Are you a senior or a caregiver of a senior looking for support and direction? Many folks just like you feel like they are alone in their journey. Artful Aging with Amy will show you that there is help around the corner and that a new support network is just one conversation away!
The conversation of how to help aging parents can be difficult, as many adult children don't want to come off as parenting their parents, but many have to have tough conversations and make hard decisions with and for their loved ones.
I am speaking with author and physical therapist, Teresa Moerer. In Teresa's book, The Art of Assisting Aging Parents, Teresa looks to build strategies and framework around caring for aging parents.
As a caregiver herself, Teresa has seen first hand the trial and tribulations of helping her parents age artfully while remaining present in her own life.

How to protect a senior from being scammed online is a new concern, surprisingly. As Covid kept everyone indoors, more and more people took to accomplishing their daily tasks and meeting online. Of particular interest, a large segment of seniors dove into learning zoom, face chat and many other apps in order to remain engaged while at home alone.
Manual Loloyan is my guest this episode and we are shining a light on technology and scams that target seniors. #cybersecurity #scam #seniorscams

Currently, there are over 7 million seniors in Canada and in the next 20 years, the senior population is expected to grow by 68%. Caring for many of these seniors are family caregivers, meaning often their adult children. It is estimated that there are 2.2 million caregivers who are also employed full-time.
This creates high stress and often times complicated lifestyle. Many people have to reduce or change their workloads or even change their entire life completely
Francesca Dattilo teaches her clients how to take control of their minds, get into the driver's seat of their emotions, master their stress, and get and keep healthy relationships. As a Coach, she works with women bosses (Business owners, Directors, and Executives) who have lost their way in a particular area of their lives, find their way by showing them how to reconnect to themselves so that they can create genuine success and truly live their Boss Life. #success #empoweringwomen #growth

Meditation for beginners, meditation and mindfulness for a caregiver is an extremely personal practice and what that means is that it's is yours to experience, to define. Nobody else's practice is going to guide you. It's important to know why you want to meditate and not base it on other people's meditation and mindfulness practices.
