Welcome to Episode 30 of season 2 of Batting Practice! We take a bit of a different turn for this week's episode, where instead of talking strategy, we debate the collectible side of Sorare and how it compares to collecting physical cards of players. Which cards are worth more now? Which cards have more potential value in the future? Why do certain cards maintain value or increase when others do the opposite? Find out our opinions by tuning in this week!

Welcome back to your normally scheduled Batting Practice podcast! Andrew is now a married man, and all of the boys are back and more ready than ever to embarass ourselves looking at the preseason predictions we made. There are a few good ones in there like Paul Skenes and Cole Ragans, but also a few absolute stinkers like Tim Anderson. Overall, how did we do? Let us know! We will be back to revisit these at the end of the season!

We are BACK with another episode of the Batting Practice podcast bringing you the best highlights from around the sporting world and what they mean for your Sorare gallery.

The Los Angeles Lakers have won the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament after they defeated a hungry, cash-strapped Pacers who played like their Christmas Bonus was on the line. For this first tournament it was unknown whether teams would take it seriously but judging by the fact that most playoff favorites won or made it out of their group, yeah the big boys were trying. What implications this has on the NBA Playoffs or eventual Championship run are unknown at this point.

Shohei Ohtani is headed to your Los Angeles Dodgers and yes it is always a good week to be an LA fan. The stars aligned and descended from the hills to welcome MLB's newest superstar who smashed every contract record to record a 700 million contract netting him 2 million every year. Yes I did pass 4th grade math and I double checked my work because that number is absolutely correct. Ohtani has created one of the most team and tax friendly contracts in existence by deferring most of his payout to the end of his contract. What a nice retirement gift to go with his future World Series rings.

We have the takes and thoughts on what this means for the world of sports and of course your Sorare gallery.

Thanks for listening and dont forget to share us with a friend.

Baaaannnggg, we are back with another fantastic episode of the Batting Practice Podcast. We had some huge updates this week within the NBA game and the boys are here to break it all down for you. The NBA In-Season Tournament kicked off last night and will end before our next podcast so let us know on X who you think will win. The Celtics are already out so perhaps more upsets are on the way.

MLB winter meetings are underway this week with the biggest development centered around who Shohei Ohtani is going to sign for. You heard it here first, it will NOT be the Milwaukee Brewers who made a splash of their own this week giving the biggest contract to a player who has never played in the MLB so far.

Finally, we wrap things up with a bit of fun and name the highest paid MLB players.

We are BACK with another episode of the Batting Practice Podcast with our 65th episode EVER. We kick off the episode with a buying bonanza taking advantage of Sorare's first ever Cyber Week deals with 50% off an Auctioned Card (up to $40). Unfortunately, if you are reading this, the deal has expired. Just know if you saw the auction prices for yesterday, no we are not in a bull market, Sorare holiday season has started early.

Sorare makes a lot of changes and it has become nearly impossible to stay in the loop unless one dedicates part of their Sorare hobby to following the game's news. Do not fret as the Sorare team has heard our calls for more information. The team is now sharing a weekly report for both the soccer and basketball games which covers all of the updates for the week. This makes it a lot easier for the average manager to find out all the latest news for the game we all love.

The MLB Offseason is kicking into high gear with free agency. Ohtani is on the market and probably will be signed to his new team by Christmas. Will his new jersey be your stocking stuffer? Jon Morosi, a Sorare Media Legend and MLB Correspondent, has made the bold call that Ohtani is headed to the Atlanta Braves. Dodgers fans, we think you will have the last laugh with the possible dual signings in Ohtani and NPB Star Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

The NBA never fails to keep things interesting with Pop hopping on the mic to yell at Spurs fans to STOP booing Kawhi Leonard. A Lakers fan almost tore his ACL while attempting a half-court shot and unfortunately Dru Smith actually injured himself for the season on Cleveland's uneven court.

Thank you for listening and do not forget to leave a review or share us with a friend.

We are BACK with another episode of the Batting Practice Podcast. Like our previous episode, we are adding a bit more structure to the show which makes writing recaps like these a breeze.

Kicking things off we look back on our MLB Season Predictions that we made on March 1st when Spring Training was getting started. Many of the picks went up in smoke but a fair amount actually proved true. Which of the BP Hosts was most correct? Watch and find out. Did your expectations for the MLB Season come true?

Sorare NBA is now hitting its stride so we have expanded our RTG series to NBA. The boys take on the draft and have a great discussion as to which MVP you should take when building out your own team. Let us know what you think of our pick.

The Sorare team is not sleeping. We have an exciting update on the NBA front with new rewards coming to Rare and the Launch of Collection XP for SO5 competitions.

Finally, we complete the episode with a sporcle quiz celebrating the sausages across the MLB. Match the dog to the ballpark and you are a winner.

Thanks for listening :)

We are back with a new structure to our weekly Sorare and all things sports podcast with a blend of news across the sports and sorare multiverses. Do you think there is a world out there where Mbappe plays a Sorare card of mine? Probably not but we can all dream.

All jokes aside, we have noticed that the top podcasts out there have a structure to them and we want to deliver a cultivated experience to each one of our listeners. Thus, we have made the decision at the Batting Practice Podcast to implement this. Does that mean our episodes will become dry and rigid? Of course NOT. We simply want to have regular segments dedicated to Sorare Gameplay and News, Sports, and of course fun.

We are back with another episode of the Batting Practice podcast during the first week of the MLB Playoffs. This is an exciting time to be a sports fan between the coming NBA season, European Soccer madness, and of course the MLB Postseason.

The Wild Card round has just wrapped up after just 2 days after every winning team completing a successful sweep of their opponent. Unfortunately for the Brewers, this means their 92 win season fell short in the first round.

Andrew and Josh had the opportunity to attend the 2nd game and witness their favorite team's defeat in person. RIP to all of the Brewer stacks out there. No matter the outcome, we both had a great time and are thankful to the entire Sorare MLB team for providing a great experience. Bonus, you may see Josh and I featured on some new campaigns they are doing for what Sorare MLB managers can expect from playing the game.

Finally we do a live look at the Championship Chase and will get into it more next week when we break down what it takes to win in the postseason.

Year 2 of the Batting Practice podcast is officially 1 month in and we have nearly reached the best time to be a baseball fan: the postseason. This is the time of year when bad seasons are finally crushed when a team is knocked out of contention. Sorry Mets, Padres. We give you our thoughts on the current postseason picture and look at which teams are doing well of late as the playoffs draw ever near.

I was watching MLB TV today and saw a new Sorare MLB advertisement for the playoffs which the team wants you to get hyped about. We finally give you our long overdue reaction to that announcement and how you can position your gallery heading into the tournament. This was recorded Monday so you have the honor of judging our predictions and seeing who is right.

Year 2 of the Batting Practice podcast is off to a roaring start as we look towards the MLB Playoffs and look at which players you may want to target if you are building for the postseason or planning to dominate in Sorare MLB next year. This is usually the time of year where we see non playoff players dip in price as their utility ends in a few weeks while playoff guys continue to rise in value as they have extra games and will be important pieces in the playoff long competition.

We continue to incorporate more news from around the MLB into the podcast so let us know what you think of this new segment. As always we keep the banter fresh as we offer our opinions and sometimes we get heated ;)

We are back with Season (year) 2 of the Batting Practice podcast and we are switching things up a bit. Let us know what you think of our baseball coverage as we are trying to make sure our content is relevant for our listeners.

In this episode, we review the current MLB Playoff picture to get you ready for October baseball. Which teams are red hot and which are cooling off (see Bryce Harper's beard). Every game in September matters and you should be watching to see which players you need to make a deep Sorare MLB playoff run.

We also did a gallery review of Josh's friend who started his Sorare MLB journey with a small budget. We look at what players he has purchased and the success he is had so far. If you are looking to reposition your own gallery, this is a must listen.

You betcha folks as we thank all of you for your support along the way. We have an exciting episode for you today where we dive into Sorare MLB’s mideason update and the new features coming to the game. Having success in the game requires you to be on top of the latest changes as those who adapt will remain and gain on those that ignore the updates. We break down all of the changes and give you our thoughts on what this means for your gallery.

We hit 50, yes you heard that right 5..0.. episodes!! Thank you to all who have listened to any of our episodes, won a giveaway, or just told your good ol friends about us.

This is one of the best episodes we have made and feature some really interesting stories like Andrew meeting a Sorare MLB Manager at a music festival. This gave him the opportunity to see what a new manager thinks of the game and why they joined the platform initially.

Sorare announced a huge product update this week in the form of a new cash wallet. This will allow ordinary, non-cryto folks the ability to get funds onto the platform and likely set Sorare up for a media blitz to start the fall.

Finally, we dive deep into what type of lineups win competitions. We answer the question of whether a hitter or pitcher is best in your super flex spot, how many cards of a lower scarcity can you put in a mixed scarcity competition, and more. Listen now to learn how you can improve the lineups you make every gameweek.

Episode 49 and climbing. Thank you for all of the support so far as we have grown this podcast into something so much of you listen to every week. We truly appreciate each and every one of our listeners.

We have two main topics this week, looking at which teams are making moves ahead of the trade deadline. We recorded this before the deadline closed so there are moves that we will cover on next week's episode. So what does this mean for Sorare? Listen and you may find out ;)

Finally we have a fun topic where we compare the features and capabilities within the Football game and ask ourselves which of those do we most want to see in Sorare MLB. Let us know if there are any we missed!

Thanks and have a great weekend.

We are back with another episode for you today covering Pt 2 of our MLB Playoff Predictions. Last week we totally nailed the AL Postseason predictions so pulled out the Magic 8 ball again to give you our best predictions for the NL Playoff picture. The playoff race is on and it is not even the trade deadline. Which teams will make season-changing moves to take their team from a contender to the World Series?

We also share a long overdue Road to Glory Update and what strategies you should be using to manage your common gallery and send out winning lineups. Tbh, we have not had much success the common level so we dove into why and came out with some great strategies you can apply to your gallery regardless of scarcity.

Thank you for listening and do not be afraid to leave a review or let us know your thoughts on Twitter.

We are back with another great episode of the Batting Practice podcast. This episode we went all over the place and ended up talking through some exciting topics that led us to split our main topic in 2 with the rest covered on next week's episode.

Because we all pretend to be whales, it can be easy to ignore what is happening on the high roller version of Sorare MLB with Uniques and Super Rares. In case you missed it, Shohei Ohtani, the greatest player ever, had his 2023 Unique go on auction this past week where it sold for a very underwhelming 14k. This is a huge drop from last year's price of 90k and shows the state of the Sorare MLB Unique market. The boys get into what it means for your gallery and the game overall. It matters what happens in other divisions you are not playing as Sorare is one ecosystem.

The main topic for today's episode is a live look at the MLB Standings as the boys break down which teams we expect to make the playoffs. This matters from a Sorare perspective as managers could gain an extra month of utility from their cards, simply for choosing the right teams. We also hope Sorare MLB follow in NBA's path to have a special playoff long competition with fun prizes.

Thank you all for watching and the great support shown so far. We are just getting started.

Episode 46 and one of our craziest to date! We have a fantastic episode for you guys detailing what to do if you win the Sorare lottery. We also discuss what to do if you win any reward in general. This conversation stems from Josh having his best ever week on Sorare and the Podcast's best finish to date. Where did Josh finish and in what competition? More importantly what did he win? Also did Jacob hack the MLB Pickle?

The main topic in this week's episode is what to do if you hit it big on Sorare and win a big card or big Etherium reward. We also quickly discuss our thoughts on the MLB Home Run Derby and have some live reaction to the MLB All-Star Game. Shoutout to the National League for finally ending the American League's winning streak. If you're dying to know what happened with Josh's lineups and more importantly what/who he won, listen now!

Episode 45 and we are still cooking. We have a fun episode for you today with a longer intro as we delve into what we were doing a year ago, looking forward to Josh's wedding. Jacob won a Julio autographed baseball from Sorare and showed us all what a great prize can look like. 44's signature looks great on any baseball. Andrew received a trade offer for his Corbin Burnes limited which featured an Alek Manoah plus some ether. The boys analyzed the trade live on the podcast and gave Andrew their take on whether it was a good or bad offer. Does Andrew accept?

The main topic for today's episode is our final review of the MLB All Star Game Rosters to see how our picks stacked up against what the players and fans voted for. Our prediction episode a few podcasts ago was pretty spot on with us nearly nailing the entire starting lineup for both the American and National League. Finally, we look back at the predictions that we made at the beginning of the year and see if they stack up against what is happening now that we are officially halfway through the MLB season. Listen now to hear how our picks fared so far and where we expect them to go in the second half of the season.

We got a special episode for you all today, taking a look at something that is one of the more important aspects of Sorare: rewards. Have you ever looked at what cards are in each Tier List? Do you agree with where Sorare has placed different players?

The first thing to note about reward tiers is that they are dynamic and evolving. For example, Andrew won Michael Conforto as a Tier 4 and is now a Tier 2. Jacob won Adolis Garcia as a Tier 2 and he has now moved into Tier 1. This goes to show that holding on to key rewards can increase your gallery's potential over time.

We also dive in to look at which competitions pay out the best rewards, starting with free to enter competitions. These rewards have changed the most with Limited Cards now getting spread out over multiple competitions instead of just Common All Star Last Year. We also have seen rewards at the Limited and Rare Divisions shift with the introduction of new competitions.

Which competitions have you been entering? Let us know on Twitter.

Finally, we close with a Road to Glory Update. Andrew is no fun and wants us to only do pragmatic things whereas Jacob knows whats good for the 'Gram. It turns out to be a good debate on where you should play your best cards, common or otherwise.

Thank you all for listening. If you have not, please rate and review us.

This is one of my favorite episodes we have ever made and we are still just getting started! We are starting a new series, probably a smaller part of the podcast going forward where we review one of our listener's Sorare MLB galleries. Today we are looking at a gallery submitted by a friend of the show, Miguel, who has a Sorare username of "Moneyball to Glory", a top tier name.

Like his name indicates, Miguel is trying to Moneyball his way into Sorare success, starting with a small budget and using his scouting skills to find undervalued players. We took a look at his gallery and were impressed by the players he has been able to acquire and the level of SO7 success he has managed as well. For our full breakdown and analysis, be sure to watch the whole podcast :)

We battled through some technical difficulties that thankfully did not stop us from hearing about Josh's success over the weekend where he netted a tier 4 rare card that finally gave his gallery the depth he was looking for. Not be outdone but is anyone surprised to hear that Jacob finished top 50 in Limited Pro, winning a rare card from limiteds as well as some eth. This is why the pro divisions remain our favorite for any scarcity given their strong payouts.

Finally, Andrew is now a Trader? Yeah maybe... he is getting used to it and trying to play a valuable part in the Sorare MLB ecosystem. If you need to sell cards in a hurry, send a message his way.

Thank you for all of the support!

Have you seen the latest polls of which players are expected to be All Stars?? Clearly, the average fan does not play Sorare because some of the best players this year have been snubbed because they do not play on well known teams (Rangers, Rays, I am looking at you). Not to mention the players voted ahead of these MVP candidates are having average to slightly worse seasons makes the totals even worse.

Go vote and use your Sorare MLB knowledge for good! https://www.mlb.com/all-star/ballot

Looking at which players are making the All Star Game is a great way to scout players for your Sorare MLB gallery. Just be aware some of the players selected may be in hype only and make sure you do some extra research before you buy :)

We found out which one of us spends too much time on Sorare with Andrew leading the pack with his < 1 hour response time. Jacob and Josh have respectable < 12 hour response times which honestly is not that helpful as knowing someone will reply within 1-12 hours is a very big timeframe. We would like to see Sorare add a users timezone to their profile to help facilitate more trades.

Finally, we round the podcast out with some games of By the Numbers and MLB Pickle. Thank you for watching and watch our Twitter to find out more info on our upcoming giveaways.

This podcast DOES NOT STOP. That may be a bit dramatic but I think it's important to celebrate the wins and that fact that we have no eclipsed 40 podcast episodes! This episode follows Josh's journey to upgrade his gallery - no he is not selling everything. The first step to acquiring new cards is raising funds to buy them which leads us to one of the least fun but important aspects of Sorare - selling cards.

On the football side of the product, Sorare have unveiled programs to encourage holding cards from collections to list or play. Those same features do not exist on baseball but should eventually. Until then, the boys debate when you should keep a reward vs selling and how to raise funds quickly if you need to upgrade a card in your lineup.

Baseball also lacks the market makers that Sorare has on the football side given the vast number of users. PawelTrader one of the biggest holders of Sorare cards has only 423 MLB Cards. Similarly, bots that exist on the football side are not operational on Sorare MLB. Thus, it is a huge time investment if you need to sell 7 cards when these mechanisms do not exist.

To hear our full take on this debate, continue listening to Episode 41!

Thank you for watching, please rate and review us and don't forget to share us with a friend.

Episode 40 is here and we cannot believe how fast time has moved. It is feeling like summer and the days are getting longer. Soon baseball will be the only major sport played in the US after the NBA wraps up. Todays main topic is an attempt to build a new team live on the podcast that would cost $50 at a Limited Level and $100 for Rares. Keep in mind we will be combining scarcities for the rare all Star team and plan to play our 3 limiteds to keep the cost down. How expensive have players gotten? Is this even possible? Will we only be able to afford bench players? All that and more is answered on today’s episode. As always we end with some of our favorite games like MLB Pickle. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we liked putting it together.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/batting-practice-podcast/support

Is it me or is our title a bit too long? Oh wait, I don't really care as I want to show all of you the amazing topics we got into in our hour recording together this week. Jacob was traveling for a wedding so Josh and Andrew held down the fort and partnered up for Episode 39.

We had been going down a few rabbit holes over our previous weeks so we made sure to cover news and updates this week with the launch of the Sorare MLB referral program and the Sandlot. The boys also speculated what it would look like if collections made their way to Sorare MLB and Andrew said they would be "morons" if they did not eventually add it. After all what is more collectible than baseball cards?

Josh officially broke his Brewers curse and witness the Brewers defeat the defending World Series Champions in the Houston Astros. Getting to see 2 back to back games is always a treat, especially if you have Sorare players battling it out on the field in front of you. Let us know if you get more excited watching your hitter or pitcher live or on tv. Across all sports, Sorare is great for following live teams and players and gives you something to cheer about on every play. If you are reading this and do not play Sorare, sign up with our referral link - https://t.co/0NZoil9D1U

Our main topic for today's episode is based around Josh's own dilemma of how to field the best All Star Rare team. Should he sell his elite rare and buy 2 rares for the literal price of one? He and Andrew dive into the weeds and share their thoughts on how to think about fielding the best mixed scarcity team.

Finally we wrap up the podcast by playing MLB's By the Numbers, can you beat our score of 22?

We are back with another exciting episode of the Batting Practice podcast. Following last week's spin of "All Rewards" we have 3 cards to giveaway. Be sure to check out our Twitter for how to enter - https://twitter.com/batpracticepod/status/1659250079058755616?s=20

In spirit of the Sorare Medium post this week in partnership with Jon Morosi - https://medium.com/sorare/early-underperformers-correa-lodolo-among-slow-starters-primed-to-bounce-back-faaf437dcb1b where he discussed his underperformers to start the year. Expectations can be high for many players and there is always a group that fail to live up to their draft positions or lofty projections when the season gets going.

We are officially 25% of the way through the season so we came up with our list of Bounce Back candidates that we believe will finish the season much better than how they started it. After all, I think the soccer adage applies to baseball too: form is temporary, class is permanent.

Listen to the episode to hear the reason why we picked who we did and check out the full list here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1btpmJhXMUhs-PGqVR1rYWcLRQbguC6hQopsy4DBarJI/edit?usp=sharing

Finally we end with a little Road to Glory Update. Man the common competitions can be fierce but we are confident our luck will change soon or else we may need to apply some consequences if we do not turn things around.

Thank you to all for listening and if you have not please rate and review us!

Wow, can you believe it has been 37 Episodes of the Batting Practice Podcast? We have a heavy and controversial topic this week asking whether Sorare MLB has been a success or a failure! One thing we do know is that this podcast has been successful based on our goals so thank you to every one of our listeners out there.

Getting into it, we try to take a balanced approach asking the deep questions of whether we think the game has been successful or not. To answer this, Jacob has pulled some great numbers so that we are not talking out of our behinds the whole time. We may be a bit biased as one of the leading Sorare MLB Podcasts but try our best to approach it from both sides. Let us know what you think on Twitter as that is the perfect place for civil discussion.

As always we balance out the heavy content with a light hearted fare with story time, fungibles (physical cards from Jacob), and Sorare rewards we won over the last week. Come have a laugh with us or at our expense. Let us know if Andrew is too gullible as we can give you his phone number to sell him stuff.

Stay tuned to our Twitter as we spun the All Rewards slice on our wheel this episode which means we are each giving away a reward if we win. This could end up being our biggest giveaway yet after Andrew's Corbin Burnes.

Thank you all for listening and tell a friend about us if you have not!

We are back with another episode of the Batting Practice podcast, your favorite Sorare MLB podcast. Josh joined us for half the episode as the demands of PT school are a bit much with over a dozen examinations over the next few weeks. Wish him luck on Twitter.

That did not stop us from gloating a bit too much this episode that we did not even get to our prepared content. Jacob had his biggest win ever in Adolis Garcia who had one of the biggest single day games in Sorare MLB history. The power of Sorare is when your rewards compound on each other and with that much firepower in his lineup, watch out for his first podium. Rewards are not limited to baseball as the boys share their recent successes in the game of football and basketball. Sorare can be fun when you focus on the positives.

We are doing our first ever Rare card giveaway on Twitter right now https://twitter.com/batpracticepod/status/1654203616276758529 that will run from now through gameweek lock on Monday. Sam Moll is a relief pitcher for the Oakland (Las Vegas) A's and is a key piece to help any manager progress from limiteds to rares.

We cover our performance of our road to glory account and set our lineups for the weekend. Listen to how we analyze our team and scout players as our goal is to entertain and make you a better manager.

Finally we end with a Sporcle quiz on naming baseball players who share the same name. Take it now and see if you can do better than us. https://www.sporcle.com/games/hempick/mlb-baseball-before-and-after

Jacob and Andrew hold down the fort this week as Josh studies for his big PT exam. Word on the street is it went well and you may be able to see him for that knee or back pain thats been nagging you in 1 years time. I still cannot believe it is Episode 35 or that I am typing this away on my 27th birthday. My biggest advice to friends is to just have fun and especially on your birthday. It can be simple, do something nice for yourself like treating yourself to lunch or a cup or coffee, maybe even a Messi card?

Enough of my ramble, we have a podcast description to write. We are back for Week 2 of our Road to Glory team which we created on last week's podcast if you have not seen already. We had a decent week cracking into the top 50% of the prospect league earning us a HUGE upgrade in the closing pitcher position in Emmanuel Clase who is going right into our lineup.

Since we are starting out with this team we are covering a lot of our team management during the podcast to give you a perspective into how we set our lineups, swap cards and evaluate who we think is going to have a big gameweek. In future episodes these will be much smaller as we do not want to turn our podcast into a Road to Glory series. For that head over to our YouTube channel for regular updates on our team: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsO8lcRWSgu2TCBAYwlX-bw

Finally we end with our favorite game - MLB Pickle - https://mlbpickle.com/. Do we guess the correct player?

Thank you to all who watch and if you leave us a reply or DM on Twitter you just may get featured on a future episode!

We are back with another episode of the Batting Practice Podcast and boy do we have a good one for you. Baseball is hitting its stride as the season shakes out flukes from the real deal. The list of players who had fantastic months is endless while the list of players with fantastic seasons is much shorter.

We are pleased to share that we received expressed written consent from Sorare to start a Road to Glory account for baseball which will allow us to combine our common knowledge and share the progress of our common team as we move up divisions. Any limited rewards we win will be immediately given away so make sure to follow us closely as we hopefully have some fun rewards to share.

During Episode 34, the boys draft their Road to Glory team, pooling our collective knowledge on players we like and those that are overrated. Listen in to hear our strategies for drafting as well as for scouting purposes as we give loads of budget player recommendations that can strengthen your baseball lineups. We will be sharing our lineup every week as well as how we did. This will allow us to have additional giveaways where we do "Beat our Score" competitions that act almost as a Batting Practice threshold.

Per usual we get into some shenanigans and have a few laughs mostly at Josh's expense this week who forgot to set his Sorare MLB lineups ahead of the early morning deadline. Don't worry, he will not do it again and especially not for weekend competitions where YOU can win cards we give away. We also give Josh some tips that should be helpful for all managers to avoid missing lineup deadlines.

Lastly, we end with some fun, or Jacob's version of fun, which involves a quiz testing our knowledge of the best players across baseball from each of the last 100 seasons. Yes, baseball is an incredibly old sport. Have some laughs as we struggle and see if we can beat the site average of 62%.

Thank you very much for listening and if you are new, be sure to like and follow.

The MLB Season is fast start and surprises are found all around the league: did you see the undefeated Rays coming? That is the fun of a new season as it gives every franchise the opportunity to start fresh and have hope that maybe it is their year. That said we are barely 10% into the extended regular season which did not change the total number of games which still sits at 162. Thus if your team, Sorare or MLB, is off to a bad start, do not fret as there are many more games to be played.

That said, the boys have been scouring the data after the first few Sorare MLB Gameweeks and have answers to important questions like

1) Do I put a Starting Pitcher who is Relief eligible in that Reliever Position? Think Spencer Strider or Podcast Favorite, Chris Flexen.

2) Am I better off playing an extra hitter or pitcher in the flex position?

3) Should I play my best cards in the Pro or All Star Competitions?

While we do like to discuss serious things like you saw above, we want to make the podcast fun and engaging so we sprinkle in a few goofy segments that hopefully make you laugh. We are excited to bring back highlights and lowlights which feature 2 plays from the previous week that are exceptional and disastrous for the players and teams involved.

Bonus Segment: In case you have not seen, teams are celebrating home runs by adorning celebratory hats or using props which is just plain fun. We like fun baseball and are glad to see teams and players embracing it. That said we do have to rank teams based on these hats/props and not everyone can be a winner. Let us know what you think of our list!

As the episode count continues to grow the content just gets more fun to make. First I want to thank all of you across social media who have been engaging with our content. The amount of love and support we have seen since the season began makes us extremely proud. We appreciate every single one of our listeners.

MLB Opening Weekend has passed and yes it is too early to extrapolate these series to the rest of the season but it does feel very good to see your team get off to a hot start. The Phillies have started slowly while the Twins shrugged off the Minnesota chills to keep winning. As Brewer fans we have been extremely pleased with how the season started and are excited to see how the young talent within our team continues to develop.

Similarly, don't be too disapointed if Gameweek 1 did not go your way or let it get to your head if things went well. In case you forgot, MLB still has a 162 game season so there will be more gameweeks to come. Jacob and Josh dealt with some disappointing players while Andrew got a bit lucky and sneaked out two Tier 2's across Rare and Limited.

This Episode marks the start of our giveaway series where we will be spinning a random wheel every week and giving out our rewards that match the spun tier. This week the wheel landed on Tier 2 so if Andrew, Jacob, or Josh win a Tier 2 reward during the weekend Gameweek (#3), a randomly selected winner will win that reward.

How to enter: To be eligible, all you need to do is comment on our Twitter thread and show that your Common All Star Lineup beat one of ours. The winner will be drawn live on next week's podcast for those that are eligible.

Thank you all for attending this week's episode!

We are back with another exciting episode of the Batting Practice Podcast and could not be enthused that Opening Day is finally here! Spring is sort of in the air in the Midwest and we cannot wait for the crack of the bat and the smells of the stadium ( hot dog anyone? ).

Here at Batting Practice, we are always trying to elevate our game and provide you relevant content to elevate and improve your Sorare MLB journey. That is why we are dedicating Episode 31 to discussing what players you should target that all cost below 12 diamonds.

We have 3 or more value players at each position as we each made our list independently and shared them to our collective list live on the podcast. Listen in as we defend and explain our picks to give more background on why we like a certain guy. It can be hard to afford those 20 point studs without scraping the bottom of the player pool. We want to give you some names that can shine and put up numbers of a higher priced player all for less diamonds. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EcewDg9untFFjEPt_py8ZOiocTVqa53FLdXJ-mLd10Q/edit?usp=sharing

I had no idea March could feel so much like Christmas. After a very quiet offseason, Sorare MLB is dropping news and updates faster than Drake takes between albums. If you missed it, Sorare MLB announced some major updates for Season 2 including new competitions, rules changes, and more. If you want to hear more about that, listen to our last episode.

There is so much to cover and not enough time in every episode so we are breaking things up into smaller episodes so you do not miss any important details. This week we took a close look back at Sorare MLB's Reddit AMA hosted by David Byttow - https://www.reddit.com/r/Sorare/comments/11r86z8/sorare_head_of_engineering_david_byttow_answers/ . There were some good questions and vague answers so we did our best to parse the business speak and deliver our takes and thoughts on what the team is actually saying. Of course we like to keep it fun and light and hope you laugh along the way with us.

Season 2 cards are live and on the market and boy do they look good. Props to the Sorare design team for pushing the design forward and create some very pleasing, visually designed cards. We give our thoughts on what the market could look like, especially for players switching positions like Spencer Strider only minted as a Starting Pitcher.

Finally, we end with our MLB Pickle, will the streak continue?

Batting Practice is back with a vengeance as we get ready for the 2023 MLB Season that is 10 days away!!!

Sorare MLB get their stuff together and provided an update on Medium (or was it Twitter or Discord or Reddit? idk... ) - https://medium.com/sorare/key-updates-for-sorare-mlb-season-2-837ed954f1a0 ahead of the season which means we can get prepared and off to a strong start when the real season begins.

Since baseball is the primary focus of our podcast, we filled the whole hour with our breakdown of their post, analyzing every work to help you understand how to best position your gallery and which competitions we recommend focusing on. Sorare may also be listening to this podcast as a few of our recommendations made there way into the official changes in Season 2!

Thank you all for attending and now you are ready to get in the game.

In case you live under a rock or made the smart decision to never get a Twitter or join the Sorare Discord, sentiment within the community has soured of late. This has spread to several of the top Sorare podcasts this week as the negativity has become trendy and relevant. Here on Batting Practice, we have felt the extreme negativity has been a bit overblown but we are not afraid to call Sorare out where we see problems.

Thus, we are excited to bring you a fresh way to cover this sentiment: Sorare Mean Tweets. We scoured the depths of Twitter to find some scathing takes (not very hard) and read them to you word for word. To respect the authors we are keeping it anonymous as we want to let this Episode speak for the community not as individuals.

Sit back, listen in, and let us debate the merits of each author's argument while also keeping it light and fun. After all, Sorare is just a game, right?

Episode 26 and climbing. The Batting Practice podcast is proudly hosted every week by Andrew, Jacob, and Josh every week with new episodes released on Saturday. Thank you to all who have listened and supported us. We are just getting started.

This was a fun one to record as the hour flew by leaving us excited by our hot takes and the future of Sorare. In case you missed it or smartly do not have a Twitter, the Sorare community has been extremely vocal over the last few weeks with pitchforks promptly out decrying card prices, auction rates, rewards, and honestly anything that came to mind. While we do like to call out Sorare when we think things can be improved, we largely stand with Sorare in this case and wish more folks would stay rational. However, as podcast creators, we love the opportunity this gives us to talk about it and offer our thoughts.

MLS returns this weekend which means that Soccer is finally back in the continental United States after a long offseason that saw Emanuel Reynoso disappear and several exciting players join the league. Thanks to Jacob, we are all Charlotte FC fans and are rooting for them to grow in their 2nd season even with tough losses like losing Kahlinha.

Josh had a great week and is the first of the Batting Practice hosts to win a card from the new free to play contests after his Premier League lineup went Off! We share a little bit of our strategies but will save the rest for a future episode.

We end our discussion with our look at the Sorare MLB market or lack there of. While things are quiet currently in the offseason, we expect things to pick up as we get closer to the start of the 2023 season. This should bring the arrival of Season 2 cards and an uptick in auctions (oh no!!)

We have made it to Episode 25 and are still going strong. We are on the cusp of baseball returning in its totality with pitchers and catchers reporting this week :)

The World Baseball Classic is fast approaching and the boys discuss whether this will help or hurt players at the start of the season.

The main topic of today's podcast is gamemodes. They are the most important part of the game and are literally the game itself. Currently we only have 2 plain gamemodes that allow users to win cards of the same scarcity or one higher. We expect Sorare MLB to closely mirror Sorare NBA in their contest requirements and require more Rare cards in Rare divisions.

Next, we put on our tin-foil, I mean creative hats, to come up with some fresh new game ideas for the MLB product. Let us know what you think of our ideas or if you have some of your own. The best idea will get a shout out on our next episode.

Finally, we end the episode with a new game: Guess the Player. No, we are not guessing a random footballer but rather playing MLB's version aptly named MLB Pickle - https://mlbpickle.com/

Thank you for all of the support thus far. We are just getting started.

You heard that right, we have now been recording for almost half a year and have produced 23 Sorare-focused episodes every Saturday for your amusement. If you have not already, leave a rating, and share us with a friend who has been telling you they need a new podcast to listen to.

If you are new around here, we are Batting Practice, a Sorare MLB focused podcast that also highlights other developments in the broader game for Soccer and Basketball. If you are here for the baseball, we promise we have lots of great content cooking ahead of Opening Day 2023 which is approaching in less than 2 months!

There has been lots of news and excitement for Sorare NBA and Football over the past few weeks with the Premier League's arrival to Sorare kicking off the week with a bang. The boys share their thoughts on the league itself, players we like, and how we are approaching the draft to ensure we have the best squad possible for the rest of the season.

We finish the episode with our favorite game, Who Are Ya? as we try to name a specific player from the Premier League. Will we prevail and identify the player or be left ghosted and confused? Listen now to find out.

Phew, Episode 22 has been recorded and completed with the boys recording a day early this week due to busy schedules. No matter how crazy thing get, we are dedicated to creating quality content for our fans and will make accommodations to make sure this podcast goes out in a timely manner.

The boys have had success (or luck) with Sorare NBA over the past few gameweeks. Andrew and Jacob each placed in the top 50 last weekend earning them a T2 card. To see what we won, head over to our TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@battingpracticepod. The podium remains ever elusive but we are hopeful for a Batting Practice win sometime in 2023.

Do not let the title scare you away. Andrew shares his approach to gallery construction for Sorare NBA which involves amassing a large number of limited cards as the foundation for his gallery and then building up to higher scarcities from there. Is he a fool for holding so many limited cards, let us know on Twitter @BatPracticeaPod

The main topic for this weeks episode involves our approach to roster construction for the upcoming capped mode competitions. Cap Mode 240 presents managers a unique opportunity to play a variety of lineups such as 4 outfield players with no keeper or 5 total players including a goalkeeper. We do not have to tell you how expensive goalkeepers can be. Thus, if you can play capped 240 without one, it represents an opportunity for managers on a budget to grind thresholds post gameplay update. Do not worry if this makes your head spin as we have the answer for YOU on today's podcast.

Thank you for listening and if you have not already, share us with a friend. We are trying to build a community and what better way to start is building around our listener's own community.

Our podcast is now legally allowed to drink in the US which means we have a fun one for you all this week. This was a huge week for Sorare Football as the team outlined their plans for the sport in 2023. We saw a whole host of new game modes unveiled including league specific competitions for La Liga, Seria A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1. Not stopping there, Sorare announced a series of capped competitions at each scarcity which award different scarcities allowing users to progress up the ladder to higher divisions. It seems like the community consensus around the updated can be summed up with confusion as it takes a master cartographer to unpack the true message from the team ( National Treasure anyone? )

We are bringing back the fun on the podcast as the boys play "Guess the Club" which challenges you to identify the club in question using the prompts the game returns like how far away the club is from where you guessed. For example England is 1000km west of Sweden.

Please leave a like if you enjoyed this episode and share it with your friends. We appreciate all the support we have received thus far and are excited to see where this podcast goes in 2023.

Episode 20 may be one of our best yet as things get heated right away. We did away with the pleasantries and jumped straight into how to measure your Sorare skills as a manager. Thankfully, we settle the discussion so you will have to listen to hear where we landed. Jacob finished 3rd in our latest Panini pack challenge despite none of us winning cards with our pack lineups. Look out for the Twitter Poll this weekend and vote on who Jacob should play in his lineup.

The featured topic for this show was how to manage your gallery across Sorare sports. There are a lot of emerging strategies on how best to play each sport but they assume that managers are only optimizing for or playing that sport. As budget managers, we understand that simply depositing more money into the game is not always possible and that this game of resource allocation happens not just within sports but across them. We share our strategies and a budget target if you are trying to field a team across all 3 and even give our insight into which sport we would recommend to managers if they can only afford to play one.

Sorare's second multi-week competition has arrived and allows managers to pick players from La Liga in both a weekly and season long format. The competiton is in beta and is expected to span a couple of gameweeks. Jacob shares his hot take that this is a draft to work out the bugs before eventually rolling this out for the Premier League!!!

Here at Batting Practice, we love to compete and enjoy competitions like the La Liga Draft as it allows us all to compete on a level playing field. If you want to join our league, use the link: https://sorare.com/invite/pl/RGA6RL?referrer=upnorthjacob - What do you think of these draft-based competitions? Are they truly the best way to evaluate your Sorare skills as everyone has access to the same budget and players?

Thank you all for the support so far, we are just getting started.

A short and sweet episode this week as we kick off 2023 with a morning podcast. Andrew's trip to Milwaukee led us to switch from our usual recording to an early morning special between work calls and other responsibilities.

We hope you enjoyed our first Baseball Primer helping to educate you more on the game of baseball as we approach the 2023 MLB season. Stay tuned for more and let us know what you think on Twitter.

19 Episodes and Counting... if you get the reference than you're probably a fellow American; if you did not it is probably for the best. Let's get into the details!

Andrew, Jacob, and Josh share their thoughts on Scouting Mission #2 which wrapped up this week. Managers were asked to obtain 10 of 20 eligible players who represented the highest scorer each game week. If successful, they then received a Tier 2 Limited card of a random player. We have the takes on the podcast but if you participated or decided not to, let us know on Twitter or via the poll below if you are listening on Spotify. We would love to hear your feedback!

Auto-Bidding has arrived to Sorare NBA allowing managers to enter a max price they are willing to pay and Sorare will automatically bid for them until the auction value exceeds this price. This is a standard practice on auction sites like eBay and it is great to see Sorare trying to improve the user experience. While this sounds like a W on paper, listen to our takes to understand the full story on how this will impact your gallery and future success with auctions.

Thank you all for the continued support. We are just getting started.

Opening Day is 89 days away, and we are beginning our overview of how baseball and Sorare MLB work to prepare you for the upcoming season. These episodes will be sprinkled in over the next 3 months when things are quiet within the football and basketball games. It is hard to root for defense because deep down we all like seeing point totals increase or the swoosh of the ball as it hits the back of the net. Understanding defense is key to begin wrapping your head around how baseball works as mastering positioning and who is on the field is critical to understanding the other facets of the game. Here on batting practice, we strive to make you a better manager and leave you entertained. Whew, I bet you are as exhausted reading that title as I was typing it. We are back with Episode 17 covering all Sorare sports with a special lookback on 2022 with all that has changed and the highs and the lows from the world of Sorare.

If you follow us on TikTok, you would have seen our World Cup recap video featuring Andrew's semibold call to stick with Argentina winning the tournament even after losing Matchday 1 to Saudi Arabia. The first ever Sorare Global Cup is also officially over. Congrats to !Fulgurance on winning the Batting Practice league with a whopping 2,399 points. For that effort, we are awarding him a National Series Christian Pulisic aka the Lebron James of Soccer. Unfortunately you cannot use him yet in Sorare NBA.

Sorare had a great year in 2022 growing its user base and branching into new sports: baseball and basketball. This is part of the reason why you are listening to this podcast, as we wanted to share our baseball knowledge with all of you to make you better S07 players.

Andrew shares his bone-headed trading strategy of trying to buy the "cheat code" players ahead of the match deadline and churning them after lock to have ether to repeat the plan for the next game week. Buying guys 20% higher and selling them for 10% less quickly adds up and does not lead to great trading results. Listen to the full story and laugh at his pain.

Finally, the boys get into our 2022 superlatives sharing our MVPs across all sports, our least valuable player (LVP) and our "Most likely to...". This was a fun segment with lots of laughs. If you are STILL reading, share your superlatives with us on Twitter.

Our podcast is now legally allowed to drive in the United States as we just hit episode 16!! Thank you to all of our listeners over the last few months. Each one of you mean the world to us and it is why we strive to make the highest quality content and show up each week to give our best. If you have not already, please take the time to rate and review us, this is instrumental in the algorithms finding us and getting our content out to more Sorare fans.

Enough with the self-promotion, you are here to learn what this episode is all about and we have the details.

Andrew, Jacob, and Josh reflect on our Global Cup Journey's so far and breakdown our expectations for the final and 3rd place match. Things get heated when we breakdown Sorare's announcement yesterday to introduce Soccer Starter Bundles. It is clear Sorare is trying to convert the masses that signed up for the Global Cup, it is unknown currently whether this strategy will pay off but we applaud their efforts and their intentions.

Finally, private leagues have arrived for Sorare NBA and Soccer (MLB coming soon... ). The idea is fantastic as Sorare is best played with friends and trying to understand how they are doing can be challenging. This feature makes this significantly more simply and opens up a world of possibilities for Sorare going forward.

Let us know what you think on Twitter or your favorite social media of choice.

Episode 15 was freshly recorded on Thursday following the news from Sorare heard around the world on the future state of thresholds heading into 2023. The announcement of the announcement sparked a large amount of speculation which was finally put to bed when the Sorare team not only announced thresholds are staying but expanding to new scarcities. We have yet to see them expand beyond Sorare soccer but the capped system they introduced would scale nicely into Sorare NBA. Aaron Judge received the largest contract in MLB history and will be a Yankee for the rest of his career. Can he keep up this MVP form into 202: and beyond? Finally we end with a time honored tradition on the Batting Practice podcast: Panini Pack openings. This time the opening comes with a twist. One of the players from each pack must be used in our next Limited Contender lineup where we will be competing against each other. Can you beat our score. This competition will start with the midweek slate beginning on Monday

Our second episode of the Sorare Global Cup is live! We redeem ourselves guessing a world cup player on "Who Are Ya?", discuss if players should be sitting or not during the group stage and World Cup in general, and provide updates on Sorare NBA and MLB. Although there is not much to be talked about other than the Sorare global cup, we are seeing new game modes in NBA coming this upcoming game week. As for MLB, we now have common swaps and should be expecting more scouting missions soon!

It is turkey week in the United States leaving the boys to record this episode early so we can continue to deliver our podcast every Saturday. This was a huge week of sports in the United States with traditions old and new where most of the country was expected to watch the England vs US match on Friday. Andrew, Jacob, and Josh had our predictions for how the game would go so listen in to see if we were right or wrong and have a few laughs at our expense.

Matchday 1 was underway with things not looking great for Andrew as he decided to go all in on Argentina for the global cup selecting both Messi and De Paul to perform well against Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, the Saudis shocked the world and foiled Messi's first World Cup game leaving Argentina on the brink of elimination for Matchday 2.

Enough with the soccer talk.

Sorare MLB's first Scouting Mission wrapped up this week rewarding managers for collecting previous MVP winners with this year's AL and NL MVPs in Aaron Judge and Paul Goldschmidt. The boys offered their opinions on this first challenge along with recommendations on how Sorare can improve future ones.

Also, Sorare MLB announced managers would receive 150xp every week on all cards held in their gallery to help reward early adopters with a nice XP bonus to ensure cards stay powerful for Sorare MLB season 2.

We end the episode discussing the latest developments for Sorare NBA, discussing the implications of the new Eastern and Western Conference competitions and the new beginner league to help new managers onboard and learn the game.

We appreciate all of the support we have received thus far and look forward to continue making quality content for our fans. We are just getting started.

The MLB season may be over but the Sorare MLB community has managed to stay busy. We learned the results of MLB Rookie of the Year, Cy Young, and MVP races across the AL and NL. While there were largely no major surprises in who was chosen, the boys share their thoughts on what this means for your galleries. The biggest MLB update this week was Sorare's announcement of the first Scouting Mission which rewards managers with a free limited AL and NL MVP if you collect previous award winners.  The reaction in the community has been bleak with managers taking to their favorite Elon Musk tainted social media platform, Twitter to let the team know this first take on offseason utility came up short. Andrew, Jacob, and Josh share this sentiment but also try to give a balanced opinion by sharing how this has also been a success at the same time. The Sorare Global Cup launches tomorrow and it is not too late to our own Batting Practice League - https://sorare.com/invite/pl/AMKJWI?referrer=andruoo7  For more information on prizes, see our YouTube Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/5ikLrHZ1Kqo?feature=share  The boys will all be backing Team USA and while we are excited to watch our first US World Cup football since 2014 we are tempering our expectations for the 2nd youngest team heading to Qatar. The boys share their favorite teams to win the whole tournament as well as some dark horses to keep our your rader. The episode wraps up with the boys trying their luck at identifying which countries hosted the previous tournaments: can you beat us? https://www.sporcle.com/games/g/worldcup_hosts  While we still are a baseball first podcast, we enjoy bringing you updates from the whole world of Sorare. We are just getting started!

In our first official episode since the beginning of the MLB offseason, we start off in stride giving our final thoughts about the World series and overall first impression of the MLB Sorare season. However, with a long stretch of no games going on, we delve into to Sorare's other sports too, NBA and Soccer! (Anyone see the ever so slight name change?)

Sorare Soccer just recently came out with the new Global Cup world cup mode, and what better way to celebrate it than to start our own league!

And finally, we get a chance to talk about Sorare NBA drops and swaps and the relevant strategies involved with them. And for those who watch until the end, we have a special unboxing surprise that we would totally recommend staying along for!

Another week another podcasting platform. Shoutout to John Nellis for sharing his setup with us as we try to improve our recording quality and deliver the best content possible to our listeners. We inked a 1 year deal with Zoom for our official podcasting platform. Andrew makes a ridiculous bet about the future of Zoom's stock price as we see whether it will be above $100 by Episode 50, which is nearly 1 year away! Before we look to future milestones, it is important to celebrate the ones already achieved; the team was ecstatic that we made it to 10 episodes.

A lot has changed since Episode 1, please go listen if you are newer or just found us on your podcast feed. Sorare has launched a brand new sport through Sorare NBA and much to our earlier statements, Andrew, Jacob, and Josh have been buying cards and setting lineups after promising to wait and see for a bit (those are always famous last words).

As the MLB Season winds down in a spectacular fashion with the World Series clash between the Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies, the boys share their hot takes on what makes a game exciting to watch. After a barrage of home runs one night, both teams were scoreless through the next game until a late game breakthrough by the Astros.

We will still be a baseball-first podcast but we want to share our thoughts on other Sorare Sports as we believe it is important for Baseball Managers to be aware of what is happening elsewhere. It seems like Sorare is rewarding managers who play multiple sports as we saw them gift us all 4 common cards this week to strengthen our Sorare NBA gallery just for participating in Sorare MLB. We expect a similar participation bonus when Sorare MLB launches again next year so we think its important to at least give the others a go.

Episode 10 was full of many tangents, hot takes, and debates which we hope will keep you engaged and leave you entertained. As always you can find us on Twitter @BatPracticePod

A quick note on this podcast before we get to the usual description, the high quality video tracks were broken due to a glitch in our recording software so we are forced to use our less quality backup tracks. We are currently evaluating our podcast software as we strive to make the highest quality content for our listeners. Keeping up our trend following Sorare NBA's Launch we dedicate the first portion of our podcast sharing our thoughts on the game so far. Jacob and Josh could not resist the temptation to pick up a few cards as competitions opened sooner than expected. We are all excited about the potential of the Sorare NBA game and how it can help build out the Sorare ecosystem, helping Sorare MLB in the long term.  The boys give their thoughts on Sorare MLB's juicy teaser on what they have planned for the offseason as there was quite a bit to react to. What will competitions look like and what sort of improvements do we want to see in Season 2. We understand there has been a bit of controversy around the Sorare MLB game around auction frequency, prize pools, and more. We have our takes on this as we try to hear both sides of the debate as the conversation gets going.  Let us know your thoughts on Twitter with this continued NBA/MLB split. We have several baseball only episodes planned for the offseason to make you a better manager before the next season. That's all we are saying for now :) . Like we always say, we are just getting started!

Batting Practice will remain a dedicated Sorare MLB podcast, covering the latest updates to the game and the world of baseball. However, being the Sorare addicts that we are, we will be playing every sport that is launched and sprinkle in our thoughts on other games from time to time. With MLB Playoffs in full stride, we wanted to take the time to share our thoughts on the launch of Sorare NBA and what that means for the platform overall. We have discussed how growing up in the States has formed our love of baseball, basketball has also been a love of ours from playing as kids to watching our hometown Milwaukee Bucks take the championship on the back of Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Let us know your thoughts on Twitter on whether you want us to talk more about Sorare NBA as we are committed to creating the content you want to watch.

With that said, Sorare MLB had a dramatic week with the closing of the Gameweek prior to all games played to a normalizing of rewards after a large amount was given away during the Wild Card Round. We have all the takes you have been looking for and more as some of us stood to gain massively if the Yankees game had been included.

Episode 7 is split between our building excitement for Sorare NBA as we give our takes ahead of the coming community event on Tuesday, October 18th. Our main topic of the day was our reflection on how our teams performed in week 1 of the playoffs. The episode is fun of laughs, mostly at Josh's expense, who found 6/7 cards in his lineup eliminated after the games concluded.

This episode features an exciting giveaway from Josh so stay glued to our Twitter feed where we will share additional details on how you can enter and win 2 cards this week!

We say this a lot but we truly do appreciate all of the support we have seen on our podcast thus far; the upgrade we made this week is our commitment to making our podcast as entertaining and quality we can for our listeners. We are just getting started!

It is hard to believe the MLB Playoffs are here as it feels like yesterday we were building our first lineups for the new Sorare MLB. We share our experience with the game thus far including how we got involved, our strategies when building our gallery, and of course our best finishes.  Following up from last week's episode, Andrew and Jacob share that they were able to win playoff tickets from the Playoff Push event. We are super happy that Sorare MLB is pushing the boundaries of NFTs and real-world experiences, especially a world-class one like a MLB Playoff game. The boys also look at the coming games for the Wild Card Round and are impressed Sorare did not nerf the prize pool despite only 8 teams playing. If you can even make a partial lineup, we recommended giving it a try as you never know what scores are needed to win prizes.  As always, thank you for your continued support as we continue to build out our podcast. Andrew, Jacob, and Josh are back again with Episode 5 of the Batting Practice podcast. Thank you for all the support so far and if you are new or a longtime listener, please make sure to rate and review us. Any feedback is always appreciated as it helps us make better content and have others discover our podcast.

Sorare MLB is bridging the gap between the NFTs and real life experiences through their creative auction promotions and of course postseason competitions. Andrew shares his thoughts on how it feels like there are hidden messages within each of Sorare MLB's medium posts, particularly the most recent one sharing the Unique auction schedule for Sept 26th - Oct 2nd. It appears that winners of special limited auctions in addition to the unique will receive postseason tickets, effectively bundling a digital and real experience together. We hope Sorare continues to do this going forward and expands it to the Sorare NBA and Sorare Soccer games.

Finally Batting Practice wraps up with another exciting Sorare news of the week: playoffs. Competitions will shift from the day of the week model to being based on the playoff rounds themselves. Top finishes across all scarcities will win playoff tickets, again helping to bridge the gap to a real world experience in addition to receiving a great NFT.

Continue following our journey through the postseason and into the 2023 season by following us across social media and your preferred podcast platform.

We cannot believe it has been 1 month since the first episode was released and have been blown away by the support from the Sorare community.

Sorare MLB is all about progression and Josh is ready to make the leap from limiteds into his first Rare team. He was able to win a Rare Card from the Limited Pro Competition and is now seeking the advice of Andrew and Jacob on how to build this into a full Rare team. Like many small managers, Josh has a strict budget and has given Andrew and Jacob 0.2 eth to work with. How far will that take us? Will we be able to build a competitive team capable of winning cards? Listen now to hear our thoughts on what cards to look for and how to best construct your roster to compete in Rare divisions.

Before we get into our main segment, the group discusses the Shohei Ohtani Unique auction which went for $90k, a record breaker for Sorare MLB. While this amount of money is huge, it is significantly less than the most popular uniques from Sorare Soccer. Will Spencer Strider, the ultimate cheat code card sell for more than Ohtani's card did? No need to worry, Batting Practice has you with our takes to keep you the most informed Sorare MLB manager.

Episode 3 of the Batting Practice gets started with a bag with Andrew, Jacob, and Josh covering Sorare MLB updates including player follows and a new notification bar. This will surely help baseball managers better run their gallery and never miss out on key auctions.

The main topic for today's podcast involves our reaction to the recent MLB game rule's updates including a ban on the shift, larger bases, and a pitch clock; for the full rule changes check out this amazing summary from MLB.com - https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-2023-rule-changes-pitch-timer-larger-bases-shifts

These changes do not take place until the 2023 season but it is never too early for Sorare managers to begin positioning their gallery to make sure the 23' season is a successful one. Andrew, Jacob, and Josh review the latest updates to the Sorare MLB game including trades, card swaps and more. This was a huge update to the Sorare MLB game and gets it that much closer to the established Sorare Football product. On the day we recorded Sorare announced a new massive partnership with the NBA bringing basketball to the platform this fall. We did not miss this opportunity to discuss what teams and players we are excited for as well as how this can impact the Sorare MLB game short and long term. Finally, we got to our main topic for this episode: playoffs. With the season less than a month from ending we thought it would be the perfect time to explain how MLB playoffs work, which teams to watch out for, and most importantly how to position your gallery into the final month of the season. Of course we end the episode with our usual (favorite??) segment: highlights and lowlights where we review a top and not top play that has got us buzzing that week.

If you enjoyed this episode please rate and review us and share us with your friends. We are always looking for feedback on what we can do better to topics/segments you want to see. Please message us on Twitter @BatPracticePod to get in touch.
