Caught At An Intersection The Podcast is a four-episode series dedicated to fostering conversations about the lives of people who were and are caught at the intersection of being both Black and LGBTQ. Join Jeremiah Baldwin (he/him) every Saturday this Pride Month, as he facilitates open dialogues via his podcast about the contributions of the LGBTQ community’s Black members. Each episode of the series is designed to educate viewers and challenge the predominantly White and Eurocentric narratives that dominate mainstream Pride Month discussions.
Writer and organizer Alejandro Heredia (he/him) joins Jeremiah to discuss the intersection of writing and activism, as well as the impact that attacks on critical race theory will have on Black queer writers.
Director of The Institute for Urban Policy Research & Analysis (IUPRA) Dr. Kevin Cokley (he/him) joins Jeremiah to discuss issues of mental health in the Black community and ways that we can collectively work to improve and preserve the mental health of Black queer people.
