This podcast is designed to talk about the struggles early educators face and the solutions they come up with as they settle into their own classrooms. There are episodes with teacher tips as well as episodes on historical topics that are thought provoking and informative.
On this weeks episode the host breaks down DBQ writing and what the paragraphs should look like. Though NYS doesn't use DBQ's on their regents exams, they are still powerful pieces of writing that develop strong historical thinking skills.
The host talks about his first year of teaching and the things that he has learned. He discusses his areas of improvement and his advice for new teachers.
Nick talks a little bit about himself and introduces the podcast. Some of the most important questions new teachers and teachers going through their college programs ask are; "what makes a good teacher?" "How do I engage students in learning?" and "What does a good lesson look like?" These questions are discussed and talked about through Nick's lens and what he has experienced thus far.
