Paimana Bede is a beautiful Afghan song.
The original writer of this magnificent poem is Omar Khyam (1048-1131).

Raag Basant represents the beginning of spring and the onset of a new season. Similar to how spring cleaning clears out the cobwebs and ushers in a new beginning, this Raag encourages the mind to sweep aside its selfishness. Hope and anticipation for a fresh start and the beginning of a new cycle are present. Please excuse my mistakes as I explore this Raag.
Whenever I want to hear Rubab, I search for songs played by my Ustad. This song is called: De loyo loyo qudratuno raba.
Rubab player un-known.
I have heard this melody some years ago.
Since then it never left my musical world.
I call this a midnight raag. To my understanding, it has all the flavors of raag Shrivanjani. A raag from the thaat of Kafi.
Love to hear it, and that's also the reason why I wanted to share it here.
