Good Tuesday morning!

We are waking up to mainly cloudy skies and patchy fog across many ares of the Island this morning. In fact, St. John's International Airport is reporting freezing fog and 0ยบ at this hour. Welcome to May!

Temperatures across the Island will eventually warm up into the upper single numbers and low teens this afternoon and evening. On the Avalon, that will happen later today. We will spend most of the day in the single numbers thanks to onshore winds.

Rain and showers will develop across Newfoundland over the next few hours and stick with us, on and off, through the day. Some areas may see brief periods of heavy rainfall.

Labrador will see nicer and warmer weather, compared to that of the Island, for much of the day. Temperatures along and south of the TLH will climb into the teens today. Sun will the rule initially, but clouds and showers arrive later this afternoon. In the North, we see rain and snow showers today. Along the Straits it stays dry today, with showers and rain moving in later this evening or during the overnight.

Futurecast below gives you a good idea of what we can expect, hour by hour, through the day.

Have a great one!
