrowed one of Leighton’s composition notebooks to write my prayer. I could pour out my heart with thankfulness, my pleads, and my request for forgiveness while the tears smeared the ink. Reflecting back on the answered prayers I wrote back in August and September are humbling and a reminder of God’s grace and goodness.

Whatever place you are in right now, don’t let your mind convince you that God doesn’t want to hear from you. However you have to make that happen, make it happen. Don’t lose the connection with the One who is working everything for your good. #thedevildoesntwin https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/thedevildoesntwin?__eep__=6&__tn__=*NK*F

Wake up & Smell the Roses

Getting up early sucks, at least for a while until your body gets adjusted… and then time changes, in what 2 weeks?! Yay! INSERT EYE ROLL. Listen, I got so sick of my own shit that I had to make changes, big changes. I was wearing a whole lot of hats and only doing a half way job at anything. I was tired, stressed, I was staying sick, my body ached constantly, and that’s how I started each and every day, until one day, I woke up and smelled the roses. It was time to either change my habits or accept the fact that I was just going to be sick and tired of being sick and tired until I died. Who wants that for life? Me personally, I’d rather do the hard shit now and reap the benefits later.

I didn’t need more hours in the day, as people so often suggest. I needed to take advantage of the hours that I have. We are all given the same 24 hours, it’s just a matter of how we choose to spend them. Getting up early gave me those hours in quiet to accomplish things I hadn’t accomplished before. In the quiet, I wasn’t as anxious, I found I could actually think. Being alone with my thoughts was honestly a scary concept for me. Life was always so busy, so the idea of downtime and quiet time made me anxious, until I tired it. Sometimes, we need a little tap to the brakes of life. I could get things done that I was trying to accomplish once the kids were up or at night which took time away from being a wife and a mom. Checking it off my list while everyone was resting peacefully made me a much better human in their waking hours. I discovered that I quit yelling at my kids in the morning, rushing around, and feeling like my heart was going to pop out of my chest or my head was going to explode before I even got to work in the morning. I was ruining my own days, even weeks before they had started because of anxiousness, I was creating!

Now by 7am, I have accomplished more than some people do in a whole day! I’m productive, I’m energized, and I have shit done and I’m ready to get more shit done. I don’t leave the house stressed or exhausted! My mornings are pleasant and enjoyable with my kids!

Let’s get you there! Learn the benefits of waking up early and the baby-steps process to winning your morning. Be sure to listen to tomorrow’s episode for helpful tips to help you wake up early and seize the day!

Weeks like this can make you feel like you are a failure. Trying to balance work, kids, house chores can be overwhelming. All while thinking, man, I should be enjoying this. An idol mind is the devils playground. Nothing has to be perfect! Your kids do not need you there playing 100% of the time. The house doesn't have to be spotless. Laundry doesn't pile up if you do a little bit at a time. Work intentionally so you get it finished. Make a list, get it done! But do not let your mind trick you, make you feel guilty or like a failure. You are doing a great job! Walk to the mirror, look at yourself and say it, "I'm doing a good job. I've got this!"

Be intention. If not, you will not be present. You will enjoy nothing.

There's a mom out there that needed to hear that today! Looking at myself here! Podcast Episode coming soon! TRYING to get it released tonight
