Part 1: The internet is like a new Pax Romana, and for reason, Christians have not really understood its potential or have used it to its fullest. I am not sure how long the internet will remain open, and I am not of the opinion that it is inevitable, and eternal, as it is certainly the case that governments can restrict, censor and block the internet if they choose to.
Part 2: I see it as a way to clearly, regularly, and decisively proclaim the good news about Jesus, whom I believe is the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, the Saviour of the world, the Lamb of God, the presence, the power, and the person of God
Part 3: We are to We are to ‘encourage one another daily,’ and Jesus for Busy People is my way of encouraging you, and if God permits, I will do so until I am called home, because I see this as my calling, to present to you, and to others, a daily reflection on the life of Jesus as we live out our busy lives.
Part 4: I am not interested in a rambling podcast, or a long sermon, as I don’t believe these fit our times, or our needs. I have to date, crafted many messages, and most of them are on a theme, or a series, and so over the course of the years, they will cover, rather comprehensively, the person of Jesus, so we might know him better, and in knowing him, know ourselves and truly appreciate the good news for it is good, and it is the message we need to hear today. We all matter to God, and we all need to follow Jesus.
Part 1: In a way, the internet has changed nothing. People often lose interest in something and something new comes along. In the past, there have always been fake experts, snake-oil salesmen, or in ancient times, false prophets. Cancel culture is also not new, as politics has often condemned those outside the narrative. In the past, the unapproved were killed, or imprisoned, but these days, they are simply deplatformed, demonetized, and denounced. The use of A.I. for nefarious purposes is simply a new form of propaganda and that has been around for centuries.
Part 2: The path forward in presenting the good news is simply to provide a daily reflection on the life of Jesus, in audio form, for busy people, and this will, God willing, become a way to encourage people to follow Jesus, as we journey together to see the authenticity, the identity, the spirituality, and the freedom of Jesus, the presence, the power, and the person of God
Part 1: Churches have lost authenticity, authority, and relevance in a rapidly changing capitalism system. That is, essentially, the problem. Western capitalism is now bearing fruit. It is a bumper crop. We have had several generations that have produced crops of consumerism, materialism, and narcissism in the past, but nothing like today. The branches are laden with fruit, so heavy that they are struggling to stay upright. The fruit of our society is not goodness, love, or mercy, for these are the poisons in our capitalist system. They will kill it, and the prosperity with it, and so we do all we can to extinguish them.
Part 2: On one level, the internet is just another platform for the dissemination of information, and another place to craft a message, and a medium to transfer values. Many see the internet as the first vehicle or transmitter in history to do this, but it is just the latest, and one day, the internet itself will be obsolete and overtaken, perhaps because of WW3 and coming censorship wars.
Part 3: We live in an age of incredible prosperity, and during such times, it is usually the case that true spirituality, true faith, and true faithfulness to God takes a big hit. Wealth was for Jesus a warning sign of the potential for spiritual apostasy (Matthew 6: 24). His brother, James, devotes much of his letter taking on the wealthy in Christian communities. The teachings of Jesus and James, as well as Paul, John and Peter, echo the prophets of the Hebrew Bible and their teachings on wealth, such as Amos, and Malachi.
Part 4: The message is the same, the presence, the person, and the power of God, Jesus. In our prosperity, we have distracted ourselves from the inevitability of eternity.
Part 1: My name is Michael J. Sutton, and I am the founder of Freedom Matters Today, looking at freedom from a Christian perspective. My background was in academic research, and then theological study and pastoral work. When the pandemic struck, I joined the freedom movement, opposing lockdowns, mandates and vaccine passports.
Part 2: Imagine having a short chat with someone about one aspect of the life of Jesus, with one main point, something to ponder and leave with your friend as you go about your day, something true, something grounded in the Bible, something authentic about the life and significance of Jesus. That is the gist of Jesus for Busy People, a short reflection on Jesus, for busy people, in our busy world today.
Part 3: What church or denomination do you represent? I don't represent any church or denomination or sect. I am a simply a Christian, a follower of Jesus. I work independently of any Christian organization, though I was ordained in the Anglican tradition in 2017
Part 4: What is your goal? I believe the presence, the power, and the person of God is found in Jesus, and my goal is for us to deepen our understanding of the authenticity, spirituality, and identity of Jesus as we walk with him each day.
Part 1: Starting soon, Freedom Matters Today will begin our new private podcast, titled, Jesus for Busy People,’ a five-minute private podcast reflection on the person, the power, and the presence of Jesus. The focus will be on four themes that I think resonate with the world today: freedom, authenticity, identity, and spirituality.
Part 2: The methodology for Jesus for Busy People is different from ‘Every Day with Jesus, ‘Daily Bread,’ and many other Christian daily reflection programs. They tend to be ‘human focused,’ rather than God-focused
Part 3: Most Christians today have no idea who God is, they have no idea who Jesus is, and they have no idea who the Spirit is. Our modern, Western Christianity is unbalanced, it is off target, it is out of touch with the testimony of God, the Bible
Part 1: My motivation in starting Freedom Matters Today was, to proclaim, declare, and promote Christian freedom, in an age and society that opposed this freedom. Christianity without freedom, is spiritual tyranny.
Part 2: This absolutism of the culture war is not Christianity, and none of it comes from the Bible, but it is a product of the latest culture war, which is really, the war on public morality, or national civic virtue, and for those in societies with the façade of Christendom, it has to do with how everyone should be forced to behave, under the sword of the state, rather than anything about personal piety or Christian fidelity.

Part 1: I was challenged by Covid Hysteria, and I decided to focus my attention on defending the heart of the good news of Christianity, which is freedom.
Part 2: This is the heart of Western Christianity. It has become a monied faith,
a financial faith, a materialist faith.
Part 3: The good news of God is that the Father sent the Son, Jesus into the
world, and that the Son is the presence, the power, and the person of God. Jesus
knew who he was, Jesus was seen to be a man of deep authenticity, Jesus was a
man of spirituality, and he lived in perfect freedom.
Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. Will you stand for peace or stand for war?
True freedom has to do with a person's relationship with God and a person's relationship with others
Does God support the proud? In many ways the Christian faith is the enemy of nationalism because in Christ we see a common identity and common humanity and this is the last thing governments want.
What is the nature of American imperialism? What is God's attitude to our political system? Can a Christian support imperialism and war?
We are eternal beings, made in the image of God, and we are accountable and moral beings, one day to stand before God and account for our lives.
Behind imperialism is not God, but Diabolos, and his false promises. Greed, the heart of capitalism, is incompatible with a life following Jesus, but Western Christianity has confused the two so that without prosperity, there will be no Christianity.
Does Jesus like killing people? Many soldiers over the centuries have struggled with balancing their duty and their personal faith, but many civilians today want to kill their enemies, which suggest that something is wrong with the way Christianity is evolving. We are entering the end of free, personal faith, and the return of nationalist, cultural Christianity, so enjoy your spiritual freedom, for it is coming to an end and many of your 'Christian' friends are behind it.
Why does America support Israel? America supports Israel because of oil in the Middle East, as well as geopolitical strategic policies. Israel was created because of the Holocaust, and despite its many problems, remains responsible for the future of the Palestinian people.
Israel has three options going into the future. first eternal war under American colonial guidance, second, the two-state solution, and third, a new nation-state where all are welcome under the law.
Capitalism has profoundly changed the moral codes of Christians so that what the New Testament saw as a set of sins, is now embraced as virtues. Church is essential to minimize the damage Christians can inflict on the social and economic order. Christianity, as a ritual not a life means that the social and political order transforms the moral character of Christians more decisively that Jesus.
War in the Middle East is about oil, payback, and selfishness, and the answer to war is Jesus, a humanity made in the image of God, and an appeal to commonsense.
How many must die for peace in Israel's war in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran? Why do Christians ignore the suffering of the innocent in these conflicts? Can true Christians be so blind to the suffering of others? What is spiritual adultery and are Christians today guilty of it?
We are all responsible for this mess, morally
and spiritually. The failure for Israel to find peace is the failure of the
world
What is the truth about the Iran Israel War? The fruit of the Spirit includes love, and today,
with the Iran-Israel war, you see only hate and cheering by many churches who have
lost their way, lost their love, and lost their Lord.
The West's war against Russia is another crusade against the East where faith and flag have been mixed together. More lies have been promoted about Russia in these two years than the entire history of the Cold War.
Will Trump Save America? The future of America is and will be one where the state views its own citizens as the enemy. Christians ought to look to Jesus, not the President for help in their time of trouble.
The British and other European empires were very open about imperialism, but the American empire is a secret empire because it is widely denied. Across Europe, America prepares to topple Russia, and across the Asia Pacific, America prepares to take out China. Christians are on board because they believe God is on America's side.
We are not being told the truth about the West's war with Russia and the upcoming war with China. If Trump wins the 2024 election, he will be the face of America's new war against China. If Harris wins, she will preside over the current conflict with Russia. But a bad peace is better than a good war, and Jesus reminds us that Christians are called to be peacemakers. The Bible is very clear, there is not 'Just war.'
Should Christians oppose war? Should we stand for peace? It is time to choose, whether we let nationalism consume us, or seek a more inclusive future for all those made in the image of God. Jesus brought an end to the logic of revenge by absorbing in his body the sin of the world and satisfying divine justice.
Do Christians and Jews Worship the Same God? Given the support of many Christians for Zionism it might come as a surprise that Christians and Jews do not worship the same God. Christian Zionism is not Christian, and it is not Jewish, it is insulting to Jews because it seeks to hijack Jewish identity, and it is insulting to Christians because it teaches that Jews are God's elect and don't need the cross.
Unlike many Christian leaders today, Jesus Christ loves the Palestinian people. God did not come only Jewish people, but he came for the whole world, and his love is for all people. Jesus is a man of peace, love, and kindness. Many Christian leaders are fake Christians, they have no humility, they urge us to be sectarian, they hate the people of Gaza, and love the state of Israel, and they ignore the identity of the man they claim to follow, Jesus.
Christian Zionists ignore the history of Israel and the history of the world to promote a fake history of Israel which promotes American foreign policy.
Why are Christians apologists for genocide? For centuries Jewish people were persecuted by the same people who now claim to be friends of Israel. Israel will be betrayed by America one day.
Most people do not believe that Abraham existed, but if he did not, all claims about the land promised are illegitimate. What qualities did Abraham have and how is he our model?
There are two ways of viewing God. One is the religion of the soil, and the other is the religion of revelation. In one, God is a local, tribal deity, stuck in place. In the other is a God who is everywhere, for everyone, and who is not trapped by geography. Which God do you worship?

These days, Abraham has been enlisted as a slogan for the propaganda war in Gaza. Many Christians have weaponized the Bible to promote this war and rationalize the genocide. This series continues its defense of Abraham, a man whose reputation has been slandered by many, but whose story is significant for the identity of billions of people around the world.
Are the dying children of Gaza to blame for something? Many Christians say yes, because their nation refuses to support Israel. Is this true?
Today, it is said that about 14,000 children have been killed in Israel's genocide in Gaza, prompted by the events of October 7 last year. Children, it seems, are the ones who suffer around the world, innocent victims of family strife, national neglect and war. The Christians who say that God is on the side of Israel say that it was Abraham who was told that any nation to bless Abraham will be blessed, and any nation which curses Abraham will be cursed. They, are, of course, wrong, but this whole tragic story begins when two boys are born to one man, and this man fails in his duties to his wives, and to his children, and today, this family continues to endure the suffering of the children.
Are the Palestinian people cursed by God? For many Evangelical, Protestant American Christians, the answer is yes, for according to Genesis 12, all nations must bless Israel or be cursed by God. But what does Genesis 12 say? The way this chapter has been used by the Christians who stand with Israel is scandalous, it is fraudulent, and it is without merit. We are free, to stand with whomever we want, but the Bible nowhere prevents us from standing for children, women, and the victims of war. The promises of God do not contradict his character.

fight, and he defeated all that stands between us and true happiness which is
to know God and in knowing God knowing ourselves.
