Dan Ramm is an author, writer, Emmy nominated producer, and business partner with Joe Mantegna at Acquaviva Productions since 2001. Leslie has been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. For most of those years, she served as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at a trauma hospital in Huntington, WV. Chris Quintanilla is the CEO of Azul Imports, the makers of Azulejos and Skelly Tequilas. He was born in Mexico City. When he was 10 years old, his father, Pedro Quintanilla, founded Azulejos Tequila. Throughout his middle school and high school years, Chris watched Pedro as he developed the brands. Since Chris was good with computers as a teenager, he assisted him with graphic design work and similar tasks. After graduating from high school, Chris moved to the U.S. where he attended the University of Texas at San Antonio. After graduating with a double major in Marketing & Business Management, he embarked on a 17-year career with Mexcor, the U.S. importer of Azulejos Tequila. He started as a local Sales Representative, eventually rising through the ranks to become a Regional Manager, State Manager, V.P. of National Sales & Operations, and ultimately Chief Sales Officer and Chief Business Intelligence Officer. Chris is also a WSET Level 2 Wine and Spirits Educator. Concurrently, he continued working with his father until his passing in 2018 The business then transitioned to his mother, Linda. Eliot Veith was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from Jesuit High School of Tampa in 2016, he went on to attend Florida State University. In his time there, he was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity. Eliot graduated magna cum laude from FSU in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in both criminology and political science, as well as a certificate of education in emergency management. He then started at Stetson University College of Law. During his three years of law school, Eliot worked as a law clerk for Wil Flores, P.A., where he learned the ins and outs of practicing in personal injury and criminal defense. He graduated from Stetson in May of 2023 and took the Florida Bar Exam that summer. Eliot was sworn in as an attorney in the state of Florida on September 18, 2023 and immediately began working as an associate of Wil Flores P.A. serving the injured, the over charged, and the wrongfully accused of the Tampa Bay area. David Swinson is the author of the critically acclaimed Frank Marr trilogy, The Second Girl, Crime Song and Trigger. He is also the author of City on the Edge. After attending California State University as a film major, he booked and promoted punk rock and alternative music at Fender’s Ballroom and Bogart’s Nightclub in Long Beach. In 1990, while having drinks with Timothy Leary and friend, Bill Stankey, in Leary’s home in Beverly Hills, an idea for an offbeat buddy film entitled “Roadside Prophets” was conceived. Hunter S. Thompson was also included in the project. The film starred John Doe (of the band X) and Adam Horovitz (of the Beastie Boys) and featured Timothy Leary, John Cusack, David Carradine and Arlo Guthrie. In 1994, Swinson pursued another passion – law enforcement. He returned to his home base of Washington DC, where he entered the Police Academy and joined the Metropolitan Police Department. In 1998, Swinson was assigned to the Third District Detectives Office as an investigator, where he covered offenses ranging from burglary and armed robbery to homicide. Over the past few years, the Matt O'Ree Band has done what most area bands do. Joe Coots grew up in Winnebago, IL, a definite sports town. When he needed a summer job in college, his football coach sent him to the theater department to help build sets. The next summer he was on stage. Joe was awarded the Tony and Joseph Jefferson Award for his acclaimed performance as Richard Roma in David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Glengarry Glen Ross. Some of Joe’s film and television highlights are House of Games, Searching for Bobby Fisher, Godfather III, his Emmy, and Golden Globe nominated role of Dean Martin in The Ratpack, his Emmy nominated role of Pipi Delana in “The Last Don.” For two seasons Joe starred with Mary Steenburgen and Amber Tamblyn in the critically acclaimed CBS drama Joan of Arcadia, winner of the 2004 People Choice Award for best new drama as well as picking up three Emmy nominations. Joe lends much of his free time to several philanthropic endeavors. He was the National Spokesperson for the fundraising campaign to build The U.S. Army Museum, which opened in 2021. He’s also an ambassador for the Gary Sinise Foundation, a charity which focuses on the needs of our most severely wounded veterans. He’s also hosted the National Memorial Day Concert live from Washington DC since 2006. His other passions include various autism related organizations including ETTA, New Horizons, the Miracle Project, Ed Asner Family Center, The Help Group, and Easter Seals Chicago.
Joe also conceived and co-wrote the play “Bleacher Bums,” a satirical look at fandom in the bleachers of Wrigley Field during the 70’s. The play ran for years in Chicago and Los Angeles, ultimately winning an Emmy in Chicago for its broadcast on PBS. The play was so popular it was eventually produced as a feature film for Showtime. The play is still produced around the world today.
In April of 2011 Joe received a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and in 2014 he received a Lifetime Achievement award from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for his dedication to the community and craft of acting.

He played with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans. He is a graduate of Howard University. Luke Mitchem is American singer/songwriter whose music taps into the flowing musical rivers of folk, blues, and ballads. His music is heartfelt, poetic, and exemplifies the ups and downs of life. Luke’s journey with creating music began nearly 15 years ago, when he decided to pick up the guitar and learn a few chords. Influenced by not only current and past musicians such as Bruce Springsteen, Elliott Smith, Jim Croce and Josh Ritter, among several others, Luke’s music incorporates poetic and thoughtful lyrics. Luke has shared the stage with his fellow peers, including David Dondero, Damien Jurado, The White Buffalo, Bobby Long, and Joshua James, who also produced Luke’s last two albums, including Luke’s sixth solo album, Which Wolf Will You Feed?. Luke is currently working on his seventh studio album, titled All Those Mourning Hymns, as well as a film adaptation of his song and short story titled The Saints of Vernon County. John Kreng was born in Washington DC, the son of the Cambodian Ambassador to the U.S. He is of Chinese and Thai descent. He started practicing martial arts at the age of 12. John trained with several world champions and even competed on the national level until he incurred an injury. This injury pushed him to pursue his other passion, comedy, which he honed at the Comedy Cafe in DC. He then moved out to LA to further his career and performed at the Comedy Store for over 10 years. Once he burned out on comedy he became a stunt coordinator, fight choreographer and stuntman. Greg Somers of Seminole, Florida, is a retired law enforcement officer, who served more than 33 years in the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC. He commanded the MPD's Joint Terrorism Task Force, and was also attached to the FBI and NCRS. He also served in many other task forces including the Violent Crimes and Gang Task Force and Vice.

Andy Shannon is a father of two children (a son 22 and daughter, 18), and he is a native Floridian who grew up in St. Pete Beach and now lives in St. Petersburg. He was educated in the Diocese of St. Petersburg himself and is a career educator who is in his 33rd year in Education, with 28 of those in Catholic Education. Andy has served as a Principal, Assistant Principal, Teacher and Coach and is currently the Director of Campus Ministry at Clearwater Central Catholic High School in the Diocese of St. Petersburg. Jon Halapio played offensive line at the University of Florida, where was the Team Captain for two years. He was drafted in the 6th round of the NFL draft. He was an Offensive Lineman in the NFL for 8 years. He is currently the Offensive Line Coach at Northside Christian School in St. Petersburg, FL. He and his wife have three beautiful children.

Mary and Doug Meador have been married for 48 years. They have 2 children, and 6 grandchildren. They live in Kansas. They love to garden, spend time with their family, go to church and have coffee together. They are a wonderful example of marital love.

This week, Monica and Oscar chat with Chef Ralph Macrina. His grandparents immigrated to the United States from the village of Cantanzaro in Calabria, and from Naples, Italy in the 1930’s. They settled in Brockton, Mass and The Bronx, New York, where he was born. Their names can be found on the Immigrant Wall of Honor on Ellis Island.
Chef Ralph earned his degree from the Culinary Institute of the Carolinas where he now serves on the Hospitality Education Advisory Committee.
He joined ARAMARK in 2004 leading the culinary efforts at Flour Corp, GE, and Furman University. He currently serves as Executive Chef at Bob Jones University.
Married to his wife Michelle, they have a daughter who is a PR professional in Philadelphia and a son who recently returned home after serving 4 deployments aboard the USS Ronald Reagan in Japan.

As the US Government prepares to launch a formal investigation into the presence of Unidentified Flying Objects, Oscar indulges in his favorite theories about aliens :-) The first time he recorded this episode with Monica, the files mysteriously vanished into space :-) And Monica saw mysterious green flashes in the sky. Only in Florida, folks. But Oscar recalls some unexplainable UFO sightings from friends in the US Military: "They don't put stupid guys in fighter jets."
This week, Oscar introduces Monica to an old friend, Jeff Gooch, who will be getting married on Veteran's Day, 2022.
Jeff began serving his country with a 4 year stint in the US Army. He then spent a decade as a police officer in Colorado. After that, he worked either as a contractor or for federal agencies in Iraq and Afghanistan. In this episode, he tells those stories. He has two awesome grown children. Monica and Oscar's guest this week is David Keuhner, the CEO and Founder of One Family Brewing, and the Managing Member of One Family Gives, a nonprofit helping families and individuals in need.
David has been involved as an entrepreneur for multiple “start-up” companies such as JTech Communications, the leading provider of pagers for the restaurant industry, bought by Oracle; OpenTable, the leading online reservation service in the world publicly traded, eventually sold to Priceline.com; Fishbowl, the leading online marketing agency for more than 75,000 restaurants in the US and Europe; and Destination Cellars, a private wine and experiential club which handled experiences for Exclusive Resorts, Merrill Lynch private wealth, American Express, MasterCard and others.
David is 23 years married to his wife Lorin, and they have two children. His son Jaden is a junior at Washington & Lee University, studying to be an orthopedic surgeon, and an Army ROTC cadet. His daughter Shay is a freshman at the University of Tennessee where she is studying to be a nurse.

She attended University of Florida and Stetson Law School. She is a professor at USF St Petersburg. She and her husband, Shane, have two beautiful children. She shares the story of losing her sister Amy (below) a college student who died after a 2-month struggle following a car accident.

This week, Monica and Oscar discuss how to let go of things we become attached to in life - both physical and emotional, but which are now in the past. Oscar recalls the physical and emotional pain of his injuries from the war in Afghanistan in 2014, when he was forced to retire.
Monica and Oscar chat with DJ Klem, a combat veteran who retired from the US Army. He served for 20 years first in Air Defense, then as an Air Traffic Controller, and finally in Special Operations. More importantly he is a husband, father, grandfather and an advocate for those in the military who are considering suicide.
