Social advocates want to make a lasting impact for good. Not everyone knows how they can make a difference. Join us sisters, in our goal to affect change in our world. We’re family and socially-minded: Anne, a nurse. Liisa, a government worker. Mary, in community care. Heidi, in the supply chain. Together, our combined interests and family background make us advocates for homelessness, Alzheimer's prevention, and all things related to wellbeing. Join us weekly as we chat about what’s stirring our passions. If you want to learn about and join the social justice movement, this show is for you.
In this episode, Liisa and Anne are joined by their sister Mary. Mary shares some of the things she is doing now that she considers "slow living" or at least slowing down.
Mary is passionate about helping animals, and their owners reunite when they lose each other. She also loves to garden, read and journal.
Slow living is a topic that all sisters are very interested in, and all have their unique ways of slowing down in this fast-paced world.
Next episode, we will continue on this theme of slowing down with more sisters sharing what their version of a slower life means.
In this episode, Anne and Liisa discuss Alzheimer’s disease.
What can we do in our day-to-day lives to affect change on this personal and global issue? Is there a cure, is there hope?
The Sister's Interrupted plan to go for a walk for Alzheimer’s research during May, Alzheimer’s Awareness month; you may want to check out walks in your local area by doing a Google search.

Hi and welcome to our inaugural episode!
This episode is hosted by Liisa and Anne, sisters. There are four sisters in total and at some point, you'll be hearing from all of us.
Today Liisa and Anne are highlighting the risk of homelessness that many are encountering right now due to the drastic increase in rents and the lack of housing that is available for rent. This touches on a personal level and is one of the reasons we are called on to discuss these topics openly.
