He has reviewed hundreds of start-ups for investment, led investment into Replay Technologies, and then crossed over to join their management scaling the venture hands-on. Jonathan managed global strategy and business at Replay, tripling revenues every year, whilst facilitating product collaborations with world renowned Tech Giants. Following two years of exponential growth the venture was acquired by Intel for $175M, representing 11X on the initial investment. Within Intel, Jonathan served as the Managing Director of Intel Sports European division until January 2021, where he managed relationships and negotiations, developed creative business models and legal frameworks, and initiated innovative products with numerous entities such as The Premier League, Liverpool F.C, Sky Sports, La Liga, Barcelona F.C and League 1.
In this edition of Matchday Live, Saket Dhandhania speaks with David O'Connor, who is currently the Director of Global Partnerships at Infront Sports & Media AG, part of the Wanda Sports Group. Since joining the Wanda Sports Group in 2016, Dave has been responsible for the establishment and management of a dedicated partnerships team to manage the Wanda Group's global partnership portfolio that consist of FIFA, FIBA, Atlético de Madrid and the Diamond League. Dave previously worked for six years in-house at FIFA, responsible for the area of marketing communication and research and has also worked at large global sports marketing agencies GMR Marketing and Sport+Markt (now Nielsen).

After Executive roles in the UK with NatWest, British Gas and Metro Bank, Chris now has a portfolio of Non-Executive Director (NED) and Chair roles in Business and Sport. He also is a global keynote speaker and Executive Coach. His roles in sport include Chair of the Rugby League World Cup 2021, Chair of the Sporting House Group, Senior NED at the Rugby Football League, (RFL), and Senior NED of the Manchester Football Association. Chris is the Leadership and Business Coach at Metro Bank and has also coached Executives from companies such as Heineken, Müller and Grosvenor Estates. Chris’ other roles in sport include Trustee at Switch the Play, Strategic Adviser for the Athlete Inspired Programme and Business Mentor for the Premier League, Elite Academy Managers Programme.
