Here's the thing about giving advice: often, we are the ones most in need of taking the advice we're giving others. This is especially true in parenting, where we are in a supposed position of "authority" that makes giving advice (or orders!) very common. But are we taking the advice we're giving our kids, or are we giving off an attitude of "do as I say, not as I do?" In this episode, we dive in on the advice we give our kids but should be doing a better job taking ourselves.

In this episode, we have a wide ranging conversation with our guest Linda Charles, an intuitive healer and Process Healing coach. We go into what it means to "wake up," enmeshment, how to know when a feeling is intuition, and so much more!
Linda has been a lifelong student of healing modalities, including: Gestalt Theory, Process Coaching, Internal Family Systems and Compassionate Inquiry. Some say that what Linda does with them is magic, and in many ways, it is. There's an alchemy that happens when parts of us that were traumatized are retrieved from their exile. Linda's goal is to unburden the wounded parts and restore a healthy internal system that is coordinated by the True Self. She does this with compassion, safety and curiosity, helping people tap into the roots of patterns that may not be serving them. Linda can be reached at 916-206- 0927 and found on her website: https://lindadcharles.wixsite.com/deepconnecting/

As much as it might scare us, we are the authors of our own stories. Once we realize that, it doesn't mean we need to feel guilty about our mistakes from the past, it means we need to take ownership now. Once you embrace that you are the author of your own story, you can change the ending to what you want it to be.

We're back for Part 2 of "Our Story"! Part 1 was the fairytale, Disney movie love story, but Part 2 is when reality strikes back... There is no such thing as a perfect relationship, regardless of how things look from the "outside." Only by realizing that every relationship takes commitment and hard work can we discover what a strong relationship truly is.
