In today's episode we are discussing literacy homework ideas. Are you a fan of homework, and why or why not? Research shows that students who read for at least 20 minutes nightly score in the 90th percentile. One good idea for homework can be choice boards. Choice boards give students voice and choice, autonomy, and it is low prep! Here is an example of some choice board ideas. A second idea for homework can be integrating literacy games. Here is a teacher created freebie and example of a literacy game that can be used for homework. Finally, integrating long-term projects can be an additional homework strategy.
