8:57 - 21:14 After weeks of saying it wasn't happening, BK reacts to the Urban Meyer to Jacksonville news and why he thinks this is a recipe for disaster. BK Show Rundown 1-5-21

00:00 - 12:29 -BK starts the show by recapping the College Football Playoff and Bowl Week games that had the likes of Indiana, Cincinnati, and Florida all losing. Brendan poses the question that after seeing those performances, would an 8-team CFP actually have been worth it. Or would it just be more blow outs and non competitive games. BK also talks on Texas A&M and how them beating North Carolina in the Orange Bowl is a fair trade off to not making the CFP and more than likely losing to Alabama. A&M gets the benefits of recruits seeing the win and more than likely being more inclined to go play at College Station. Later, BK brings it all together by saying the only way the CFP would change for the better is if a traditional College Football blue blood comes back to prominence. And that would be if Urban Meyer goes to USC.

13:12 - 33:18 - Interview with Ben Polizzi

33:20 - 42:17 - It's time for "BK's Big Play" where Brendan will share some of his favorite broadcasting calls from professionals in the industry on TV and radio. This week, BK discusses the Monday Night Football broadcast booth of Steve Levy, Louis Riddick, and Brian Griese finishing their first season together. Brendan talks about how he liked the three man booth after the disaster that was Joe Tessitore, Jason Witten, and Booger McFarland. BK shares what made this MNF booth successful and that people that had a problem with them need to realize that most of the Monday night games this year were awful. The booth of Levy, Riddick, and Griese should absolutely get another year and try to find them some better games.

42:19 - 49:00 - BK closes the show by giving an update on the Chicago Cubs making a hire for their new TV Play-by-Play Announcer in Jon "Boog" Sciambi.

Before going into radio, Bob was the Head Basketball Coach at both his alma mater Franklin College, as well as IUPUI. Coach is a member of the Indiana Basketball Hall-of-Fame for his career on the sidelines, in administration, and in radio. In the interview, BK and Coach discuss how IST got started, what the transition was like from drawing plays on the clipboard to the radio studio, some of Coach's favorite phone calls he has ever taken, and the shared love the guys have for baseball. BK Show Rundown 12-28-20

00:00 - 16:58 -BK starts the show by sharing how impressed he has been with new Indiana Pacers head coach Nate Bjorkgren in his first 3 games on the Pacer sideline. Brendan says that everything about Bjorkgren from the point he was hired until now just feels like a collective win for the franchise. He is a breath of fresh air, passionate, and always prepared. Later, BK goes into the San Diego Padres dropping everything and bringing in a haul for their starting rotation by acquiring 2018 Cy Young winner Blake Snell. Brendan discusses what he likes about the deal, and the possibility that Yu Darvish also winds up in San Diego with rumors buzzing. BK also tells you why the people who hate bat flips are ultra annoying.

17:00 - 25:03 - It's time for "BK's Big Play" where Brendan will share some of his favorite broadcasting calls from professionals in the industry on TV and radio. This week, BK features two TV calls from one of his favorite broadcasters ever, the late Dave Strader. Dave called games in the NHL nationally for NBC, Versus, ESPN, and also individual teams like the Red Wings, Panthers, Coyotes, and Stars. He passed away in 2017 from a very rare and aggressive form of cancer called cholangiocarcinoma, also known as Bile Duct Cancer. It was the same cancer that took the life of Brendan's Uncle Dan five months prior to when Dave died in October of that year. The two calls that BK throws into the podcast this week is from a period of time where Dave was healthy and not affected by cancer, and the second was from him calling games during his fight. Although his voice may sound different, BK brings the segment together by saying the same level of passion and love is in each call. And that no matter what you are fighting, you should always bring the same energy and sense of professionalism to work every single day.

Brendan tells you why he thinks USC may be smart to go after Urban Meyer hard this off-season because beyond the top-4, college football is wide open. This week, BK features both a TV and radio call. Brendan tells you why your pregame prep work is so important in broadcasting, especially at a national level.
