Welcome to The Collective podcast! We are the college ministry of NPHX Church located in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. The Collective is a weekly gathering of college students from multiple campuses on Wednesday nights at 7:30 PM. Each week we dive into God's word for answers and direction on how to navigate life as a 20 something adult.
The birth of Jesus was not random! People were awaiting the arrival of the Messiah, and one of the reasons was because of prophecies like this one in the book of Isaiah. The interesting thing is that the way the Messiah came was unexpected, which leads us to ask, "What are the unexpected things God is going to do in our lives?"

This is the second part of the message from last where we see the new creation that God is making. However, more specifically, in this message we see that a part of the new earth is a new garden, a new garden of Eden. A redemption story of what we though was lost, but will one day be renewed!

Not only is God making us personally into a new creation, but one day he is going to be making the entire creation in a new creation by renewing the earth back to what it was designed to be. And by understanding what the new earth is shows us to live on the earth today!

If God has made us a new creation, then people should be able to see that by how we love like Jesus. And loving like Jesus loved is the new command by which we live our lives by.

After God has made us a new creation, what comes next? God wants us to put on the new self, by throwing of our old self and the sin that so easily entangles us.
